Hi Kiran, A Happy Valentine's day to you and your hubby as well!
Thanks a lot!!!Why did you choose this user id:-)? I like dreams a lot. I remember most of them and try to analyze them also. I have some books on the same. I was reading a book called Dream analysis while registering in IF. So I just chose dreamz, wanted to add some personal touch to it. Hence our initials K and P(my husband). 😊
Does your hubby also speak Telugu? I mean is his mother tongue also Telugu? I know you both grew up in AP but wondered if his mother tongue was also Telugu? Yes, his mother tongue is also Telugu. We speak in Telugu at home. Sometimes he does try speaking in his broken Kannada. I like that. 😆
What are your work hours like? I work from 8AM to 4:30PM.
Hey Kiran...am back
thnx and wish u too "Happy Valentine's day"Thanks Rajini. Hope you had a blast! 😊
How many sibilings do you have? only one. Younger brother, he is in Texas now.
Nimmage Blore nalli fav spot yavudhu? Translation : What is your fav spot in Bangalore? (pls dont tell me ur work place) 😉 😆 Nanage Jayanagara tumba ista. Trans : I like Jayanagar a lot 4th block nalli shopping, walking in Koramangala 6th block, Pani puri in PAI Layout....tumba ide list (That's a big list). 😉Which is the best dish that u cook? Capsicum curry, tomato chutney, karela fry, veg.Biryani, onion sambar, pop corn😉, gobi manchurian, baby corn manchurian....
How do u spend weekends? I will be cleaning my house on Saturdays. Sundays will be busy with friends, cooking some special dish, going out....
Hi Kiran,
Here are my few questions.
What dress you like wearing most? I will be in chudidars most of the times often in sarees, jeans and casuals on Fridays. I like wearing jeans and a long cotton FabIndia top on that.Do you have a dress code at work? No. Thank God, we don't have.
What's ur fav colour? Light blue
Do you like shopping? Yes, we both love shopping.
Have you been to 'Forum'?I went there during my last visit. It's for sure no less than the big malls in US. Yes. It's crowded so much now a days that we stopped going there.😕 There are so many Forum likes in Bangalore now..Bangalore Central, Garuda mall, Globus etc..just to name a few. Garuda mall has been our fav mall of late. Therez a Damas show room opened recently opp to Garuda mall. You must visit this place when you visit B'lore next time. They have a variety of jewel collection. It's like a gold mall. 😉
Happy Valentines Day to you too. Hope you and your hubby had a good time. Thanks Vasanta, yes, we did have good time. 😊
I can understand your frustration about the traffic in B'lore. The city has grown real fast but not the infrastructure.. but I guess they are doing things like fly overs etc to meet the situation. They are doing it but at a very slow pace. Meanwhile, they had this government change and all..so the Palike works are on hold. Hope the new CM realizes it soon. Hopefully will get better. To me though my parents live in KKD, B'lore is my hometown.. it is the city that I grew up.
Which center did you do your GNIIT? Malleswaram
Where was your project? I did my project also in Malleswaram. Actually I got my first job before completing my project. So..I had to wrap it up some how for the final demo. I didn't care about it then because my career field is different. I joined a Tech support company. Later, got into System administration and now one step up, database administration. I miss programming and coding...😭
I used to teach in the Richmond Road NIIT... not sure if it still exists :) It still exists. We used to go Richmond road NIIT for our Placement interviews and consultations.I love Vishwanath movies too. I met him in 2000 July and he is such an un-assuming down to earth man. I had asked him why his movies start with 'S' and he was honest about his superstition. He was sitting right next to me and like the idiot that I am did not recognize him.. .only when somebody asked him something, did it dawn on me... 😕 You are so lucky.😳 I wish I get a chance to meet him. Have so many questions for him. 😊
I was not very impressed with Swarabhishekham. But it sure is better than seeing the other movies. Me neither. There was something missing. I don't remember the tunes also properly.
I liked Missamma (the new one) and also Anu ko kunda oka roju. I watch telugu movies after a lot of the others tell me it is good to watch. Many of my friends told that Anukokunda Oka roju is a good one. I didn't watch. My husband is a movie freak. So We watch good number of movies every month. Recently we watched Lakshmi(Venkatesh) and Chukkallo chandrudu. Lakshmi was average..I didn't like. Chukkallo chandrudu is good. It's that boys hero Siddarth, his baby. Story, Screeplay, he even sang one song. Good one. Try to watch if you get a CD.
Hi Kiran,
I know you through your posts....nice ones,I must say. Thanks Akshata. I'm glad that you took some time out for me.
Hemachandra is my favourite too,but tell me what is it you like about him? Did his belonging to AP influence your choice? No. Not at all. He wasn't my favourite since the begining. Nihira had been my favourite always. Eventually I started liking Hemu. After that there was an article on him in one of the local papers. Ofcourse...the regional affection is also there. But I like him as a singer than being an Hyderabadi. 😊
Have you come in contact with any Konkani speaking people in Bangalore? When I was doing my GNIIT course, there was a girl by name Akshata Shinoy. I forgot to ask in your MOW thread. Is Akshata very common name in Konkani community? I have this craze to learn few lines from whom ever I meet if I don't know their language. She taught me few like Chandi chelli, Tu kashi asa?,Maka konkani yana etc..I forgot most of them. Excuse me if they sound different. 🤔There is one family now in my apartments. They speak Kannada also. But we can clearly make out their Konkani flavoured Kannada. 😊
Now that Astitva is over are you following any serial seriously? Not seriously. But I watch/read updates of Sindoor and Saath Phere some times.
