I have a lot of questions in my

So this killer is onto her. But one thing, she didn't follow up on her gut feeling that someone keeping watch on her the moment Arjun walked in, is it cause she felt it was him and not the killer? A 'I can sense you around me" thing?

Interesting that you use the word "can't". In my head, it's not a question of can't as much as it is a question of "won't". Riya finds it easier to suppress emotions than actively face them. Even in Canon, it took her a lot of time to break down completely after shooting someone for the first time - her internal turmoil wasn't noticed by anyone.. Arjun in contrast is relatively transparent to those who spend time with him. With just his walk we as readers and observers can guesstimate what is going on in his head. But Riya, despite lengthy chapters - still remains a mystery. Her processing, like all things, wants pure objectivity. Since she's unable to think of ways to remain rational and objective, she chooses distractions - either sleeping or burying her head in her diary or in the case of her sister's death - smoking cigarette after cigarette after cigarette and then punching Arjun...

She does follow up on gut feelings and checks the balcony but without proof, can't really say anything as everything is too preliminary. She would probably investigate further, but Arjun walks in and we know what happens after that. So much has happened in such a short span of time to her...

Story won't be finished abruptly, I have huge plans for it. Can't handle the tag of being an abandoner, myself having cursed many writers for leaving stories halfway... Updates will be a little delayed now however, because we're entering the thick of the mystery and everything needs to be carefully planned in order to come to head at the end... I will probably finish the story in another 9-10 chapters...

I said "can't" cause everything happening too fast and there are too many things to consider. It's her boss, she's someone who's far and foremost very professional and very aware of the complexities for harbouring feeling for a senior. Then there is the thing about being totally one sided. Feeling and having hots for someone is very different thing, how can she tell the difference? Processing this means admitting it, and which can't afford right now. That's why can't and not won't. Though it seems very similar 😆

That's an interesting way of looking into Riya. I always felt we viewers connect to Riya cause she's one of us, just like Shree. She's very like us, a newbie, figuring out these big amazing people around her. She's our narrator...but I agree that Arjun with all his brooding and mysterious is transparent. His one look or twist of mouth makes us know if he's displeased or okay with situation. We know how he was- he didn't believe in God, a khadoos even then 😆 only loved Sam and Rosh, love tea etc. Riya seems more intriguing cause we know her quirks but not who she is deep down, her past and stuff

Tell me about it, the horror/anger of unfinished fanfic. Looking forward to the next update ❤️

OMG !!! I thought that the chapter would be on the aftermath of the unexpected kiss and their inner termoils, bt my my...kahani me twist... riya's sis nd brother in law is dead. Someone is watching over her... I hv a gut feeling whether d nxt target would b riya. Bt arjun really acted vry insensitively towards riya... nd her reaction was completely perfect... even i would hv done d same thing if i were in her place...

Great chapter with a twist... waiting eagerly to know what happens nxt...
