Anyway, good that they are able to keep their professionalism intact.
Haha, sahi baat hai! Pyaar ka toh apna hi unpredictable timetable hota hai — na permission leta hai, na convenience ka wait karta hai!

Haha, exactly! Groveling should be proper groveling — full filmy style with dramatic declarations and heartfelt confessions. Bas ab dekhein, banda kitni mehnat karta hai!
Arjun on the other side of argument is always so funny with his poker face glaring at people thing. To one person he has to cower and to 200miles 🤣🤣 serves him right
Part 4
The office felt empty without her.
Riya had left, but her words still echoed in Arjun’s mind. "Jab kisi rishtay mein sirf ek insaan effort daalta hai, toh woh rishta ek din toot jaata hai, Arjun."
For the first time in a long while, he felt lost. Not because of a case, not because of the demons of his past, but because of something more personal, more painful.
He had been keeping his distance, believing it was for the best. But in doing so, had he only hurt her more?
***
Riya stepped inside her apartment, shutting the door behind her with force. She leaned against it, closing her eyes as she tried to suppress the emotions bubbling inside her.
But she couldn’t.
Tears burned in her eyes, her heart aching with every beat. She had held herself together for too long, pretending that Arjun’s indifference didn’t hurt. But tonight… tonight, she felt exhausted.
"Kya itni badi galti ki thi maine? Kya sirf uske saath khush rehna chahna hi galat tha?" she thought bitterly.
She had never expected Arjun to magically heal from his past, but she had hoped—hoped that one day, he would let her in. But instead, he had only built thicker walls around himself.
She walked toward her bedside table and picked up the small frame placed there. It was a picture of their ETF team—a moment from happier times. Riya traced the image of Arjun with her fingers, a sad smile playing on her lips.
"Tum hamesha apni dukh bhari kahani ke parde ke peeche chhupte rahoge, Arjun?"
A tear slipped down her cheek, but she quickly wiped it away.
No. Not anymore. She couldn’t keep waiting for him to decide when she mattered to him.
***
Arjun was still at the office, unable to go home. His mind was a whirlwind of emotions—confusion, regret, frustration.
"Mujhe bas thoda waqt chahiye." That’s what he had told Riya. But now he wondered—had he already taken too much time?
Sameer Rathore entered the dimly lit office, his sharp gaze immediately falling on Arjun. "Itni raat tak yahan kya kar rahe ho?"
Arjun didn’t respond.
Rathore sighed, walking over to him. "Riya chali gayi?"
Arjun’s head snapped up slightly, but he still didn’t say anything.
Rathore exhaled. "Tum dono ke beech kya chal raha hai, Rawte? Pehle tum uske saath waqt bitana chahte the, aur ab aise behave kar rahe ho jaise woh sirf ek aur officer ho."
Arjun looked away, jaw clenched.
Rathore continued. "Dekho, mujhe tumhari personal life mein padne ka shauk nahi hai. Lekin main itna zaroor keh sakta hoon—agar tumne usse door rakhna continue kiya, toh ek din woh waqai tumse door chali jaayegi."
Arjun felt a sharp pang in his chest. "Woh already ja chuki hai," he admitted, his voice barely above a whisper.
Rathore observed him for a moment before speaking again. "Aur tum sirf baithe dekh rahe ho?"
Arjun had no response to that.
Because deep down, he didn’t know the answer himself.
***
Riya walked into the ETF office the next day, her expression unreadable. She was composed, professional—just like she always had been.
But something was different.
She wasn’t avoiding Arjun. She wasn’t trying to talk to him, either. She was just… distant.
Arjun noticed it immediately.
"Yeh jo doori maine khud banayi thi… ab yeh sach ban rahi hai."
As the team gathered for the briefing, Shree glanced at Riya hesitantly. "Tu theek hai?"
Riya gave a small smile. "Main bilkul theek hoon, Shree."
But Arjun knew that smile was a lie.
Sameer Rathore walked in, setting a file on the table. "Naya case. Mumbai ke ek businessman ka murder hua hai. Crime scene pe kuch ajeeb clues mile hain."
Arjun quickly shifted his focus, pushing his personal turmoil aside. "Kya clues?"
"Ek letter chhoda gaya hai victim ke paas. ‘Aakhri khat’ likha hai uspe."
A strange tension filled the room.
"Aakhri khat?" Riya murmured, flipping through the file.
"Lagta hai kisi personal vendetta ka case hai," Arjun said, scanning the details.
"Murderer ne victim ko maarne se pehle usse ek letter likhne par majboor kiya hoga," Riya added, her analytical mind already working.
"Murder weapon?" Arjun asked.
"Koi direct weapon nahi mila. Lekin victim ke haath pe ek alag tarah ki chemical residue mili hai. Lab results aane tak kuch keh nahi sakte," Rathore replied.
Arjun nodded. "Crime scene pe chalke dekhna hoga."
Riya simply closed the file and stood up. "Chalein?"
Her tone was neutral—too neutral.
Arjun felt something clench inside him.
The professional barrier she had put up between them was stronger than ever.
And this time, it wasn’t his choice.
***
The crime scene was a luxurious penthouse, now tainted with blood and tragedy. The victim, Rajeev Malhotra, had been found slumped over his desk, a single letter placed beside him.
Riya kneeled beside the body, examining the evidence. "Killer ne koi jaldi nahi dikhayi. Yeh ek carefully planned murder hai."
Arjun stood beside her, looking over the crime scene with his usual keen observation. But his mind wasn’t entirely in the case.
He was too aware of Riya’s presence—of how she wasn’t looking at him, of how she had stopped calling him Sir in the way she used to.
He didn’t know why that bothered him so much.
"Ek baar use ignore karna meri majboori thi… lekin ab jab woh ignore kar rahi hai, toh mujhe kyun itna dukh ho raha hai?"
Riya, unaware of his internal conflict, continued her analysis. "Letter ke handwriting forensic lab bhejna hoga. Shayad kuch aur clues mil sake."
She stood up and turned to Arjun. Their eyes met for the briefest moment.
And in that moment, something shattered inside him.
Because for the first time, there was no warmth in her gaze.
Just a professional distance.
A distance that he had created.
A distance that might never close again.
Let's Nacho 💃💃💃💃 satyanash Arjun when you gonna stop this okay let's grovel together 😁 I like this Arjun and Riya, evil laugh 🤣

Haha, true! Arjun's mastered the art of the intense glare, but the moment he's cornered? Poof! All that bravado evaporates faster than his patience with Rathore's lectures!
