Sakshi looks older than Simran

Today after watching Sakshi entrance for the first time I've noticed that in front of Simran(even after putting on so much makeup)she looked older than Simran. I admit she is a very good actress but for this role Ajay Sinha should cast a younger actress who could look like her student. Simran's face looked fresh and much younger than Sakshi.

Exactly scorpio. I just downloaded it from a site and was watching it. And looking at saakshi for the first time, I too felt they shud have considered someone younger or of a young structure. Someone who has a good screen personality.

BTW, even I'm not that bad... and I wud have agreed to work for half the amount.

I think saakshi brings a new fresh look to the programme and dont think she looks older than simran at all ... !! and they couldnt really get anyone younger to be honest, coz the position was for head of the gynac department...so had to be in between right ?!

remember if she is a doctor she must be in her 30's at least..and she looks good .. in my opinion anyhow!! think her and simran will share a great onscreen chemistry of what i have seen already !!

Sorry friends, i completely disagree to this!!! Sakshi comes into the serial giving it a new feel....Sakshi definitely looks younger to Simran. She has a new optimism in her face, which is surely rubbing onto Simran too...

I must say that Mrinal Kulkarni is a very good actress, capable of handling this role very nicely....She is also a very good looking actress, i feel Ajay Sinha has chosen the perfect person, to be the mirrior image of Dr. Simran!!!! This is my opinion, friends!!!

They've done this type of thing several times....There was a chap who played several roles..he was tall, with short curly hair and a moustache...he took on several different roles....i think he was simran's or urmila's doctor, then he was the husband of a woman patient who'd already had more than 1 daughter and wanted to terminate his wifes current pregnancy cos they found out it was a girll... i think there were other instances also...but the same actor played it...

Frankly if you guys ask my opinion, Mrinal has never overly impressed me as an actress. She might be looking older here because she and Nikki belong to the same age category . She first appeared in Swami and Srikanth in the early nineties.She played Ahillya bai in The Great Maratha and had looked stunning as the widow queen of Indore. That was I guess sometime in the late nineties. But since then she has appeared in many serials and I have not really seen her emoting any differently from one serial to another. She is pretty but her beauty is kind of stale which does not really impress after a while.

I am not sure how impressive she is as Dr Sakshi as I am not watching Astitva. But as far as screen presence is concerned, she might loose out to Nikki. It would have been nice if someone like Shweta Salve or Suchitra Krishnamurthi had played this role. They look mature enough to be doctors yet have a very young and fresh look. Though Mrinal might prove to be good as well.
