Chapter -1

A meeting is being held in a conference room in the MPD (Metropolitan Police Department). A few people are discussing something.

Note: This is a small part of the convo.

Man 1: What is the meaning of this?

Man 2: This is the best that we can do right now

Man 3: What is the need of all this?

Man 2: There is the need as we cant rely on Division 1 completely

Man 4: Of-course we can, and your idea is not at all acceptable

Man 3: Yes, what is the need of opening a new Division, when we already have such good Divisions in our department.

Man 2: To lessen the workload on Division 1, we new a new one.

The other people give look at each other

Man 4: Still, this is completely useless

Man 2: No, but by doing this, it will be completely useful

Man 1: Do you know the risk involved in this step of yours?

Man 2: Yes, I do acknowledge it

Man 3: What if you were not able to fulfill it?

Man 2: There is no chance for it

Then the Man 2 comes out of the conference room and after walking a few steps. Excitedly to himself “Yes! Wow Rathore you’ve done it. You finally convinced them”. And continues “Now, the only step is left is to gather the members around” And he leaves.

Chapter - 2

The next day Sam goes to his cabin and collects the papers of the officers and then he calls a officer and hands him the papers to prepare the files for the new department.

Few hours later a press conference is being held in the MPD. The Chief of the MPD leads the conversation

Chief: Due to the increase of crime rate and slow progress in solving cases. The MPD has decided to establish a new unit. Emergency Task Force ETF

Reporter 1: Exactly what is the job of the ETF?

Chief: The job is ( and he looks at the other officials present)

Just then Sameer enters and answers the Reporter

Sameer: The ETF will be assisting Division 1 in their investigations. Sorry to interrupt. I’m Sameer Rathod.

Reporter 2: Does ETF only assist Division 1 or will it solve cases too?

Sameer: Of course it will, as we can’t let extra burden fall on Division 1. As they have a lot of cases to solve (taunting with a smile and looking at the two other officials present with the chief)

Reporter 3: Can the ETF handle the situations all alone?

Sameer: Why not. As we got the best officers in our team, we have each officer form different Divisions. It wont be tough

Reporter 4: Who will be leading the ETF team?

Sameer: It will be me ACP Sameer Rathod and assisting me will be ACP Arjun Suryakant Rawte. Thank you

The press conference ends. And every member of the ETF get their appointment letter.

Somewhere in New York.

In a room of a residential building, a person is sitting and staring in front of the laptop screen. After sending some mails he gets up and goes to make a cup of tea. He then takes his cup and goes to the window and takes a look at the view outside. Later his phone rings. At first he ignores the call, then he later answers it.

Man 1: Hello

Man 2: Hello. What hello. Dammit. What’s wrong with you Arjun. Why are you ignoring my calls?

Arjun: (Cool Tone) What is it Rathod. Why did you call?

Sameer: As if you don’t know why. I’m sure you’ve gotten the mail too.

Arjun: What mail?

Sameer: Oh come on don’t act dumb. You exactly know what mail I’m talking about.

Arjun: Oh that mail. So?

Sameer: So. When are you coming to Mumbai to join?

Arjun: I’m not coming

Sameer: Not coming. Why?

Arjun: I’m happy with my post here in the US. I don’t want to leave it for now

Sameer: You’ll be more happier here in Mumbai. And also all your friends are here too.

Arjun: I will think about it

Sameer: No, its final that you’ll come. I’ll send your tickets soon

Arjun: But Rathod

Sameer: See you next week. Bye

Sam ends the call

Arjun: (moves his head in disbelief) This Sam is totally crazy.

Then Arjun goes and stands next to the window watching the city view and sips on his tea
