Gaushala repents her idea of playing it rough with Bharti and explains an ever irritated Mridang her next compensatory move. Gaushala seeks apology for her behaviour from the family and Bharti in particular. Citing cause for restoration of peace and harmony in the family she arranges a satnarayan katha.Also to win back the faith of Bharti, gifts her with a saree.
After the katha, gaushala states that it is the unity and love which has been the strength of the family and the right vibes of the pooja shall keep them intact.Murli suggests that they should start the proceedings for Veena's marriage with Prakash.Mridang and gaushala are worried seeing one of their moves being back fired.They meet Prakash and lure him to deny the proposal of marriage to the family. On their arrival back home the family seeks explanation for the power cut in the house.
With the power bill huge , the family is concerned for the money to be paid. Gaushala suggests that the money could be taken from Bharti. Bansi asks Mridang to join back his work in the depot.Mridang and Gaushala request Bansi to call up Prakash so as to proceed with the marriage proposal.Bharti hands debu the money for the electricity bill but Gaushala takes it from Debu and explains her deed behind the act. Mridang on Gaushala's insistence, takes Bansi's sign on a paper insisting a new application for power connection .There is preparation in the house for a guest, Mridang and Gaushala are shocked to see Prakash before them.
Prakash is amazed to see the huge haveli but all the more to see, Bharti. As bansi says that they have arranged for the dowry, Prakash states that he is willing to marry their daughter. Mridang and gaushala get the shock of their life. Bansi wishes to see prakash's parents, prakash manages the situation and ascertains them that it shall be arranged soon. Mridang and gaushala physically assault Prakash for not keeping up to his words and remind him again that this marriage should not happen. Prakash assures them that he shall do as the two tell him to. Bharti is astonished to find some cash missing from her cupboard.
Murli hands back some cash back to Rupesh, Rupesh unwilling takes it on Murli's insistence. Bharti in hesitation tells Murli about the missing cash, Murli calms her stating it was he ,who had taken the cash. Prakash along with his parents sounds unwilling for the marriage as now there seems to be a gap of status between the two families. After Bansi assures that they are the same normal people , Prakash and his parents approve of the marriage. Mridang and gaushala again vent their anger on Prakash for plotting against them along with his fake parents now, but this time Prakash gives them back, stating that if he opens up his mouth, it shall be the husband and wife; suffering the most.
Prakash reminds Mridang and Gaushala that now it is for the good of all that the marriage plans proceed. Things settled, the two families decide to schedule the date of marriage but Gaushala intervenes and puts in a thought of letting the two know each other better before scheduling a adate. After bharti supports gaushala, the family decides to give some more time before the nuptials are tied. Veena approves Prakash as her life partner. the family is very happy with the developments and credits the effort to mridang. Rupesh restarts his sweets business and lets bharti along with all know that it was only possible because of Murli- who provided the cash to restart. Neelam consoles Bharti and advices her to give in a little more time and effort to their marriage. Mridang understates his displeasure for opportunities to murli. Bansi clearly states that the right intentions shall prevail the good. In her attempt to fringe the gap in their relationship, Bharti tries high heels.
After bharti states her reason for trying out the high heels murli explains her that one should not bother about what one does not have, His words give her strength. Bharti thanks him for his support to her father. Veena sneakily moves out to meet prakash. The pandit brought by Mridang announces that Veena is a mangli and advices the family to wait for at least three months for the marriage. The fake parents of Prakash describe the pandit as fake and explain the lal family that their pandit has consulted both the kundlis and the two work out a good match, so there is no hindrance in the marriage. In the spur of moment he arranges the marriage next week. But the dowry demand of Rs.10 lac hits as a lightning on the lal family.
At the petha factory, Rupesh and Murli figure out their sales plan, dhara too takes up responsibilities at the factory along with bhushan. Murli gets to know about the dowry demand of rs.10 lac from the fake parents. Bharti states her concern for the sudden increase in the demand of dowry. gaushala grasps the opportunity and tries to put in the head of the family members that prakash is a greedy man and they should right away put a stop to this proceedings. Bharti shares her concern for Prakash with Murli but he pacifies her dilemma stating that he firmly believes that Prakash is a good man.
Gaushala chances her only opportunity in Veena and so tries to bring the true prakash before her. She describes him as a greedy and multi faced man but the magic of Prakash acts as a barrier to the communication. Prakash along with his fake parents visits the lal family and apologizes for the increased dowry demand and announces that this marriage shall be without dowry. But ,his sudden demand of having the engagement done the same day rings an alarm in Bharti's head, she requests the lal family a consideration before committing anything to prakash and his parents but the family after consultation with each other, agree on the demand of engagement; the same day.
After the engagement, Prakash seeks to have a decision on the tilak and then after shaadi dates. Both the families take a mutual decision of having the tilak and the marriage the same day. Bharti again senses something awkward with all the proceedings, she intervenes and drops the thought of having some ceremonies at Prakash's house. Prakash excuses himself with his inability to provide good hospitality as his house was under renovation. The families decide to have all the ceremonies in the haveli. The fake parents of Prakash remind him of their share and also that his failure to do so will not stop them spilling the beans before the lal family. Mridang in all his anger venoms out at Guashala that they are losing this battle with Prakash, but Gaushala pacifies him stating that the opportunity to hit is just a few blocks away. Wait and watch !
