Chapter 3

A week later. A flight lands in the Mumbai airport. After all the procedure done. Arjun steps out of the Airport. With a unexplained look he says “I’m Back in this city, Again”. He then takes a taxi and tells the driver the address and the taxi moves to its destination.

In a residential building Sameer is humming and cooking something in the kitchen. The doorbell rings. The Sameer goes to the door and opens it. Looking at the guest, he says “Welcome my friend, it’s been a long time”. He then hugs Arjun. Arjun replies “Yeah, it’s really been long”. Sam then breaks the hug and welcomes Arjun inside. As they both settle in. Arjun notices something and says “Rathod, You still end up burning the food as usual, right?” Sameer smiles and then realizes “Food. Dammit! I forgot”. Then Sameer rushes to the kitchen and takes the burnt food off the stove. He says “It’s all thanks to you. I burned the food after a very long time”. Arjun with a blank look “Really”. Sameer from the kitchen “Yes. Looks like whenever I’m cooking the food with you being present. I’m bound to burn it.” Arjun then gives a faint smile and Sameer comes and sits next to him. He picks up his phone and looks at Arjun “You know what. It’s good that the food got burned. I’ll order something from the restaurant. I’m bored of having my own cooked food.” Arjun gives him a whatever look.

Later after having dinner. As Sameer is finishing his work in cleaning the kitchen, Arjun comes and stands at the door of the kitchen with arms and legs crossed “Rathod, come on spill it out.” Sameer gives a surprised look “Spill what?” Arjun without looking “The reason you brought me here.” Sameer goes to him “Well, a new division is added in the MPD and I want you to help me in leading the team.” Arjun with and unconvinced look “And?” Sameer then moves away and sits on the couch “And what?” Arjun follows him “The other reason. I bet you haven’t called me here only to inform me about this right?” Sameer gives a small laugh “ You haven’t changed at all. Always straight to the point.” Arjun glares at him with a when you know it, what are you waiting for look. Sameer gets it and looks at him seriously “Look Arjun. I’ve been assigned as the Chief of the ETF team. And I wanted a person whose skills are way too high above others. And you’re the only one that came to my mind.” Arjun leans forward, “So basically Rathod, you are using me for your advantage. Right?” Sameer looks directly at Arjun “Yes and No.” Arjun glares at Sam. Sameer notices it and says “Woah. Hold on, before you kill me with that look of yours, let me explain.” Arjun looks at him and Sam continues “Rawte, since I’m now the Chief of the ETF team. I have a lot of responsibilities on my shoulders now. And I need someone as good as you in my team who is perfect in every aspect. It’s just that I want to prove to the senior officials that we are no less than Division 1 and we can prove our worth.” Arjun with a surprised look “That’s such a deep thought coming from you, and the other one, spill it out.” Sameer sigh “Look Rawte. I don’t know about you. But I’m in a search of my princess. I need your help in finding one for me.” Arjun raises an eyebrow “And how exactly can I help you in finding a girl?” Sameer smiles and says “I’ll tell you that when the time comes.” He then gets up “Let’s end our conversation here, it’s getting late and tomorrow is the first day of work and we need to rest.” Arjun looks disinterested and Sameer continues “Your room is ready, go and rest, as we have to be in the office at sharp 9:00. I bet you don’t want to be late on your first day right.” Sameer goes to the door of his room and looks back at Arjun “Alright then Arjun, good night.”

Both depart to their rooms. In his room Arjun does some work in his laptop and checks some mails. After his works ends he lies on the bed and thinks “Don’t know what this new day would bring in my life”. And with this thought he drifts off to sleep.

The next morning. Sameer while having coffee calls out Arjun “Rawte, where are you, we’re getting late”. Sameer then goes to the kitchen and puts his cup in the sink and goes to the living room to get the car keys. Arjun comes out of his room and says “Rathod, you go ahead. I’ll come later.” Sameer with a surprised look “What! But we’re getting late.” Arjun while tucking his gun “Sorry Rathod, but I need to stop somewhere before coming to the office.” Sameer sighs “Okay, but don’t be late. Oh I forgot.” He then throws something to Arjun and he catches it “The spare keys of the flat”. Arjun thanks him. Sameer leaves.

After a few minutes Arjun leaves the flat and goes to the parking lot of the building. He finds a person waiting for him there. The person hands him the car keys and leaves. Arjun sits in the car and drives off. After driving for 15 minutes. He comes to an area full of Villa’s. He enters a street and stops by Villa No. 24. After a few minutes, he drives off the street and turns and goes 2 blocks away from the first house. He then stops at the end of the second block. He then gets out of the car and puts his shades on and walks on the street and stops in front of Villa No. 36. He looks at the Villa with a blank look. He then goes and checks the mailbox. He then walks back to his car. He then stands next to the car and takes his cell phone and dials a number.

Arjun: Hello

Person: Hello

Arjun: (looks at each side) Where are you now?

Person: The flight landed an hour ago and I’ve just finished my work at the security.

Arjun: Alright, so after you leave the airport. Take a taxi and come to the location. I already messaged you the location.

Person: Okay.

Arjun: (looking at a side) You’ll get the keys in the mailbox. Don’t worry. I’ve made all the preparations.

Person: Alright

Arjun: See you later

Arjun then ends the call and sits in the car and drives off to the ETF.
