Dear all,

Thanks for all your views.

Akshata, I had sent you a PM on this. Hope you have seen it. Had some problem posting reply in the morning.

Very thoughtful posts by Victory and Vazz. I liked them a lot. They looked at the issue from a totally different corner and they were right. I never thought so deep when I posted the question. That came out as I was frustrated with Aastha's behaviour in previous episodes.

Anyways, had good time reading all your posts.

Have a nice day!

Kiran.

I think Archana despite kidnapping Sia raised her to be a fine, well mannered and respectful young woman and Simran spoilt Astha and she has turned out to be a spoit brat who needs to be whacked across her b..

Sia is more understanding, polite compared to Astha who was pampered and spoilt by Simran to compensate for her loss of Sia as a baby and also because Astha was an "orphan" according to her and she had to raise Neha and Abhi's baby with love and tender care which backfired.

See the difference when Astha and Sia both find out they are not from Archana & Simran. Sia acted more maturely, despite the hurt and pain.

guess Simran is a good mother, yes it depends on upbringing, but bear in mind the consequences under which Astha was thrown into Simran's lap and what happened afterwards. This explains the over protectiveness and the spoil brat Astha has become today. But Simran has given the right values to Astha and thats been prooved in the previous episodes when Astha would take "banga" on the street vendors for ilegally ocupying the side walk or with the professer who tried to molaste the student.

Very good points everyone !! Wonderful discussion !!

I can't think of anything that has already not been highlighted before.

IMO, both as mom have not been perfect, but from what it has been shown so far, Sia has been used to take control of situation from a very young age due to the unstable character of Archana. On the other hand, Astha always was over protected by Simran and Astha has been a little in awe of Simran, the reason for which she always wanted to be like her. Astha always took Simran for granted and Simran did little to shake Astha of that, barring one incident when Simran had been very let down by Astha's attempt to pass her exams thru cheating and showed it.

Innocentindian brought forth a valid point, that what Archana did to Sia, right from kidnapping her to trying to keep her from finding her real parents by faking suicide was pure evil, a manipulation of the worst sort. Besides, Archana's motive to do so was not to protect Sia getting hurt but rather save her own skin, while Simran's effort to hide the truth from Astha generated from an intention to save her from getting hurt....

Also Sia spent her life with her mom and nani while Astha was the object of the affection of so many people - Simran ,Shaguna ,Nanu , her Dada Dadi and her Mausi and Mausa (Rashmi and her husband)

yup so Archana is the better mom
