Disillusionment and fallout

So Yamini finally did it...I didn't know she had such script-writing talent to write a whole scene by herself...lol and well her amateurishness shows in the fact that she was faltering with the language...aap became tum and it seemed more like YAMINI talking than Shakuntala😆...Poor Nikumb was just left frozen on the stage and could do nothing but watch Yamini take over and play out the scene to her heart's content and finishing off with a flourish with a hug also😆...and ofcourse the happy ending and romance craving audience burst into applause.

Well this has turned out worse than I imagined...Nikumb not only feels betrayed, he feels disillusioned again...Yamini underestimated the extent of anger and betrayal Nikumb would feel...he had all but a murderous look in his eyes as the curtains fell...and just about managed to hold onto his composure enough to cover the mike😆...Yamini has successfully erased all of the trust Nikumb had developed in her...he's back to square one and feels she PLAYED him to steal the limelight of the show...

Yamini has turned out to be remarkably stupid in this whole thing...she still believes she had to take this step to stop Nikumb from making a mistake😕😆...oh yes, it's a mistake if all endings aren't lovey dovey and happy...right, Yamini *rolls eyes*...I didn't feel any sympathy for her as she vented to Daddo...somebody needs to knock some sense into her...

Nikumb is cursing himself for ever having managed to trust someone again...bechara.

The ending scene was the best...after having walked out for all practical purposes, Nikumb suddenly returns to the stage to mock THE Yamini Singh, credit her with the whole play and its success and to hand her the trophy...the disillusionment, the pain in his eyes as he did this even as there was a mocking smile on his face...very good acting from Abhishek.

Precap seems all the worse for Nikumb as now he will be accused of being jealous of Yamini too by some random reporters...

Yamini is unable to see how she pretty much pulled the rug from beneath Nikumb's feet and the way she put her stamp over the ending, you cannot blame Nikumb for the level of anger and disillusionment he feels.

I just watched it and *head desk*...ughhh!! Why are the female leads always 'Miss Know It Alls'?!! Yamini just got on my merves like mad- she doesnt understand Nikumb AT ALL kya?? She was telling her Daddu that she knew that Nikumb would be gussa but though that audience ka reaction dekh kar he would 'mellow down'?? Really?? Thats what she has understood of Nikumb so far? I know that artists do create for the audience but most of it is for their inner soul! I think she's never created anything for her soul as such till now and always catered to what she presumed the audience wants- so thats why the disconnect?? The whole convo with daddu just made me mad- 'hum unko galti karne se rok rahe the' 'voh humme samajhte nahi hain'- GOSH!
See- this made me go back to my whining and cribbing mode! NOW I think I am ready for the Baawre ride😆

How will she get inside her thick skull about what has really hurt Nikumb here?

For Nikumb - this went beyond just the play- its that elusive trust that he had placed in her combined with whatever he had started feeling for her. The betrayal is much bigger than just the changing of the end and its got forth all the cynicism inside him ten folds. Nikumb ji 'Khoobsoorat STARS kisi ke nahi hote' - aap bhi seekh lo yeh.

It is defenitely going to get worse than this during the press conference and if Raghu gets his words in somehow during that- and Yamini remaining her quite self as usual- tab toh ho gaya!

😆...Shalini ji, KABHI toh RR hangover se niklo😆...waise bhi it was hardly an original line...Dutta se copy kiya tha un logon ne😆

Yes, you've nailed it...this betrayal is bigger than just the play issue...trust was very hard to come by for Nikumb but he placed it in Yamini and that combined with burgeoning feelings as you said...so after all that, the WAY Yamini chose to betray his trust has to make him lose it.

LOL well despite her dumbness I wouldn't yet place Yamini in the typical know-it-all female lead category...I'm still giving her benefit of doubt despite feeling annoyed with her right now...cuz I expect better from these writers than falling prey to typical female lead cliches...let's see if they prove me wrong in the coming days😆

I would like to see Yamini realizing her mistake in the coming days and not just harping on about how she stopped Nikumb from making a mistake🥱🥱...she is at fault here...plain and simple...when Nikumb can put aside his ego and apologize for his mistakes, so should she...she owes him right now...and beyond that, Yamini still has to REALLY understand Nikumb if she thinks an audience's applause would have made Nikumb happy enough.

