Her thoughts were broken when the doctor came out of the OT. She rushed to him. " Doctor Arjun kaisa hai woh thik toh hai na?" She asked everything in one breath. The doctor sighed and said." Dekhiye humne bullets toh nikal diye hai par goli dil ke bohat pass lagi thi. Woh filhal khatren se bahar toh hai par unhe complete rest ki jarurat hai. Aur yeh toh hui physical problems ki bath. Unhe dekhkar mujhe aisa laga ki woh bohat problems mein ho stress level kuch zyada high tha uper se proper khane peene ki kami aur lack of adequate rest yeh bhi hai. Toh aap logo ko unka achese khyaal rakhna hoga." Riya replied." Don't worry doctor Main unka pura khyaal rakhungi. Kya main unse mil sakti hu?" The doctor said."Nahi abhi unhe hosh nahi hai, hosh aane mein waqt hai toh aap baad mein mil lijiyega. Now excuse me. " Saying so the doctor left.
Next morning Arjun regained consciousness and found Riya sitting beside him. Arjun looked at her and weakly smiled at her then said in a voice which was nothing more than a whisper "Riiiyyaaa." Riya saw him tearily and replied in a broken voice." Baat mat kijiye mujhse aap. Kya jarurat thi unhe bachane ki jinhone aapka sath nahi diya aap pe ungli uthai aapko galat saabit karne ko tule the. Aur us wajahse aap aapko kitni chote ayai. Main kitna dar gayi thi aapko andaza bhi hai?" Arjun smiled sadly and said. "Sorry Riya. Par police officer banne se pahle kasam khayi thi ki sabki madad karunga aur duty ke waqt koi personal relations beech mein nahi launga toh wahi kiya."
Arjun looked at Riya and when she didn't reply he continued." Riya, janti ho maa mujhe janam dete waqt gujar gayi. Zindagi bhar pyaar keliye tarsa hu Riya issiliye jab Roshni aur Sameer se mila toh khud ko rok nahi paya, ETF team ke sath bhi shayad ek rishta ban gaya tha. Aur iss baar bhi joh kiya woh shayad issiliye."
Riya couldn't hold any longer she just hugged Arjun with all her might and Arjun smiled and patted her back.
That is how Raghu Sir found them. But unknown to them another person heard their whole conversation and that was Sameer Rathore. He couldn't stay their after what he heard so he left immediately without meeting them.
One month later Arjun was fit well kind of fit to resume duty but with ample restrictions. Riya's care had made him fit but his wounds were still not done. So the doctor restricted him from strenuous physical exercise and instructed him for timely meal and medicine which irritated him to next level but one glare from Riya made his mouthshut. No one would actually believe but The Arjun Rawte was actually scared of Riya Mukherjee now.
On the other hand ETF office was busy preparing to welcome Arjun. After they were satisfied that everything was done they waited for Arjun to come. A few minutes later he entered along with Riya. Surprised or rather shocked with the whole arrangement he just kept looked at the core team when the past haunted him.
Hurling accuses and abuses ran into his ears." Tum,tumhara gussa, tumhari zid ekdin sabki jaan leke rahegi." "Arjun Sir aisa karenge kabhi socha nahi tha." "You are suspended from ETF." "Mujhse aur mere team se door rahna tum ek khooni ho. Apne parivar ko toh maar hi diya fir Roshni ko bhi ab inke piche pare ho".
His breathing became heavy and he looked around. They all had put their heads down because of guilt. They understood pretty well what Arjun was going through. There was an uncomfortable silence in the building.
Gathering enough courage Rathore spoke up breaking the silence he asked."Kaise ho Arjun?" Arjun looked at him for a while when all the past memories ran into his mind and said."Zinda hu Rathore". That one line contained so many emotions that no one else had the courage to look upto him.
Before anyone else could say anything Raghu Sir came in. He greeted Arjun and asked him about his Health.
Then turned to eveyone and said." Riya and Arjun tum dono ne bahaduri aur imandari se yeh case solve kiya ussiliye tum dono koh Promotions mil rahe hai. You are now DCP Arjun Rawte and ACP Riya Mukherjee. Sikander ka case bhi close ho chuka hai and naya Commisioner appoint hone tak tum log mujhe report karna. And Arjun take care."
The word Commisioner brought back the painful memories of the past but everyone controlled themselves.Saying these Raghu Sir left.
Arjun was lost in his thoughts Riya was worried for him as the Doctor told her that Arjun should not take stress.The rest of the team looked at them they were thinking how to face them and apologize to them. Situation was tough for everyone it just depended on how they'd deal with it.
