I don't know where I should start from.😕

Firstly, Kapoor-Verma, their equation, and care for each other, understanding, & then their re-union...everything was written brilliantly. The friendship they share is just perfect. even misunderstanding & conflict of view cannot take that away. Their relationship is stretch beautifully.

Sanjana: A broken soul. My heart goes to her. She is the only character to whom I could relate. (Other characters are near to fiction But only this character is more closer to reality). & then of course her loving & understanding...though there scenes were short & not much revealing But They were still able stole my heart.

Accept my heartily congratulation for writing her "realistic" character.

Sameer-Shree broken state was written nicely, though there were some cheezy lines but I am ready to look beyond that.😳

The Flashback was cute.

Sakshi-kapoor are finally in good term. That's good. Though I am still confuse about their equation.

Karan's story was expected. I was sure some way or another he must be connected to Sikander. I was right.

Simran-Sakshi's friendship was a surprise element.

About Sakshi's character: I can't find anything consistence in her character. I mean I know she is mentally strong & emotionally weak but there are many things which does not make sense at all How come She became a "superwoman"?? & if she was always like that then it was not shown properly. & of course Again I didn't like the "stripping" part & her silence. I know you will definitely have some explanation for that but believe me. As I girl I can never allow anyone Not even my Fiance (to whom I am engaged from 1 year now) to treat me like this,

& then Arjun's character. His character needs little polishing...Till now he is doing nothing important in this story expect following KV tips & writing notes. Is character is sure under-estimated.

Sikander: Again accept my congratulations for writing is character so brilliantly. When Rimi told me that his character is different & nicely written I just couldn't hold my curiosity & read chapter 37 first, It indeed is unique & very well written.😊

With all the responsibility I wanna say something I am highly disappointed by Arjun's character & actions. I mean everyone one in this story is trying really hard to avenge their love one's death. & providing justice to them expect Arjun.

Expect some FBs there is nothing that shows his devotion to his dead wife. The fire is missing.

Secondly, I am very happy that you care about readers review & question & answer them patiently But as a writer you should learn to answer their questions in updates update. My english teacher told me once "If you have to explain your story that's fine. Readers can get confused But when you have to give clarification then something is definitely wrong" though I am still not able to master it But thought os sharing it with you so that we can help each other.

Chapter 38

Sanjana sat in her room... she was tensed... she didn't know what to do...

"Damn it! Just at a roadblock!" she cursed and sat down..

"Sanju... kya hua? Aap itne..." Zuber came in..

"Pichle ek hafte se main koshish kar rahi hoon ki kuch suraak mile... but I am just at a dead end..." Sanjana sighed...

"Tumhe kuch mila?" she asked with hope..

"Nahi... aur joh hope baki tha... woh bhi khatam ho gaya..." Zuber said...

"You know na.. ACP Arjun Rawte is dead..." he said blankly...

Sanjana nodded... "Hmm.. pata nahi... yakeen nahi aata mujhe... trust me..." she said...

Zuber sighed and sat next to her... when someone knocked...

"Kaun?" Zuber asked...

"Arrey... swaagat nahi karoge humara?" A filmy dialogue came in...

"Verma?" Sanjana said...

"Exactly!" Verma came in with a huge grin...

"Verma... hum aapko samaj hi nahi paa rahe hai... abhi abhi dehant hua... aur aap hai ki... Arjun ko itni jald hi kaise bhool sakte hai?" Zuber asked while Verma's smile faltered...

"Guys... be ready... not you Sanjana... you are not coming on the field..." Verma ordered... ignoring Zuber's question...

"Ya cause I am a girl right!" Sanjana flared at Verma...

Verma threw away the aviators... "Haan... Sakshi bhi mard hai na!"

"Toh why is Sakshi getting every privilege haan? Koi superwoman hai kya? Main kuch kar kyun nahi sakti?" Sanjana retorted and sat down...

Verma flicked away a tear and sat next to Sanjana... Zuber just looked on at the two of them... "Who told you ki she is a superwoman? Kisne kaha usse dard nahi hota? Who told you all this crap?" Verma asked Sanjana...

