Vaise- I am waiting for the day when THIS Khoobsurat STAR- 'Apne baap ki nahi hogi' especially!! 'Naa apne audience ki' will follow automatically!

Anu and Shreya- I beseech you- you HAVE TO- Just HAVE to watch the RR episode today- the first 15 min at least- such comical relief- gawd- see it for the artistic heights they have reached - pliss!! Anu que for you to say- What the?😛

Anu- I dont think Yamini actually has an artist's soul- I think she wants to be a 'NORMAL' girl inherently- college jaa ke padhne waali- doing gupshup with her friends- thats what i get from what I have seen in some episodes- I havent seen all the past ones- I may be wrong here! Yes- she took to acting but i think it was more the challenge and the tasks, the apne umar ke logon ka saath, friends and most importantly Nikumb and wanting to be something- to see that acknowledgement in his eyes- being HIS Shakuntala! Sad that she was the one instrumental in butchering HIS Shakuntala at the end!

Being an actor again might be something that her father would now push her into even if she doesnt want or clamor for the arc lights as such. Nikumb also is clouded by his past- his cynicism right now. Maybe once that cloud lifts a little- he might acknowledge that Yamini- the dabbu ladki he met in the begginning is the real her- and not the manipulative star as he now perceives her in anger at the moment and she really did what she did out of sheer 'foolish bravado' rather than some sinister stunt that she had pre-planned. MY Azam has a big role to play there- to get the both of them to see where they are coming from!

Matlab meri imagination se bhi bakwaas acting...aakhein phaad phaad ke dekhna but the maniacal laughter takes the cake...W*F was that about?!😆...BEST though were two moments in particular...1) the KALASH bomb Rudra threw at this guy...and 2) Dilsher announcing to everyone that the bullet hit the wall, not Paro...these ppl have crossed all previous records of dumbness...lol...

Sad that she was the one instrumental in butchering HIS Shakuntala at the end! I do agree in many ways...she doesn't really have an artist's soul...yes she craves normalcy more than anything else...she wants to be a normal young girl just hanging out with friends and enjoying herself...they haven't shown much in way of her ever having any JOY in her singing...but when Nikumb set out to make her his Shakuntala, somewhere I felt they were building up to something vis a vis Yamini's personality development, her discovering some hidden artistic talent inside her...now I'm not so sure.

LOL@ your MY Azam...haha yeah Nikumb needs some time to get out of this haze he's currently in and he can't be blamed for thinking the worst of Yamini given how she set the situation up...and no doubt Raghu will take advantage of this and widen the rift b/w NY...Let's see what Azam does.

Anu- I DONT TOLERATE Shantanu I CANT! I just saw today's episode but havent seen much - or if at all-in 2 min flat! BUt you will still find people on the forum praising his hysterical 'acting' today I toh guffawed and guffawed like mad- needed that to detox totally- really heights of dumbness!
Anyways- coming back to Baawre- thats what I am scared of- Raghu role now in widening the rift further and Yamini being a silent bystander - as usual! Raghu is so going to make the play all about Yamini and that is going to instigate Nikumb further into thinking the worse about Yamini and how she was being manipulative throughout- and how dumb he was to take things at face value.

Have they ever showed Raghu's background- like was he budding singer/artist and was pushed into normal humdrum things due to some majboori? Is he living vicariously through his daughter? Or its just the 'nasha' to be famous somehow? I suspect that if now the director from mumbai has some offer or something other comes up- he'll tell Yamini to just drop her singing like a hot potato and pursue acting full throttle- whether or not Yamini is capable of or wants to do it.

It was a nightmare, the episode. At least ten times worse than I had expected. We saw bits of it in the precap, but really? This is what Yamini came up with? Shakuntala going aap-tum on the stage? Shreya di pretty much described it for me. Loud, melodramatic and totally, totally meaningless. I could understand the audience's reaction. But the director was impressed? Kahe ka mahaan director hai bhai? Did he not sense any awkwardness on the stage? Nikumbh seemed totally frozen as he watched his dream project crumble to pieces in front of his eyes. As a viewer, I certainly would have sensed something odd.

They should really have aired more of the play. We never really got to understand the true essence of the play, as Nikumbh had envisioned it. But the ending was totally, like you said, lame.😕

Anyhow, I thought the tasks had some effect on her. I thought they had triggered something latent, something deep inside her. But as a viewer, I am NOW beginning to question that. I now wonder if they had any effect at all? We did see streaks of the Yamini that she keeps buried inside her, but it changed nothing. She wants to go back to being the same Yamini after the play and perhaps all that we saw all this time was just... I don't know. A dream, perhaps? We did see a confidence in her vis-a-vis Nikumbh. But I am now beginning to see that it only stemmed from knowing that Nikumbh made her do tasks, had placed a trust in her that gave her immense happiness. A confidence that really comes from just being friends with someone who used to intimidate you. It never stemmed from an inner understanding. Of herself. That she has every right to live with confidence and she never has to be afraid of anybody. That she can achieve anything and conquer every fear not because Nikumbh said so. But because she was. We saw streaks of a different Yamini but I don't think she ever saw them herself. Because had she understood, she would not have found the wrong outlet for this misplaced confidence. She would have seen that there is something beyond marketability of something, and she herself is not the kind of person who likes to perform for the masses (unlike what has been drilled into her mind), and then she would never have made the mistake of twisting something for the audience's benefit.

She never understood herself. And she never even understood Shakuntala. At least, not the Shakuntala of Nikumbh's version of the play. Had she understood, she would have known that after what should have been the ideal ending, Shakuntala would not have turned. The play would have ended there. I thought she had really begun to understand the character; so did Nikumbh. But apparently not.

