How people could get boon or curse anyone so easily in Treta Yuga and Dvapara Yuga? 🤔 ( eg Jayadrath Shiva boon and death boon from father , Draupadi tried to curse after disrobing scene , Gandhari curse to Lord Krishna , etc )

In the Satya Yuga everyone was pious and hence could meet and greet Gods as they wished. This quality deteriorated as the Yugas came close to Kali.

In Treta Yug people couldn't always see the Gods but the Gods often interacted with the humans (Dasharatha's fighting in the Deva-Asur battle).

In Dwapar, it became more difficult but it wasn't impossible to interact with Gods. Only VERY pious people could meet/greet them.

All the people gave/got boons/curse were pretty much in the heat of things and all of them had at least one divine connection and/or terribly strict tapasya routines.

In Kali yuga, it is said that none of the Vedic methods (yagya, Vedas) would bring one close to God. The only way to reach God in this yuga is bhakthi maarga + naama-sankeerthana.

Why Lord Krishna allowed Abhimanyu to die in war?

Divine soln: He was Chandra's kid and Chandra wanted him back.

Non-divine: There was one God-forsaken war going on and everyone was on their own.

Though, if I remember correctly, Krishna did try to persuade Arjun to not follow the Samsaptaks but Arjun was bent on being the ideal Kshatriya then only.

Why Arjun or Lord Krishna or anyone not teach Abhimanyu about Chakravuyh exit before war started? 🤔 How can a warrior fight war w/o complete knowledge of all kinds of war strategies?

It was one of the most advanced techniques. I guess they thought since Drona was the only one on that side who knew that (and he was mentally on their side only) so he probably won't do that and even if he did Arjun would take care of that.

And I don't think Abhi's education was complete. Subhy's sleeping story is a folklore, it's just like probably Pradyumna didn't get around to teaching him by then (Krishna wasn't doing the day in and day out teaching, and Arjun literally met him 2 months before the war)

Arjun - Subhadra was a forced Abduction of a female or a love story or a lust? 🤔

Pure abduction. The love story is generated later so as to absolve Krishna of that one shady business.

In SBhagavatham however it's mentioned ke both were attracted to one another and Krishna had nothing to do with the abduction.

I don't think this is true for Drona. Bheeshm definitely wanted Yudhishtir to win, but Drona if you ask me, showed no such signs excluding the words

Drona was a proper employee who would support his paymaster.

My personal thinking is that he has been so much glorified only because Pandavas loved him

That was my interpretation of what the Ps would've thought. 😊

Also I think there was a part where Drona refuses to kill Yudi but promises he would bring Yudi in as a prisoner of war (the day of his fall), did I read that right?

Bhishma's fall is my most favourite part of Kurukshetra. The two songs are epic. 💔❤️

Here's an interesting fact. Mukesh Khanna took Bhishma's bed of arrows with him after the shooting ended. It serves as a memorabilia.

Maa Ganga ashish de, aa kar sut ke paas

Aaj gira ho bhoomi par, jyon koi aakash, jyon koi aakash.

I think Pandit Narendra Sharma wrote these lyrics. He literally summed it up in two lines and followed it with the longer song. Salutations to him.

Shantanu ki aatma ka jikr huya hai kya in any mb books ya its figment of imagination by brc

I don't like bhishm but his death brought tears to my eyes

Next two epis will be very tearful seeing killing of young and most brave abhi

Brc portrayed ashwtathma right i guess

Bachpan mai i hated ashv the most as killing of children inside tent while sleeping after war was over was very unethical thing

I couldn't watch it. That's so emotional. I skipped both the episodes of today. Just can't see the fall of Bheeshm