"I don't know Verma... par woh sab kuch karti hai... aur uss Arjun... pata nahi... my head is blasting!" Sanjana said in anger...

Zuber gritted his teeth... "Bolo Zuber sahab... aapko bhi kuch kehna hai?" Verma said..

"Kapoor kab..." Zuber asked to be cut off by Verma...

"In a few hours... Sakshi ne baat kar li hai..." Verma said and walked off...

Verma stood at a corner and looked at the two of them... "Zuber... at least you know your Fantush... trust me... she isn't as strong in the heart as she seems to be... she isn't miss powerful... ghaltia hui hai... which explains the mark on her abdomen... time will tell..."

"But that still doesn't suffice what happened there..." Zuber said...

Verma clicked the tongue in sheer annoyance... "Zuber... aap ek achcha agent ban sakte the... but you know your problem? You jump into conclusions without knowing anything much... waise sab kuch kaise hua how do you know?"

Zuber and Sanjana just raised their eyebrows at Verma...

"As expected.. Simran... yeh ladki kuch zyaada hi bakti hai..." Verma said...

Slipping on aviators Verma walked out of the house banging the door close...

Sanjana became angry when Verma came in again... "Sanjana... in 10 days... get me every information you have about the tea vendor in front of Arjun's house... can do that?"

"Main koi orders nahi lene waali hoon... is it going to help me avenge my dad's death Verma?" She asked...

"If I had nothing to do with helping you avenge your dad's death... trust me... I wouldn't have been here in the first place..." Verma banged the door and left...

A man inserted an injection into his superficial vein on the humerus... within a few minutes everything became clearer... much more understandable...he finally could think...

"What the hell did I do?" he cursed himself...

"Oh Lord..." he held his head... wait... how come he felt dizzy...

Walking into his private hideout he started working upon several things.. he had been doing it for months...

Scratching out some several points he had made... and boy... setting up the informer and making sure he's tracked... he did have to pay a heavy price for it...

Hehe... he didn't anticipate getting drugged in the first place!

Looking at the photos he had placed in the soft board above he just took in a deep breath... some things never leave... true... he wouldn't get peace... but at least.. that man deserved this pain...

Phew... he and his erratic plans...

Erratic... that equals KV... he could barely forget what they had done in the first place... way too smart...

Sitting on the wooden desk he cleared out the old papers and started filing new ones...

"Hmm..." he thought... keeping a pencil in between his lips... when it burned...

He spat out the pencil.. what the hell... rubbing his lips he stared at mirror...

Looking at the mirror every faded memory came into his mind...

Sh*t... why did this happen?

Sameer sat on his desk and opened The Times Of India... "Oh no!" he said and swore looking at the headlines... Shree came bursting into his cabin... his face showed that he had read it as well... "Mumbai tickets done sir..." Shree somehow answered and sat on the sofa...

Sakshi placed her hands onto her hips and a shooting pain went up her body... aah.. those bruises... she closed her eyes and felt his warm hands running through her body... his face nuzzling on her neck... she shivered and shook her head off in a failed attempt to fight off thinking about him... she needed them... especially one person...

She dialed a number... "Kappy... please... help..." she croaked... "Don't worry... am coming to Mumbai..." Kapoor answered and placed the call.. for some damn reason every plan went off the window...

And suddenly someone tapped on her shoulder...

"Kappy?" she smiled and hugged Kappy tightly...

"Kaisa hai mera bachcha?" Kissing her hair fondly...

Well that is what Sakshi thought would be the reaction...

But rather found a furious Kappy staring at her right in the eye...

"Where's Verma?" Kappy snapped at Sakshi...

"Here!" Verma answered...

Kappy sat down in anger... "Kappy kya.." Sakshi started...

"Call me Kapoor, Miss. Anand... I didn't expect this from you... aur Verma tu? You know that before Sakshi, Verma should be there na? What the hell happened in the room?" Kapoor barked at the two of them...