It was clear from the way she reacted to Nikumbh's reaction. I honestly expected some realization, some remorse. Instead, she thinks that she did him some huge favor and Nikumbh just can't see it. I felt so annoyed when she told Azam that she had to do what was right. That she had to stop Nikumbh from making a mistake. What?! Did she ever understand anybody? How can she not see that she is the one at fault here? How can she still go around thinking that she did the right thing? And it is not that Nikumbh had not been clear with her. He had told her explicitly what his vision was. She knew how important the play was to him. She knew that it was the first time for him as an actor and she should have known that any major change could have had him fumbling or faltering, which could have ruined the entire act. It's another matter that Nikumbh is an actor good enough to not falter. She should have seen that it was Nikumbh who made so much effort tobring out Shakuntala in her and so he obviously had a much better understanding of the character. Most importantly, she broke his trust. She betrayed him at the worst moment possible. And she totally DISRESPECTED his view about the whole thing. I was willing to understand that Yamini got carried away with her lovey-dovey ideas, that it was maybe even like her to want a happy ending for herself and her new found confidence aided her, but I really expected a jolt-back-to-reality moment. I expected her to see exactly where she had gone wrong in her understanding of Nikumbh. I expected her to realize that she broke his trust, walked over his self-respect, and forced him into something he never wanted. Hasn't she always been forced to do what she did not enjoy? I wanted her to see all of these things. But instead, she wants somebody to go and tell Nikumbh that she had to prevent him from making a mistake!

She feels no remorse. Heck, I am not even sure whether she is GOING TO feel any remorse! At least, not about the right thing. Azam did not contest it when she said that she had to do what was right. Her Daddu encouraged her openly, telling her that she did a wonderful thing by changing the last scene. The audience and the thick-brained director obviously loved the way it turned out. I fear they may even make this about Nikumbh being a cynic. Like he is the one stuck in the past, he is the one misunderstanding Yamini here, he is the one who is all messed up because he does not believe in love or fairytale endings, he is the one who should change and move on and accept that love does not always go wrong... I honestly fear they are going to take this route. If that happens... I will be EXTREMELY disappointed! I fear they are going to make this about Nikumbh coming out of his shell, and the cynical mask he has adopted. When honestly, this SHOULD be about Yamini confronting and realizing a few things about Nikumbh and herself. This should be about genuine realization and acceptance of her mistake. This should be about Yamini's character development. And I hope they don't make the mistake of making it about anything else.

Regarding the precap- Yeh journalists! 😡😡
Paagal hote hai kya? No understanding, only rubbing it in!
And if Yamini maintains her silence through this, tab I won't blame Nikumbh for thinking that Yamini did indeed use him for her own benefit. I will probably even support the idea! 🥱

She will find her calling in music. I had always hoped she would. But not the kind of music that her father forces out of her. But music that makes you connect. That comes from the heart and touches another heart.
And I totally agree. Yamini only wanted the acknowledgement in Nikumbh's eyes. He was the the only person who encouraged her, challenged her and saw in her what nobody else could. That sparked the confidence in her. To be an artist, you first need to see YOURSELF. And that she has not achieved.

@ Bold- I really hope that is is going to play out in the next few days- really really do! This is what I would expect from what I have sensed so far - Yamini is going to get that jolt about what she has actually done- that understanding will dawn on her about how she has actually broken that elusive trust that Nikumb had placed in her. But if it goes the other way- as you have mentioned- that this is all for 'REDEEMING' Nikumb and make him realize that lurrve can be flowery too and Yamini has done this mahaan act so that he will finally move on from the shadows of his past- this is what any 'ideal' friend should have done- I am so done with this serial then! But I do expect much more depth from Neelesh Mishra.

Edit- As soon as I said this- I read an article on TC- Just copying and pasting some parts here:

In the show Abhishek plays a theatre artist who is currently working on one of his plays. And recently the cast was shooting for a scene where Abhishek had to utter some romantic lines. The professional actor that he is, he was working on his scenes and trying to improve it when Akhlaque came in the picture.

Shares a source, "Akhlaque shared one of his poems to Abhishek and they discussed it with their director. Liking his words which suited the scene, the director gave his nod and Abhishek mouthed Akhlaque's poem in the scene."

OK- why is Nikumb uttering 'ROMANTIC LINES' here? So soon? This makes me a little jittery!

I REALLY hope that Nikumbh uttering romantic lines has nothing to do with the current track. It just does not make sense!

But I am not getting any positive feeling here. Yamini's conversation with daddu made me really, really wary. It is almost like they wanted the audience to feel bad for Yamini. Like she is the one being wronged here!

Yeah, I expect a lot from Neelesh Misra too. So, that's just about my only hope.

Btw, could you share a link to the full article?

Hi Tanisha ( I gather thats your name- hope you dont mind?)- it's an article which was published YESTERDAY- thats why I am a little jittery. I dont know whether its the current track or they are generally talking about how they have used Akhlaque's poetry. Here is the link- hope they have already used this poem and its not for the coming track. The poem is damn good BTW!

Yeah. And you are Shalini, I guess? 😊

The poem is SO beautiful! I would never have known that Akhlaque is also a writer (and photographer)! They have a really talented cast and crew, this show!

They usually shoot about two weeks prior to the air date. So, hopefully they won't take a totally wrong route with this track and some of the issues would have been resolved by then.

No, Raghu has no artistic ambitions...he just has AMBITION, period...to rise above his modest means...so when he saw that he had a talented daughter being praised for her singing, he decided to invest in her talent fully to achieve the ambitions of making it big in life...in some ways, Yamini is a means to an end for him but he does love her in his own way...I think he wants the power that fame brings...the wealth.
