regarding your above answer, hope u don't mind, but i don't think i understand whether you have understood me...by the katha's, i did not mean the small stories such as the soorya one you have outlined, but the religious discourses taking place globally by excellent orators, particularly from Gujarat, and who speak on ramayan, bhagavat,gita.....so u have heard these? O gotcha now...nope...they are laden with ritualistic overtures and some of the speakers (in what i hear from my grandparents) also promote a rigidity in beliefs rather than leaving them lucid and flowing...just IMHO...as a kid i used to go with my grandparents to hear Dada Bhagwan discourses, and Moraribapu discourses...but i soon got antsy...a couple of times i spoke up when i shouldnt have so i stopped going after that...😆 my darnd tongue is going to get me in trouble one day 😆
nice point about the Mrs. being on IF... ummm, i suppose in this day and age, these things are not necessarily gender-centric... 😉 Yeah, i agree!! 😃V.interesting what u wrote on gandhi and hitler....have u read nathuram godse's speech after he killed gandhi? Yeah, i did...and i hate to say this, but i agreed with a lot of what he said...though i still dont think that his violence was justified, regardless... Any other such interesting points about hitler or hitler-related?...i didn't know all that about stalin...I have strong opinions about Hitler (or anything else, i guess 😃) but i feel that he has been given too much importance by the media...what he did was peanuts as compared to the oppressions carried out by groups of people all over the world for centuries- Egyptians vs their slaves; Romans vs Gauls; Romans vs Jews; Church vs pagans; Spanish Inquisition; Britishers vs their colonies; French bourgeouise vs commoners; Genghis Khan vs the lands he overtook; Alexandar vs his exploits; etc. etc. etc. Ultimately, in a modern setting Hitler stands out because it is relatively recent and was very disturbing for the rest of the world when the survivors told these tales of horror. Unfortunately, Stalin's camps had few or no survivors. Hitler's officials also made statements of apology etc. and came out with what happened. Stalin's officials were sent to the Gulag themselves...
Hitler had scientists that used the people in camps as guinea pigs. There is more than one medicine out there in the world today which was first experimented upon on helpless prisoners made by Hitler. He was also a qualified artist and some of his paintings are still considered to be classics after all these years. He also had very good architectural skills and had designed six underground bunkers for himself and his officials. I guess he is the inspiration for a lot of "bad" characters we see in movies to this day - the concept of the Evil Genius!
I guess whati am trying to say is that oppression and cruelty have existed in our human existence since the begining of our time. Even Neanderthals were probably displaced (cruelly or not) by homo sapiens. What Hitler did was in no way different from this human behavior. Was it cruel and inconsiderate? YES. Was it something to learn a lesson from? YES. Could it happen again if someone where as versatile and influential like Hitler? YES. Am I justifying Hitler or his behavior in any way? NO!
Just my opinion...of course...
BTW - aha, so u r not shy to answer in public, so thou art bindas? 😉 Me not stating what me is myself...people are allowed to guess what they want 😉. In my words i would say that i am confident...some see it as bindaas..some dont...thats all...
