The players have taken positions..let the games begin.

On one side is empowered Nikumbh(thanks to Yamini and Azam). Hearing his father speak is a shot in the arm, he is determined to make the play a success - validation in the truest sense for him and as well as his dad. On the other side is Raghu who makes no outward effort to even hide his hate towards Nikumbh. There are no pretenses and war is out in the open.

In between all this is Yamini who cannot be slotted onto any side. The girl may not vociferously argue with her dad but she certainly does have a mind of her own, we have seen several evidences of it. She is the deciding factor in every game. While Raghu may have won round 1 regarding the poster, Nikumbh smartly orchestrated round 2 without Raghevendar even realizing that he had to be prepared😃. I am looking forward to more such confrontations. The first part of the episode with the conversation flowing between the 2 couples was well done.

Nice post :-)

Yep, the battle lines are indeed drawn...empowered would be the perfect description for Nikumb at this point...he's more determined than ever to make the play a success...the bit with him taking a picture in front of the poster and wanting to send it to his brother to show him that he too has made it was notable.

I also liked that Yamini tried to speak her mind today and didn't behave as mousy as she used to around Raghu...and the firmness with which she ultimately told Raghu she can't come home with him as she is needed for the play rehearsals was quite surprisingly impressive coming from Yamini...no wonder Nikumb had such a satisfied smile on his face.

The other notable part of the epi for me was the "tragic love stories v/s happy endings" debate...which was setting up the basis for the confrontation in tomorrow's epi...Nikumb does have a point regarding the love stories that become epic...I loved the dialogues they wrote for him in that scene.

Thank you. 😃 With you on all your observations.

His gusto in having his picture taken was a very nice touch. Yamini has come a long way.. there she was in her task to buy the ring - afraid and spoke back only after being backed into a corner. Today she did not think twice before responding to her father in front of the cast.

The "tragic love stories vs happy endings" such a debatable topic even in real world, it felt so right coming from Nikumbh - a person who lives and breathes weaving stories into play. On the whole a very nice episode from start to finish

Nice epi. I really liked background musics in this show. Last scene was awesome. Mini has changed. The power play was great. Battle lines have been declared but yamini is a bit clueless.

Great observation. The background music is way it should be - allowing the scene to shine when lines are being said at the same time coming to the forefront when no words are being exchanged.. they have achieved that perfect balance in this show . I have sampled quite a few shows where the BG music simply overpowers the scene and is a major distraction. The only odd moments for me are the scenes where Nikumbh thinks about his past.. there is an ominous, sad raaga that plays and the minute it comes, you know the tone to that scene.

Another notable point is the choice of perfect BW song.. on several occasions, be it Nikumbh watching Yamini rehearse her lines on the stage, their bike ride etc - very apt👍🏼

What i would like to see is ...did Nikumbh really look at the larger picture of the play being important and back out OR did the earlier convo of raghu stating "keep away from yams" play a part in the decision. Because he was willing to fight but yams ka ishaara cooled him off and he seemed to have changed gears.
But your are right savs, the confrontations are going to very meaty...needless to say yams is the (minced) meat 😊

And yay! ...you posted!

You came and you posted🤗

I think he was looking at the larger picture but the eye conversation with yams certainly did curb the conversation with Raghu at that point.

Lovely post, as always😃
I am loving the metamorphosis of Yams (thanks Howiekins for the perfect name😃)...she is truly blossoming into her own person...both the character and the actress. A delight to watch!
Subtlety is the usp of this show and Nikhumb's subtle, silent interaction with Yams while Raghuji was ranting and raving was👍🏼
