Today's episode was really cute...I feel like the characters are opening up now...

1) I love how Nikumb's newspaper column is used as a narrative device in the show as well...metaphorically portraying the state of mind of the characters or what they are going through...today's column was about a guy having scolded someone needlessly...and it clearly reflected Nikumb's guilt for having yelled so harshly at Yamini...and Yamini herself felt the parallel when she was reading it out to her Daddo.

2) I liked how Daddo made Yamini realize that people will keep on beating up on her unless she questions them back about WHY they are doing this to her.

3) Nikumb's guilt when Azam questions him through the medium of the column...and then him deciding to apologize to Yamini leading Azam to laugh in his face since it seems an apology doesn't come easy to Nikumb...and yes, Nikumb definitely seems to lose it around Yamini...his patience levels always falter and it seems like she always hits a wrong nerve unintentionally and he blows up.

4) The use of ACTING as a means of EXPRESSION...this was my fav. part of the episode...reflected very clearly in two specific scenes...first being the one where Yamini is by herself in her room and plays the part of both Nikumb as well as well as her grandmother in a conversation about why she was thrown out of the play...and that little bit of theatrical role playing helped her make up her mind about being determined to return to the play.

The second being Nikumb's attempt to apologize in the end...lol...after trying everything else, he probably finally thought he'd get the apology out while enacting a scene from the play but he couldn't even manage it then...kept fumbling it...shows just how difficult an apology comes to him...Role playing/acting helped clear Yamini's head...but for Nikumb it didn't work today...also that role playing showed how much a person as REPRESSED as Yamini is is finally finding an OUTLET for EXPRESSING herself...interestingly done.

5) Nikumb trying all kinds of random exercises to get the sorry out...including that charades bit...lol and he looked hilarious there trying to enact a sorry but always chickening out halfway...Azam laughing at his attempts was really funny too...

Interesting that he was instantly able to guess what Yamini enacted and Yamini couldn't get what he was trying to enact in a half-baked manner...does this mean Yamini is a better actress than him?😆 Or simply that he's able to understand her expressing herself better than she is.

6) The way Mr. Neelesh Misra narrated that bit about sorry/maafi in b/w Nikumb's attempts to apologize...LOVELY bit...I loved the dialogues in this bit too...about how "I am sorry" are probably the only other three words the hardest to say apart from 'I love you'...lol and then the way he describes the KIND of MAAFI that Nikumb was trying to express...innocent, from the heart,

"Woh I'm sorry jo dil ke kisi kamre se ek lambaaa safar teh karke aata hai
Woh wala sorry jo dil apni tooti phooti, ulti seedhi zubaan mein zaahir karta hai
Woh wala sorry jisko aakhein lafz deti hain
Woh jo maasoom hai...imaandaar hai"

So beautifully expressed👏

7) Looks like Nikumb-Yamini are gonna get stuck in riots? LOL is Nikumb gonna manage to apologize during this or will Yamini now have something to thank him for? 😆

I was VERY thankful that Yamini's father wasn't shown today...as a character, he really pulls the show down for me...

Hi Anu! Amazing Post. Another simple, beautiful show by Sudhir Sharma. Today was a light hearted episode and had me smiling throughout. :) The show and the characters are developing gradually. All the main as well as the side characters are interesting and are given importance. Makes for a better viewing.

The title song and BG is so soothing. And the concept of narrator is so refreshing!

Loved Nilesh Misras dialogue about three most difficult words 😆 It really seems to be difficult for nikumb. After so much fumbling also he was not able to utter those three words 😆 He could not do it even indirectly.lol .The scene where Yamini is play acting in front of the mirror was nicely done.

Re: Yaminis father in first episode I found his character similar to that of Anupam Kher in Tezaab. I dont know why 😆

Hey thanks, Spidie! Long time...we haven't spoken since...what was it? Oh yeah that Khelti hai zindagi show and the sad KABAADA they made of Sanjay-Shruti...so much potential wasted😆

Yes, there is no Sonal here but Sudhir Sharma still seems to have managed to pull together a good writing team...probably cuz of Neelesh Misra...he is the backbone of this show right now I feel...cuz even if the episode drags sometimes otherwise, I wait for the sutradhaar scenes of Mr. Misra...LOVE how he narrates stuff...for example, yesterday's traffic jam scene cuz of the protests and the way he connected all the characters through it.

It really helps that the show is shot at AUTHENTIC locations in Lucknow it seems...wonder if that will continue for a while or they will suddenly totally switch to sets...I hope not...the authentic outdoors make it feel like Lucknow is as much a character as the other people in the show and really gives things a nice flavor.

