Chapter 18:Arjun tried hard to break free the handcuffs but it was too strong. He had less time and he had to act fast. He knew he will not be able to break free from there so he needed help.
Struggling a little he took out the phone from his hip pocket and dropped it on the ground. The phone cover saved it from getting any severe cracks.
He pulled out his feet from the shoes with the help of the other leg. He called Riya's number all by his legs and put the phone on speaker. Riya picked up the call after three - four rings.
Riya: hello?
Arjun: Riya tum jald se jald ETF office pohucho.
Riya: ETF office par kyu? Aur aap kaha hai?
Arjun narrated everything to her. And understanding the seriousness of the situation she reached the office in no time. There she found Arjun trying very hard to break free the shackles.
She didn't have the keys so she took out her gun and fired on the handcuffs to break it open. She was successful but Arjun's struggles were clearly shown. His hands were bleeding profusely.
It pained her seeing him in such condition. The team for which he was doing so much was not believing him or in turn torturing him for no reason. How come the best investigating team of the whole India believed a criminal. How come they were standing against their own people. How impulsively they were acting. And how without going to the depth they were beliving what they were seeing.
For once, forgetting every oath, every promise, every relation, she wished not to help them, not to rescue them. The people who were not ready to trust them. Who being their family didn't stand with them and turned against them, didn't deserve their help. She wished that they should suffer the consequences of their own actions. But Arjun was Arjun he made her understand and they left for the go down with enough arms and ammunitions.
On the way they called Raghu and informed him of the recent activities. He told he'll reach the go down with external force soon. Arjun and Riya parked their car beside the ETF car, connected themselves and Raghu with wireless bluetooth system and went towards the go down. They were cautiously and swiftly entering the go down silently killing all who guarded their way.
On reaching inside they found a safe spot and hid behind it from where they could watch around the whole place. There they found Shekhar urf Sikander standing and laughing menacingly over his victory along with his brother Imran. By the looks of it, it seemed the whole truth was out.
After seeing Sikander so close to him, he wanted to finish him but constrained himself as he knew that 6 people were held captive. The plus point was it was a drug deal so there were no additional people to be saved.
Riya and Arjun were partially standing, partially sitting in that small area. Arjun's hand was on her waist which tightened time and again when someone came in their direction.
This made Riya look upto him from time to time. Standing so close to Arjun sent shivers down her spine, she had butterflies in her stomach and her knees were going weak.
At one time she found one of the goons coming in their direction so she tried to hide herself completely which resulted in her hugging Arjun.
That caught him off guard. He was astonished to see how perfectly she fits in his arms. And that mere hug passed an essence of peace from which he was long deprived.
He looked at her intently and Riya also breaking the hug glanced at him. The moment their eyes met they were lost.
So many emotions were passing, love, longing, pain, betrayal, revenge, saddness, loneliness, abandonment.
But soon they came out when they heard Raghu Sir informing them about their arrival. He also said that he would instruct the back up force to surround the area in such away that the people inside would not be able to see them. Arjun agreed to it and glanced back at the team who were tied against a hollow cylindrical metallic figure with bombs around them.
Few hours ago
ETF team reached the go down where the supposed deal was to take place. They parked the car at a distance when they saw Commisioner Cohelo coming towards them. Surprised Sameer asked
Sameer: Sir, aap yaha?
Cohelo: Ha Rathore, aaj ka deal bohut bara hai. I can't take risk. Aur tum logo ki safety bhi toh mujhe hi dekhni hai.
All smiled at him gratefully while He smiled at their foolishness. He inwardly thought that nobody could protect them today as He, himself restricted The backup force from coming. And these fools had constrained Arjun from coming.
Soon they entered one of the go downs not knowing much that their would be anything prepared against them since as per their knowledge the deal was to take place in the other godown which was a little away.
They entered and since no one was there they scattered themselves in search of some important evidence. But very Soon a man came and held Cohelo as captive and forced everyone to drop their guns. He inestructed his men to tie them around that cylinder and wrapped the bomb around them which was mechanized with the compuher and could be diffused by it only.
They all struggled against the chains and shouted at the man to reveal his face and leave commisioner.
Sameer: kaun ho tum? Choro sir ko.
man: main wohi hu jiske wajood par kisiko bharosa nahi. Main wohi hu jo iss underworld ka betaaj baadshah hai. Main hi hu drug king Sikander.
Saying so he opened his mask only to reveal, Shekhar Khan a well known businessman. the whole team was shocked. Till now they believed Sikander didn't exist but now he was standing in front of them. but that was not all since the climax was coming up.
Sikander left Cohelo and he in turn went towards him and hugged him affectionately. all were shocked seeing this. They couldn't believe their eyes and was not able to comprehend what was happening.
Cohelo: iye log sachme gadhe hai. mujhpe bharosa kar liya aur bechare Arjun ko doshi bana diya. Inn ke saamne mei ek ke baad ek jhut sajata gaya aur yeh log wahi sach mante gaye. bechara Arjun aj bhi unhe rokne ki bachane ki puri koshish ki par nahi. Iye log toh use hi baandh ke chale aye. Mere upar, Sikander, Imran ke upar bharosa karke.
saying so both were lost laughing at their victory. And continued narrating the whole story.
