The surrounding was similar to the present scenario. Arjun stood outside the ward leaning on the wall. Sameer sat on the bench crying. While Chotu and Shree held Riya's hand and mourned over the loss of a dear friend.

An hour later when the doctor came to take the body for post mortem he was stopped by Arjun. An angry Rathore shouted. " Yeh kya kar rahe ho Rawte? Arjun in return asked the doctor. "Doctor aap please ek baar fir koshish kijiye. Ek baar aur test karke dekhiye mujhe lagta hai Riya zinda hai." The doctor was shocked he tried to contradict but one look at the four people present around told him not to do so.

He pushed the electric plates against Riya's body four to five times. Shree,Sameer,Chotu had lost hope already but Arjun insisted on trying again after the eighth try the miracle did happen and Riya responded back. The doctor exclaimed shock evident in his voice. " Aisa mere itne saalon ke carrier mein paheli baar hua hai. But how did you know ki woh zinda hai?" With this question every head turned towards Arjun. He replied in a lost voice. "Pata nahi bas pata tha ki woh zinda hai."

Like this one month passed and Riya was improving steadily. Every one came to meet her during the day but her eyes always searched for the one person for whom she returned even from death. Unknown to her and all others he came every night and stayed in the hospital and went before anyone else arrived. This was his daily routine from last one month. But one night he received a letter the hand writing was familiar.

It said." Bahar se dekhne se kaise pata chalega ki main kaisi hu? Agar roz aatehi hai toh ek baar mil lijiye. Aap ko sukun milega aur mujhe acha lagega." He was surprised to see the letter.

He slowly went inside only to see Riya flashing her beautiful smile. Before he could say anything Riya began."Aapko sabki fiker hai bas aap dikhate nahi hai. From that day the relation between Arjun and Riya changed. It was not a proper friends relation but much better than just colleagues. May be it was the starting of a new friendship or may be something more!