Today was the first time I saw potential in Yamini...she did really well in that scene when she enacted Nikumb and then her Daddo in front of the mirror...maybe she will improve with the character opening up later on...

Yeah the music is LOVELY...I especially loved how it was used in the opening scene with Yamini thinking about Nikumb firing her and then later on the way it's played every time Nikumb and Yamini interact...like the scene when he sees her rehearsing her lines or tries to apologize to her😆

So far there is a simplicity and natural-ness in their interactions...I wonder though how long it wil be before the dupatta, trip-catch cliches descend😆

I don't remember Anupam Kher's character from Tezaab...lol so he was a pushy/ambitious father I'm presuming?

But seriously I really don't like this character in the show...and they give him WAY too much footage in most epis.

Yeah quiet a long time since KHZAM.What a mess they made. 😆

Sudhir Sharma seems to take a lot of interest in his story, characters and music . The simplicity and genuiness touches a chord. Word about how lucknow feels like a character and an integral part of the story. They have managed to capture the essence of the city and that to me is quiet commendable. I loved that terrace scene in yesterdays episode with nikumb and his uncle . The backdrop was captured beautifully.
They have a great potential of using the daily column by Nikumb and the narration by Nilesh Misra in so many different ways.
It will be interesting to see the clash of ideologies between Yamini and Nikumb. As he said ' ussey bada goroor hai apne hunar ka aur kyo na ho' . Something like that.

I hope there is no dupatta- eye stare cliche romance. Lol.

Anupam khers role was quiet creepy and he was just interested in the money Yaminis father is nothing like that. Its just that the first scene was wierd so I thought his character was like that of Anupam Kher.

beautiful post dear u explained it so so well... my most favourite scene is incomplete saga of Sorry... ohhh Gosh Abhishek was too too good in that scene today actually Nikumbh was being himself no faced as angry young man or proudy Director but innocent small child who wanted to say sorry but just couldn't it just another shade of character.. he was looking adorable.. cherry on cake was Nilesh ji's narration ... it just make show more beautiful ... the saying beauty lies with simplicity is perfectly suit for this show.. Luckow flavour make this show more poetic... and Bavare ohh it was beautiful and Yamini also narrate that beautifull interpreting her story with column.. very thoughtful on the part of writes they r doing fatabulous job after long time there is serial which had amazing writer...and BG just make that even more pleasant... Yamini scene in front of mirror was amazing her character is developing along with actress is improving she was too good in that scene... i think she had potential just need some time... all in all episode was worth watching ...opps forgot to add ..there is cute parallel love story too Ajam n Shahin.. they look adorable..

Lovely post!
The Narrative style of this show is so refreshing... it is almost like you are watching a play...
Yes the idea of the newspaper column and both yamini and nikumbh relating to it about their own situation was interesting..

But the best part is always neelesh mishra's pov , the way it is placed in the episode is praiseworthy...
precap looks promising... 😊

It was a very good episode...sweet
abhishek showed his range in the scenes as an actor.
vineeeta as yamini was quite impressive in the mirror scene.
akhlaque is damn good as azam in all his scenes with nikumbh and shaheen.
I hope they develop azam and shaheen's love story more.
and uff...neelesh misra and his voice...just adds the tadka.

LOL yes Mr. Sharma has an eye for these things so I do appreciate that...but seeing his track record otherwise, I'm wary too...all the cliches and ruination of the show is inevitable as well😆

Anyways jab tak achha hai, dekhenge😊

@bold: Yes, the clash of ideologies REALLY interests me too cuz I find that to be a very RELEVANT theme we see in today's times with aesthetic arts not being appreciated in the times of crass marketing.

I also like how Nikumb's pride is shown...he has a chip on his shoulder regarding this...he takes pride in his work and is quick to react or get defensive if he feels his work is being slighted..."Kisi ke FAVOR se nahin chalti yeh theater company" as he said in the previous epi...nicely written.

Thank you! :-)

LOL yes the fumbling attempts to say sorry were very cute...Abhishek is playing Nikumb quite well...and even Vinita seems to be improving as the character opens up.

"Simplicity mein hi sundarta hai"...I couldn't help but be reminded of NBT and Mohan Bhatnagar's famous gyaan😆

Thanks! Yes, the narrative style...I love the freshness it brings to the show compared to the typical daily soap...yeah it's like watching a play in a theater...plus all the elements they've woven in about theater workshops is also nice and something I haven't seen explored in depth in a TV show before.

Neelesh Misra is just a brilliant storyteller...and I love how he muses about the characters as his creations...the way he holds the audience as he talks about the characters and how they are moving forward in the story...and in b/w he weaves in a life lesson, some poignant thing to think about in general also...👏