I love your hobby"Always be Happy".But what makes you happy?I will try to make things happy. For instance, my husband loves sports and movies. Though my interest is music and serials, I will try (hard) to enjoy sports and movies equally and make him part of my interests. Thus we avoid an argument over there. That makes me happy. 😃 I believe in Karma siddhantha. Do your work but don't expect the result always. There's no point in worrying about some things in life when they are destined to happen. When there's no worry, there will be happy...😊. Don't know whether it's convincing or not...but I believe this.
Do you like surprises?Yes. Very much. This week is full of surprises for me. First one is this MOW thread, second one is..a bunch of red roses (I love flowers) from my husband for the V.Day as he thinks buying flowers is a waste of money.
Please translate your replies in English where ever you write in a regional language so that we can all participate and infact learn a little, like Hemachandra taught us"Tappakundu".So sweet. 😃 A small correction, it's Tappakunda. 😊
Hey! No offence meant,ok? I do understand the thrill of meeting someone who can speak the language online.I got some PMs after my MOW in my mother tongue. 😆 I know that's thrilling to talk in your mother tongue. I did translate some of them from Kannada to English. Have you checked?😉
How did you celebrate Valentine's Day?I prepared babycorn manchurian and Veg.Biryani. Switched off the tube lights and switched on the dim lights and lighted candles just for a change. My husband got me so many red roses (as I told it's a surprise), had dinner, watched indian Idol. That's all. Nothing special but yet very special.
Best Wishes, Thank you. Best wishes to you too.
Akshata
Wow, Kiran, you seem to be a romantic person too... Hmm, loved your answers...
Now to my questions....
Yes, I have visited Forum in Bangalore... The last time , i came to Blore some months back, i actually saw 2 movies there, in PVR Cinema of Forum... The Forum is really nice. I am not a big fan of shopping, i do it only when necessary. My husband is worse than me, in shopping. He hates it... But i did lots of window shopping there, as we went to the forum a bit early for the movie... It was nice...
Have you seen any movies in PVR? If yes, name them...
If you do not mind, can u send me the recipe of Veg Biryani and Gobi Manchurion? Will you mind?
The next time i make it to Blore, can we meet? I remember you asked me this in my MOW thread, now it is my turn to ask 😆
What is it to marry a person whom you know all your life, from childhood? What are the pros and cons of this? Your thoughts on this please..
You said, his parents were a bit against your relationship. What kind of problems did you face? What were the methods you used to set this situation right?
Do you know to speak Tamil?
Where do you live in Blore? My father has a flat in Tippesandra, my brother lives there...
These are few of my questions, will be back though...
Wow, Kiran, you seem to be a romantic person too... Hmm, loved your answers...Thanks Sree. 😳
Forum is too good for window shopping. I too like that. Sometimes it's better to be window shoppers as places like Forum are very tempting. We try hard to control each other. 😆
Have you seen any movies in PVR? If yes, name them...No. I haven't seen any movies in PVR. There was a telugu movie which we wanted to go. But couldn't get tickets as it was unplanned. So ended up with eating in McDonald's. It was newly opened then.
If you do not mind, can u send me the recipe of Veg Biryani and Gobi Manchurion? Will you mind? Ofcourse not. I will certainely PM you. 😊
The next time i make it to Blore, can we meet? I remember you asked me this in my MOW thread, now it is my turn to ask 😆 Sure. I would love to meet you. Please let me know when you visit Bangalore next time.
What is it to marry a person whom you know all your life, from childhood? What are the pros and cons of this? Your thoughts on this please.. &nbs p; As I stated in one of my posts, though we were grown up together, I never dreamt that I would fall in love with him. He was like any other boy in the class. It all started in our graduation final year when I needed help with physics records. Since we know each other from childhood, we have so many common friends. We are in touch with most of them even today. We both are cancerians and become nostalgic whenever we discuss our school days. It is nice to remember things, laugh at them, looking at our school days photos together etc. I prepared an album with the greetings he had sent me as a friend, as a lover, as a fiancee, our wedding card, as a husband and our first anniversary cards and presented to him on his Birthday. He liked it a lot. Knowing each other since childhood really helped us to understand each other in a better way.
Coming to cons, there is nothing that he doesnt know about me. We cannot lie to each other that we were like this like that in childhood 😉. No suspense at all. 😆
You said, his parents were a bit against your relationship. What kind of problems did you face? What were the methods you used to set this situation right? His father didn't have any problem. His mother had some doubts like whether I would mingle with them or not? my parents would fulfil their customs or not? Would I be ready to take the responsibilities of elder daughter in law as I'm working? He told her that nobody could understand him better than me and I would definitely live up to her expectations. She agreed though she still had some doubts. She spoke to me for almost 2hrs after engagement lecturing me on their customs. I'm lucky that they are almost similar as mine as we also belong to the same sub-sect. Eventually I was successful to win her heart and now nobody has a problem. But I must say, I had to compromise on so many things and be submissive. I thought there was no harm in killing my ego for sometime. My patience paid and everything is cool and in place now. 😊
Do you know to speak Tamil? konjem konjem. Pesaki varadu.
I understand Tamil very well. I'm not comfortable in speaking..still try to talk to my neighbour's mom in Tamil. It's like..she understands English but cannot speak well. Same thing with Tamil for me. So I talk to her in English, she replies in Tamil and talks to me in Tamil, I reply in English. Kind of funny...😆. I bought a book "Learn Tamil in 30 days" as there are many Tamil families in our apartments. I will surely be proficient in Tamil one day and send u a PM in Tamil. 😉
Where do you live in Blore? My father has a flat in Tippesandra, my brother lives there... Good. My house is near by then. We also bought a flat here, very close by KR Puram Railway station. Next time when you come by Chennai express, you can get down at KR Puram, come to my house, refresh and then go to your brother's place. How does that sound?😊
These are few of my questions, will be back though... Sure. I enjoyed answering these questions.😳
