Part 2:

ETF conference Room:

Sakshi walked in with the help of crutch gaining attention of her team members with a clasp sound against the floor.

"Sakshi, Why are you here? You should be in hospital !!" Aisha offered her chair comforting her with a smile.

"I am fine Aisha. Those four walls are boring me, so I thought of coming and boring you people." She chuckled.

"Did you take discharge? Or.." Sameeer's incomplete question is understandable.

"Yes. I took discharge. Now you people stop taking tension. I will work from desk." Sakshi said.

Arjun was silently watching her. She does look better than yesterday, but she is not ok. Can't she take care of herself? Why can't she be there at hospital? What is the need of coming to office? If she is getting bored, she can call Aisha, Liza, Shree and Chotu there. He calmed himself down saying, she is here with doctors permission, so she must be alright. His firm decision is to take care of her and keep her happy all the time.

Evening:

"Sakshi, why are you still working you need rest. You should be home by now. It is already 9" Aisha said.

"I will be leaving in next 15 minutes. Don't worry about me dear. You please carry on." Sakshi said.

"I am fine waiting for you. Complete your work fast. We will leave together" Aisha said.

"That's ok Aisha. Even you are getting late. You please leave. I will drop Sakshi Safely." Arjun walked in with his offer.

Aisha smiled and left from there. Arjun sat opposite to Sakshi as she is still working. She didn't react at his offer. No acceptance or rejection. Shall he take this silence as acceptance. There is nothing to think. He already treated it as acceptance.

Sakshi closed her file and looked at Arjun who is staring at her. He didn't even roll his eyes realizing her eyes towards him. He isn't embarrassed.

"Shall we leave?" Sakshi enquired.

"Yes" he got up from his seat pushing
chair back.

Sakshi tried to get up in pain. Due to long hours of sitting, wounded leg ached. She pressed her eyes while getting up displaying pain. Before she could feel herself standing straight on her legs, she felt iron strong arms carrying her.

"Arjun, I can walk. Please put me down." She said.

"Sakshi, I can carry you. Please shut your mouth and let me do my work." He reprimanded in imitated tone.

Walk till car was matter of minutes which was like a passed moment. They wished distance never end, but they reached in no time. Arjun confined her with a seat belt in passenger seat. He is back to his driving seat.

They were silent. Silence waved its hand and moved away after 10 minutes of the journey. For the first time, Arjun spoke before Sakshi.

"U shouldn't have come from hospital today. U need rest." Arjun said.

Sakshi smiled. His care, his concern which she wanted is here now. Before her. Served in silver plate with a golden spoon. She turned to him.

"Mein teekh hoon Arjun. Don't worry about me." Sakshi said.

They wee silent as thoughts whispered. They were beside each other, thinking about each other but far to reach. Just a step and word will bring them together.

"Iss ehsaas ko Na samajh hokar kaise samjhau usse!! Dil ki dehleez pe khade kar ke dil ke andar kaise bulau usse. Badalti lakhiron ko kaise sambhalu. Samaet hui kushiyon ko bayaan kaise karoon!!" He looked at her with hands on steering.

She is deep thoughts with a pleasant face, "kushiyon ki shuruat hua hai. Roshini ki woh jhalak mili hai. Ehsaas ki ehsaas hona baki hai. Uska ek kadam ke saath mein saath kadam chalna baaki haip." Her lips curved.

"Sakshi." He turned to her halting car.

"Ha Arjun." Subtle excitement in her voice and anticipating eyes captured him.

Controlling his senses, "Sakshi Mujhe yeh kehna tha..."

"Kaho Arjun."

"Woh mein yeh keh raha tha ki, we reached ur place." He turned straight taking in breath held from long time.

She peeped out of window. Car halted in parking area of her apartment. She smiled and left from there wishing good night and exchanging tensed glances.

Next Day: ETF:

"Pata hai kal Arjun sir Sakshi ko drop karne gaye te." Aisha said while sitting leisure in conference room.

"Yeh kamaal kaise hogaya??!!" Chotu exclaimed.

"Unbelievable. May be Arjun sir started loving her." Liza smiled.

"Pyaar vyaar nahi hai. Sirf guilt hai." Shree stated unknown of fact that Sakshi was hearing there conversation standing at door.

***

Canteen:

Sakshi was flipping pages of file with a warm coffee on table. She is not interested in both. Arjun hesitated to approach her. But made his way.

"Sakshi woh Mujhe kehna tha.." Arjun paused.

"Kya kehna tha?" She enquired pretending to work.

"Nahi. Actually poochna tha. Kya tumne medicines liya?!" Arjun diverted.

"Nahi." She don't want to talk to him.

"Nahi!!! U have to take medicines on time." He said.

"Medicines late khane se marr Nahi jaungi. Waise tumhe Kya pharak padta hai?!" She questioned shocking him. She slowly got up and walked away from there.

***

Corridor:

"Sakshi rukho!!" Arjun's firm voice highlighting his base.

Sakshi stopped at her step. She counted her beat. He walked and stood before her.

"Mein tumse baat kar raha tha!!" He stressed. "And Mujhe pharak padta hai. Pharak padta hai Kyun ki."

His sentence was cut by her, "Kyun ki aap guilty feel kar rahe hai." She stated. She gulped formed lump, "And Mujhe kisi ki daya ki zaroorat nahi hai." She didn't even dare to look into his eyes. Because somewhere even she know that what she felt from his changed behavior cannot be because of guilt.

They stood there for a moment. He was baffled hearing her. She tend to go but he held her hand, "I love you Sakshi"

She shivered hearing him. Her heart skipped a beat. She thought she was dreaming. But this cannot be dream. Her heat emitting body cannot be lying. As her lashes flattered tears rolled down.

Arjun wiped tear and cupped face in his rough palms, "Jab tak tum mere aankhon ke samne thi, tab tak mein ne kadar nahi kiya. Teri mere taraf har badti kadam ko kataon se sajaya. Par tumhe khone ka darr mere dil ka haal baya kiya. Bahot din baad, I heard by heart beating. Mera patatledu dil ka Pehli Dhadkan ho tum." She stood staring into his deep eyes. "Aisa Kya dekh rahi ho?!"

"Tumne itne sare baate kaha se seekha?!" Sakshi enquired.

"Meri chatter box. Sakshi Anand se." She smiled. More than chatter box, his implication of she belonging to him made her smile.

"I promise Sakshi. Mein kabhi bhi Teri dil nahi dukaunga. Please be with me for life time. I love you."

She took a step back and looked at him, "Sabse difficult cheez ke liye taiyar hojao, to stay with me." She opened her arm as other is fractured. "Abb samjhe ya samjhau." They shared a sweet hug as he kissed her on forehead.

End with a new beginning.
