You said, he talks little bit of broken Kannada. The same is the case of my hubby. He knows a few words, which he keeps using where it is not needed at all. So can you give us few lines asto how your hubby speaks his broken Kannada? 😆

What do you get in mind as soon as the word "Friendship" comes in mind? Do you think a hubby is the best friend a girl can get? If yes, have you been lucky?

Hey, thank you for your recipes... I willsurely try them out.. Will surely tell you how it came out, whether my family liked itor not... 😳

These are few of my questions... Hope you are having a nice time here. I am sad that the end of your thread will mark a stagnation in this section... 😭

I will try to watch Chukkallo Chandrudu.. ( I am still trying to understand the meaning though ..) I do not know Siddarth.. but will watch him.

In your role of DBA, what kind of administration do you do?

Are you also involved with performance tuning?

What is your favourite part as a DBA and what is it that you do not like about it?

I see that you love Jayanagar 4th block. I love it too. As a kid I used to walk from 8th block to 4th block. My music teacher is also in 4th block. There used to be a Wearhouse near the Puttanna Kanagal theater ( it used to be called Poonam).

Is the super-bazaar still there near the vegetable market?

Nostalgic memories for me...

nice thread you're running here... 👏 Thank you, my pleasure. 😊

so much has been asked, i don't know what to ask...

how about this...tell us something you would like to have been asked but haven't been.. 😉 hmm....I thought some one would ask me my full name as just Kiran is not a very common name in South India. Well, my full name is Kiranmayi. It's a common name in Andhra.

it was v.interesting reading about you marrying someone you've known almost all your life....was there anyone in both your lives before you got together like this? Do tell if u r comfortable talking of it.... No. Neither of us did have some one before. If we didn't get married, then we both would have become "some ones" in our respective lives. 😊 That's why I said there is no suspence in our lives. It's crystal clear to both of us. 😆

have u been abroad? if so then where? I had been to Canton, Ohio in May 2004.

hmmm, if i can think of anything else then will certainly ask, but otherwise am enjoying your answers😛... Thank you. Hope you get some more questions for me. 😊

I really enjoyed reading all your answers...esp the one answer to Aksh's question on being happy... mm. 😊

My questions..

How far you believe in destiny? 100%, It doesn't mean that I will not try anything in life. I try my level best and leave the result to destinty.

do u believe in what ever happens, happens for good? Yeah. If I don't like whatever already happened. 😉
How far is your commute from office to home? 28Kms. 😭
How is your work life? I mean do u face the usual politics, impression managements..etc., etc., My work life has been satisfying so far. We do have lot of politics and chamchagiris here. People try to take over and boss around. I try to be assertive all the time. I don't believe in impressing the boss but at the same time, you need not be agressive with him. Remember, It takes two to tango 😊

Now to more questions....

Which are the places outside India you have visited? I had been to US in May 2004 from my company. Then I visited Columbus, Cleveland (for a lunch party) and some places in and around Canton. I was supposed to go to Canton this month again. My US counterpart is visiting Europe. So my program is postponed.

Which is the dream destination where you love to go? I love to go to London, Paris. (so that I can sing London dekha, Paris dekha..😉. ) I might go to Colmar, France next month, not yet confirmed. They are planning to convert my US trip as Europe trip as my counterpart is already there.

Where did you go for your honeymoon? BTM Layout, Bangalore 😆. We actually didn't go anywhere. I had to fly immediately after my marriage which was in April '04. By the time I was back, my husband was in North Karnataka tour. By the time we actually started setting up home, it was september. 😆. But that's okay as we knew enough of each other. 😆

What is your hubby's name? Phaneendran. (sounds like a Tamil name, huh?)

You said, he talks little bit of broken Kannada. The same is the case of my hubby. He knows a few words, which he keeps using where it is not needed at all. So can you give us few lines asto how your hubby speaks his broken Kannada? 😆 Oh..there are many. He doesnt know what is "Send" in Kannada. He said "namma HR manager ee file sendiduru" 😆😆.

Guys will be calling each other "Maga" in kannada na...so he says if I have to call a guy..I would call Maga. If I have to call a girl..would I say "Magalu"? 😆 He calls me like that some times.."Magalu..en madidde neenu?" 😆

He cannot differentiate between singler and plural. He was guiding some courrier delivery person to my house in Kannada .."Elli idira sir neenu?"😆. I was laughing at his Kannada, then he said "nammage Kannada gothide. Neevu baayi muchu".😆. I fell off my chair laughing...😆😆

Dou know to fluenlty talk Hindi? Yes. I love Hindi. I talk to my friends in Hindi only though our mother tongue is Telugu.

Do you read books? If yes, who is your favourite singer? I think you wanted to ask..who is my favourite writer? Anyways..I read books. I like Mills&Boon collection and Jane Austin.I have read two books from Nicholas Sparks recently, Message in the bottle and The Note Book. Both are very good. I read almost all the books if I like the preface.

Which game do you follow the most? Have you played any game? I follow cricket for two reasons.

1. For Anil Kumle and Rahul Dravid. I was so crazy about Anil Kumble that when he took 10 wickets against Pakistan, all my friends called me up and congratulated me. I had an album for him. I felt very bad when he got married. It sounds funny now. Though I'm in Bangalore for the past 6yrs, haven't got a chance to meet him. Saw Dravid once from far, when we were passing by his residence in Indiranagar, B'lore.

2. I will be forced to follow and watch for the sake of my husband.

I'm not a sports savy but play lot of indoor games like Chess, Carrom, Chinese Chakkar etc.

What do you get in mind as soon as the word "Friendship" comes in mind? My Best friend in KKD.

Do you think a hubby is the best friend a girl can get? Depends.

If yes, have you been lucky? There will be some things in life which look different with the kind of relationship you have with that person. It depends on the situation to decide if husbad can be a best friend or not. In my case, I'm lucky that he is my best friend 90%. The remaining 10% depends upon the situation. To answer your question in one word, yes, I have been lucky. 😊

Hey, thank you for your recipes... I willsurely try them out.. Will surely tell you how it came out, whether my family liked itor not... 😳 Good luck

These are few of my questions... Hope you are having a nice time here. Yes, I'm. Have to thank you for this. I am sad that the end of your thread will mark a stagnation in this section... 😭 me too 😭

Chukkallo chandrudu means Moon in between Stars (girls as per this movie). Chukka = Nakshatram.

In your role of DBA, what kind of administration do you do? I take care of everything related to Database. Creating DBs, logins, Stored procedures, Views, permissions and Backup/Restore activities.

Are you also involved with performance tuning? Yes. We have development servers here. Production servers are in Canton. So therez not much on Performance tuning.

What is your favourite part as a DBA and what is it that you do not like about it? Both are same. Backup/Restore activities. I get lot of work satisfaction if I'm successful in handling a problem. Same thing can demotivate me and make me think twice about my career. 😆

I see that you love Jayanagar 4th block. I love it too. As a kid I used to walk from 8th block to 4th block. My music teacher is also in 4th block. There used to be a Wearhouse near the Puttanna Kanagal theater ( it used to be called Poonam). Oh...Jayanagar is heaven. 😳. Have you tried chaat in CoolJoint?

Is the super-bazaar still there near the vegetable market? Yes, it is. And it is expanded more now. That's one of my fav shopping places in B'lore.

Nostalgic memories for me... Me too. We don't go to Jayanagar so often now as we moved far from there. Our house is close to Indiranagar. I miss Jayanagar. Had been there last weekend, as you said, became very nostalgic.
