@Shalini/Tanisha: I share your wariness regarding where this is heading...it does seem likely that Nikumb will be the one humbled and forced to admit that he was apparently wrong in not sucking it up and accepting the "happy ending" formula...but anyways until it happens, I'll hold out on some hope.
Re: romance track...well it could be possible that Nikumb is setting up a new play and the lines could be for that...anyways let's see what the coming weeks bring...
The poem is definitely lovely though...Shalini, YOUR Azam is quite a talented guy :P...lol