Present
Arjun: Riya hume inka dhyaan batana hoga.
Riya: I know main kuch karti hu.
Arjun: Kya?
Riya: Areh jaha brain haar maan jaye waha beauty apna kamal dikhaye.
saying so she winked at him.
Riya: areh dekhiye, Sikander aur Imran bahar jaa rahe hai. unke alawa aur koi akal mand nahi hai yaha. Aur baaki toh abhi daaru party karne mein busy ho jayenge. Aaphine mujhe woh wine bottles dikhaye toh main waha unko thora entertain karti hu aur wine pilati hu. Tab tak aap bomb diffuse karne ki kodhish kijiye main wapas akar apki help karti hu.
Arjun looked at her pride beaming through his eyes. He just asked her to stay safe as she left to kill those men with her beauty.
As soon as Sikander went out those men went to to the other go down to enjoy their wine where Riya had cunningly mixed some drug which would keep them unconscious for the next few hours. after making sure all had the alcohol she left to help Arjun.
On the other hand as soon as the go down was empty Arjun came to them. and checked the bomb and then the laptop. others were shocked to see him there. They were guilty for what they did and even more guilty when Arjun came to save them even after all these. Their guolt increased when tgey saw Arjun's bleeding hand. Arjun started to deactivate the bomb. Others tried to convince him that his attempts were futile and told them to leave and save his life.
Sameer: Arjun, jao yaha se. Hume chor do apni jaan bachao.
Ayesha: yes sir the bomb diffuse nahi hoga. computerised hai. aap jaiye yaha se.
Others also repeated the same thing. But Arjun paid no need to their words and continued his work. Soon Riya came running to him. He glanced at her.
Riya: kam hogaya, sab out hagaye hai.
Arjun: good. inko kholne ki koshish karo humare paas sirf dus minute hai.
Riya nodded. She glanced at the team for once she wanted to leave them to fend for themselves but then she started to open them. Whereas the team kept on telling them to leave.
Sameet: Arjun apni jaan khatren mein mat daalon. Jao yaha se.
Shree: sir yeh bomb diffuse nahi hogaplogog Nikaliye yaha se.
chotu: ha sir hume mar jaane dijiye
Sakshi: Arjun Riya apni jaan bachao. Aur tumhe pata hai commisioner sir Sikander ka bhai hai.
Riya: Hum jaante hai.
Sameer: Arjun...
Aejun: agar madad nahi kar sakte toh chup raho aur mujhe mera kaam karne do.
Arjun was trying very hard to successfully diffuse the bomb but in such less time was difficult. He was doing his work when he glanced at the other side and saw sikander pointing gun towards others. He looked back at the monitor and found it ready. He clicked enter therby diffusing the bomb. He sighed and next moment jumped and stood in front of the gun. Sikander's smile widened seeing him.
Sikander: ao Arjun tumhara hi intezaar tha. pichle baar tumhe zinda chorna bohut bari galti thi jo iss baar nahi hogi. Tum aur tumhari team dono marenge.
Imran: aur dosh ayega tumpe. Marne ke baad bhi tumhe chain nahi milega Arjun.
Others gasped but Arjun didn't falter.
arjun: goli chalado Sikander. kyuki agar yeh mauka gaya toh fir nahi ayega aur tum baad mein pachtaoge.
sikander smiled looking at the bomb.
Sikander: tum apni team ko chor ke nahi jaoge. Zarurat se zyada ache ho aur yahi tumhari maut leke ayegi.
Saying so he laughed and left with Imran, thinking the bomb will kill everyone. But he couldn't go out as he was countered by back up force. Arjun turned towards Riya and team and said that the bomb was diffused. They all were so relaxed. Then Riya opened them quickly. Sameer was about to hug Arjun, and others too wanted to apologize to him. When Sikander came running inside with back force behind him.
He pointed his gun at Arjun. His eyes showed anger and hatred for Arjun. And he seemed ready to kill him. All the team members now knew the truth and they won't let anything happen to Arjun.
But they didn't need to do any thing as the commandos snatched his gun and put him at gun point. All were now relaxed as finally everything was over. Arjun wanted to kill him but controlled his urge as he knew he couldn't take up law in his hands.
Imran was arrested. drugs were taken in custody. All knew Sikander had lost the battle so every one put their guard down. Seeing the situation Sikander took one last chance. He pushed the near by officer and got hold of his gun and fired it two times.
No one knew where those two bullets went. But all were satisfied as Arjun emptied his gun into Sikander. Thus ending the evil forever. They all knew it is the best thing that happened and all were content. But next moment their happiness changed to horror.
Arjun's gun fell from his hand and he stumbled a little before falling to his knees and then collapsing on the ground . Soon a pool of blood formed beneath him. And Every one knew where those bullets were fired.
