Beautiful Sig dear😃
👏
Today we will learn how to make the following sig:
This will be very different from what we have done in the past!
Once again, Check your settings if this is the first time you are joining me- I described the Settings needed for PowerPoint on page 5, and for Paintbrush on page 7.
Picture Selection is KEY for this SIG! If you don't have the right sized pics and right style, it might not work. So- go ahead and select your pics! For the people you will have on the side- you can have 2 or 4. Make sure those pics are the same size or just resize them on PowerPoint. Make certain that the people, not necessarily the whole pic, are near the same size. Now select the two pics that you will use in the background. These should be about the same size but of course- you can resize them if they are not. Remember- Big and Clear Pics are best!!!
1- First we will do the Background! I will refer to this as a layered background. Select one of your background pictures and place it on a blank slide on PowerPoint. Make it as large as you desire.
2- Now, if you have the same toolbar settings as me, somewhere (usually near the bottom of the screen), you should see a tool bar that has an icon that says, "AutoShapes." This is like a drop down menu- so click on it. In the MENU that appears, choose BASIC SHAPES. If you do not see this option, try expanding the menu by clicking the tiny down arrows that will appear on the menu.
3- Once you have selected Basic Shapes- click on the shape that looks like a rectangle. Now, proceed to draw a box/rectangle over your first background picture. Make it the SAME SIZE and shape. Place it exactly over the 1st pic!!!
4- Right click over the box/rectangle once you have drawn it. From the menu that appears, choose FORMAT AUTOSHAPE. Now, on the screen that appear go to the COLORS AND LINES Tab. Then look at the section on LINES. Click on the drop down menu that is next to the word COLOR. Select NO LINE. Now look at the section labeled FILL. Open up the drop down next to the word COLOR. Select FILL EFFECTS, which should be near the bottom of the menu.
5- Click on the Tab that says PICTURE. Then click on the SELECT PICTURE button. Now choose the 2nd background picture and hit OK. You should be back to the first menu with the COLORS AND LINES Tab. Once again go to the FILL section and look at the horizontal bar next to the word TRANSPARENCY. Move the the square on the bar to the middle. Later on you can adjust this to the best percentage of transparency for your pictures.
6- Click on OK. If you did this correctly- you should see the two background pics! They should be layered! If you want to make the 2nd pic more transparent or less transparent, go and fix it now I usually keep it a 60% or 70%.
7- Here is the difficult part! We will work on the people on the sides now! In my case- Rani, Abhi, Preity, and SRK! Open up paintbrush/paint.
8- Copy and paste one of the side people's pic. So lets see I start with Preity- I will copy and paste her pic onto Paintbrush. To copy and paste it, simply right-click on the pic and choose Copy. Then on Paintbrush, go to EDIT at the top and then choose PASTE.
9- This is somewhat time consuming- color in the whole background around the person! Once again- make sure that the color you use to color the background in is not a color that appears on the person! So once again I chose Lime Green. I will color in the whole rest of the picture lime green- everything except for Preity. For small areas, color in using the tool that looks like a PAINT BRUSH. When you click on it, several options should appear- select any of them that you prefer.
TIP- To make it go faster in coloring the background in, you can draw boxes of color around the person that will cover big blocks of the pic! To do this, simply select the tool that is the shape of a square. Then 3 options should appear underneath it. Click on the option that has the solid colored rectangle with no line around it. Now make sure you have selected your background color- for me green- and begin drawing boxes over the background of the pic.
ANOTHER TIP- When you color right next to the person, you will notice that its difficult not to go over them and keep nice smooth lines. Thats why when you are ready to color right around the edges of the person, go to VIEW at the top of the screen. Click on it and then choose ZOOM, after that select LARGE SIZE. Everything should be blown up. Now you can do the fine coloring around the person.
10- After you have colored in the background, you have the choice to do the following- draw a white/silver line around the person to make them standout. To do this you will have to follow the previous tip and zoom in. Then just use the PAINT BRUSH tool with the option of the smallest brush and color in a fine line around the person using a white or silver color
This is what it should look like if you dont put the line around the person:
11- Once all coloring is done, we will copy and paste the picture back onto PowerPoint! Its important that we copy and paste, because if we save and insert it on powerpoint, we wont be able to get rid of the background easily. So, copy and paste it. To copy it, use the dotted line tool thats in the shape of a square and draw a box around the whole pic- all of the colored part as well! Then right click and choose COPY.
12- Back to PowerPoint- Paste the Pic. Now proceed to repeat steps 8, 9, 10, and 11 for all of your people pics. Don't worry- you will get faster as you go.
13- Now we must get rid of the background color on each person pic. So for me- I am getting rid of the lime green. So Click on one of the Pics- the Picture tool bar should appear. Now choose the tool that looks like a stick that is half yellow and half blue and is pointed to a black corner. Once you have clicked on it- click on the background color of the pic- so I would click on the green! Now it should disappear and you should be left with the person only!
14- Repeat step 13 for all of the people pics. Now place them along the sides of the background! Overlap them if you like or place them all side by side. If you want one pic to come up in front or behind another- simply Right click on it and select ORDER and then select the option of your choice.
15- Ok once all the pics are in place (its ok if some pics stick out in funny angles- we will fix this), save the whole thing!! Remember how I described doing this- by clicking down on one corner of the slide and dragging your arrow all the way until it forms a dotted line box that covers everything- then right click and hit save.
16- Now open up a blank slide and insert what you just saved. Crop off what you don't want. If you read my previous tutorials you know how to crop on PowerPoint. If not, PM me. Make it a nice rectangle shape with clean edges. Now we will add the border. Go to AUTOSHAPES again and select the rectangle once again. Draw a rectangle over your inserted Sig. It doesnt matter if its not the same size or shape of the Sig. Once you have drawn it- right click on it and choose FORMAT AUTOSHAPE. You should be familiar enough with this now and you can choose whether you want a line and how thick you want it and what color you want the rectangle to be. If you have trouble, PM me. Choose a color that compliments the colors in your sig. Once you have chosen your settings for the rectangle autoshape, hit ok. Now click on the autoshape and using the white dots, resize it so it fits perfectly on top of your sig. Now make it stick out just a little bit on every side. Once you have done this, right click on it and choose ORDER, then MOVE TO BACK. Your sig should appear with the autoshape rectangle in the background! You should only see the autoshape rectangle around the edges of the Sig so it froms a border.
17- Now lets add text over the Sig! This is really upto you- what size you want the text to be, what color, what font. To insert text, you have to first insert a textbox. To do this- go to INSERT at the top of the screen, click on it and then choose TEXTBOX. Now draw a text box where ever you want and type in whatever you want.
18- After you have placed your words and writing over your sig, you can add some glitter graphics from the site I gave you on the first tutorial on page 5. Feel free to add anything you want- have fun and be creative decorating your sig! I simply added some butterflies by the text
19- Save the whole thing once again. Then insert it on a blank side. Crop anything you dont like and resize it so its about 4 by 5 inches. Then save it again. Make sure that this time you save it as a JPEG or PNG and then upload it!
All Done!😃
Please PM with any questions, concerns, or problems.
Sorry if anything is confusing.
Thanks
Love Shikha😛
P.S. If you see the little rectangles along the edges of the Sig at the top of this post, I will explain how to do that later😊
