SHARPENING GIFS TUTORIAL

So ladies the wait is over
I hope what you all find is worth the wait
so fingers crossed!!!
I don't have much to credit myself whatever
techniques I have used are mostly inspired
by tumblr, I just play with them as I like
and to obtain the gifs per my standard!!!!

Everyone knows how to create
a basic gif so I will not give the details
for that

starting with this:
(Using PS CS 5)
1.Convert your gif into timeline animation
by clicking the highlighted button.

2.This is what you get after turning it into smart filters
(that's what we call them I believe, forgive me for my clumsiness😆)
the size as you can see in the snapshot is 275 by 185 pxs.

3.This is what you get after cropping, keep it too 100% resolution as you
can see it in this snap-shot

you can place it in the way you want by moving it left, right, up and down
the way you want it.

And this is how it is going to look:

Ok now!!! basics are done now comes
the sharpening part.

4.See the above gif, goto filters, sharpen and goto smart sharpen
and use these settings:

Something about it:for best results these settings are
perfect, for me they are, but if you want your gifs to look
softer rather than sharp then you can change these
settings, like you can reduce the amount to 400 or even 300
but don't change the blur radius and keep it 0.4.

5.After you smart sharpen the gif, duplicate the layer:

6.Now goto filters, then blur and then gaussian blur
these are my settings:

No suggestions for that ladies, blur proportion is
totally your choice, it can be less then 1.5 or more too.

7.Now time to use blending mode.
I have divided my gif tutorial by blending modes,
from here, these are results you achieve
when your blending mode is normal and opacity is
40%, as you can see:

8.Before you add your psd, sharpen your
gif twice, just use the sharpen filter and now add your psd, you can see the name of
psd, I used a graphic psd and the name is
winterowl(twilight movie psd)
it will look like this:

9.It looked a little pinky too me, so I
add a new adjustment layer for color balance, those
were my settings and that's how it looked like:

and finally this

SCREEN BLENDING MODE

10.With screen blending mode it's gonna look
like this, the blending is upto 40% same
as the normal one but you can change it
depends how brighter you want it to look
and same goes for normal mode, sharpen it
twice like you did in the normal mode.

11.After adding the psd it will look like this

hmmm I know too bright but it can be fixed, all you have
to do is to add a new adjustment layer of levels, these
were my settings that goes perfect with the psd.
This is the final result, sorry forgot to save the gif for
this.

Allright folks this is done for colored gifs!!

SHARPENING TUTORIAL FOR
black&white gifs

1.Everything will remain the same, except for two;
I prefer using normal blending mode when I am adding
a black&white psd for gifs
.The thing that needs to be
changed is the percentage of opacity which should be
more than you are adding a colorful gif that is upto 60%-70%
opacity as you can see here:

this technique I also learn through tumblr tutorials.

2.It's really dark, so I added a new adjustment layer
of curves and these were my settings

and finally this:

Please forgive my mistakes, this was the best I could do
and since the requests were so sincere how could one deny???😳😳
Please scrap me if you are confused about anything and don't forget
to share your tips too, who knows, I might even get better than this😉😆

Thankyou for always encouraging me.

Regards!!!!