When has he ever worked for audience applause? He's not like her who sings mass market appeal songs and gives the audience whatever they want...he wanted to see HIS vision come alive and whether he got accolades or brickbats for that, it would all have been on him...he would take those with dignity...right now, Yamini has robbed him of both his trust in her as well as his self-respect by earning him this kind of second-hand applause for what wasn't even his vision to begin with. Amazing how Yamini doesn't realize how much his creative vision mattered to him.

my Gawd Anu, the ending Yamini drew was such a pathetic display of amateur boisterousness and hyper emotion... itz like a snap of finger and all grace of the drama, elegance of language and subtlety in the demeanor gone and the show became a scene from B grade hindi movie---loud,melodramatic, overtly garrulous and utterly meaningless...no wonder nikumbh stood frozen in disbelief and shattered, anyone who will see his magnum opus crumbling into a sloppy romance will do likewise or have reacted even worse. Nikumbh had enough senses to cover the microphone though. and I dont realise why the audiences had such low tastes that they didnt appreciate nikumbh's refined version and applauded yamini's substandard improvisation. I would have been stupefied, if I saw such an abnormally below standard ending of throughout remarkable drama. and what more surprised me that yamini had no remorse even after wrecking havoc nikumbh's life and career. is she really that shallow? even after seeing nikumbh's reaction she went on thinking that whatever she did was good and necessary for his success? has she really no sense of what she has done ?? Lord ! looks like i will never be able to forgive her, i will not e surprised if nikumbh does the same.

Anuji- "chap chuka hai mere dimaag par ab voh dialogue"-hmm.. ab yeh dialogue kahan se seekha tha maine🤔 Yaad aaya- Your most favoritest-IPK 😉 Vaise RR is providing the most comical value in my life nowadays- one blink- one baby born! Scared to blink again!

@ Bold- exactly! When has Nikumb ever bothered for the audience applause? He is totally the kinds- as you say- who will receive applause AS WELL AS the brickbats with equal aplomb- what matters to him at the end of the day is the creative satisfaction. He puts his heart and soul and all his inner self in the stories he writes and its never being about the market value of thenm at all. I thought Yamini understood that a wee bit- but apparently she doesn't- she really thought that Nikumb would huff and puff- be angry for a little while and let it go and accept it wholeheartedly?? I am dissapointed in her and I had hoped that Daddu would give her a piece of mind also about it- but she was also sort of being encouraging that she did the right thing in changing the final scene😔 Yamini is a singer- but thats also not her inner calling as I perceive- its something she has talent for and what her father has made her. Only when she identifies with her inner calling will she understand where Nikumb is coming from a little.

But first- can my Azam smile again in the next episode and then spread some of his magic on Nikumb?

It was laughable indeed, Shreya...I was facepalming the entire time Yamini was enacting that scene...and not just cuz I felt bad for Nikumb but sorry to say her ending was terrible amateurish and cliched...amateurish boisterousness indeed...Yamini channeled her newfound confidence in the worst possible way.

She completely fails to realize how she has FAILED Nikumb's VISION...and yes I'm also taken aback by how obtuse she has been about this whole thing...this incident has proven that she doesn't really know Nikumb much at all and had built up an IDEA of him in her head rather than truly understanding him...especially as an artist.

Scared to blink again! Yaar kabhi toh mujhe IPK se chhutkaara do...do you want me to say What the? now? Funny how IPK fans think that duniya mein koi What the kehta hi nahin tha before their mahaan hero😆...and the fact that you are STILL watching RR...main kya bolun *shakes head hopelessly* I shall only now watch if that leap happens and they reboot Rudra's character...otherwise not interested.

Only when she identifies with her inner calling will she understand where Nikumb is coming from a little. Good point...maybe that is where the writers are headed...actually before this I thought that Yamini had found her calling in acting/theater given how enthusiastically she took to playing this role but maybe there's more to it...she is yet to discover true creative enlightenment/creative satisfaction...she is still unable to look beyond market appeal...a lesson that has been drilled into her head by her father constantly so she doesn't know any other way...sad that she applied that onto Nikumb's vision thinking she was doing him a favor by helping him get mass popularity😕

Actually today watching the gusto with which Yamini jumped into the ending, I almost felt like she was trying to compete with Nikumb as a writer😆...sorry but her writing was really lame in the last scene.

But first- can my Azam smile again in the next episode and then spread some of his magic on Nikumb? LOL@ your Azam...haha I'm sure he'll smile again soon enough and bring around Nikumb...He's the only true friend Nikumb has...glad that Nikumb still has a support system in Azam after Yamini has let him down so badly.

But I don't think there will be any smiling for a few epis atleast...Nikumb seems totally morose and depressed in the precap like he's just given up on everything.

lol shalini !! khoobsoorat stars kisiki nehi hote ?? naa apni baap ke naa apne audience ki naa apni director saab ki !! wah wah kya line hai😆. lagta hai rr ki bhoot peecha nehi chodega yaar !
and u know what makes me more angry is yamini's inability to understand why nikumbh is so hurt and angry with her. she has actually spoilt his dream project, made it her own wish-fulfilment fairytale romance a mockery to his vision and sensibility and still she dares to crib to her daddo that nikumbh is unnecessarily angry, that she has actually made his ending audience friendly.😡She deserves a rude shock to wake up from the trance instead of complaining like the very typical miss perfect-knows everything-always complains about the hero-tries to fix everything even if her help is very much unwanted- female lead.
