Sakshi looks older than Simran - Page 2

I don't think she looked much older than Simran per se but we also have to remember that Simran herself looks much younger than the 55 year old woman she plays. LOL. So, even if she does look close to Simran's age or older, it would not be surprising as Simran herself looks a good 20 years younger than her on-screen age. :-)

Yes, that was rather funny!! Also, if you remember they showed Pallavi Joshi coming in and talking to Pranay and Simran about her husband, whatever his name was (Was it Lalit?) and he was none other than Harsh Chhaya - Manas! And did the actor who plays Pranay himself not act in Justajoo as Neerja's husband?? God, these crossovers can be really hysterical..Same with PKG where Simran goes to treat Rimjhim - but thankfully she never got to see Babauji (Rimjhim's father-in-law, none other than Alok Nath)

You said it. Sometime back I was wondering whom I wud have taken and Shweta Salve was one of the names that came to my mind.

I personally like Mrinal... I had loved her in Hasratein and she belongs to my hometown 😉... but I didn't like her in Astitva as Simran's student. If they had showed her as Simran's friend or sister, it wud have been more acceptable.

But I'm happy that most of you like her.

I can take anyone if he/she does not cry all the time.

She first appeared in Swami and Srikanth in the early nineties.She played Ahillya bai in The Great Maratha and had looked stunning as the widow queen of Indore. That was I guess sometime in the late nineties. But since then she has appeared in many serials and I have not really seen her emoting any differently from one serial to another. She is pretty but her beauty is kind of stale which does not really impress after a while.

I am not sure how impressive she is as Dr Sakshi as I am not watching Astitva. But as far as screen presence is concerned, she might loose out to Nikki. It would have been nice if someone like Shweta Salve or Suchitra Krishnamurthi had played this role. They look mature enough to be doctors yet have a very young and fresh look. Though Mrinal might prove to be good as well.

I saw Mrinal Kulkarni today, where she ultimately accepts the job....she is doing a good job.. a descent actress that can carry a serial almost as well as nikki is....i don't know the other actresses mentioned in minnies post, but i don't think Mrinal Kulkarni will disappoint....