Sakshi removed a strand of hair aside... "Kappy... please yaar..." she said..

"Shut up Sakshi... I just want to speak to Verma..." Kapoor snapped at her...

"So Verma... the intelligent freak.. what the f*** happened to your "intelligence"? How the hell did Arjun even dare to touch Sakshi like that?" Kapoor glared at Sakshi...

"Kap..." Sakshi started to be cut off by Kapoor...

"Sakshi... what is it? Are you getting desperate ki Arjun nahi mil raha hai toh voh jo bhi kare tu allow kar de? He does love his dead wife... so out of emotion let him do anything you will accept? Itni desper.."

"Shut up KAPOOR!" Sakshi shouted...

"Are you crazy... out of your mind... what the hell is wrong with you?" Sakshi fumed...

"Why didn't you say the same f****** thing to Arjun? Or you would wait for him to f*** you before marriage!" Kapoor spat out...

"Kapppy... shut up... you are crossing your limit!" Verma stepped in between...

"Oh ya... what about Rawte crossing the limit? Or rather this female allowing him to do anything!" Kapoor snapped

"Verma... bachpan se uski khayal meri zimmedaari hai.. I can't let her go loose like this! I can't even believe Arjun itna gir kaise sakta hai... I can't even believe that he's the same cop jiske liye I worked, without even telling you... he was that efficient!" Kapoor sighed and sat down...

"And you Sakshi.. my brave one... tune hamesha sab kuch sahi ki hai... damn it... for your brother you made yourself a victim of organ racket... thank God I reached on time... warna toh... aur yaha anyone strips you off your clothing tujhe kuch padi hi nahi hai... rather you lean in for a kiss!" Kapoor heaved in anger and tears...

"Kappy... I am sorry... aur haan... it's not anyone.. it was Arjun aur..." Kapoor does not let her complete...

"Toh kya woh pati lagta hai tumhara? Pati ka bhi haq nahi hota... and don't give me the pyaar wala sh*t dialogue... I see my love every day in front of my eyes... choo ke bhi chu nahi sakta... tum kya samjhogi Sakshi..." Kapoor hissed in frustration...

"Kaps... let me complete... not the fact that it was Arjun... it was that he was not in his senses..." Sakshi said...

"What?" Kapoor asked shocked

"Haan Kappy... warna soch... joh insaan apni biwi ki death anniversary main bhi rota nahi... woh phoot phoot ke sabke saamne ro parta hai Sakshi ko dekh kar... matlab woh Roshni hoti toh samaj main aata... aur... then he turns wild... aur pagalon ke tarha behave karna... kapre phaadna... yeh sirf ek.." Verma explained...

"Drug induced man kar sakta hai..." Kapoor completed...

"Par Sakshi tuje kaise pata chala..." Kapoor asked...

"Thanks to our famous ya infamous kiss!" She gave a sarcastic smile...

Looking at Kapoor's confusion she continued... "When he shoved his tongue in my mouth..." to see Kapoor glaring at her...

"Heights of this... you guys made out?" Kapoor asked...

"It was far from romantic Kappy... just listen.. I found his mouth to be excessively dry... in spite of gulping water... his mouth... it tasted of something.. slightly bitter... slightly spicy... his head whizzed while he was speaking to me... half the time he asked questions aur jawaab dene se pehle he used to shut me up... or shout... and then he kept on holding me as if he would slip and fall..." Sakshi stopped to take a breathe...

"And rather the situation was like this... he kept on telling me that I am leaving him... I kept on repeating I am not... and when I just said that I should die... he kissed me... aur ripping my shirt off... main khud usse do teen maarti par his eyes told me another story... woh baat kar sakta tha.. but he barely gave any answers to my questions... and after he became quiet on hearing Sikandar's name... that confirmed that he is not in his senses..." Sakshi became quiet...

"Aur waise bhi... main Roshni toh nahi jo mujhe dekh ke chum le!" Sakshi said with a wry smile...

Kapoor gave a small laugh... "Waise... kaunsa drug tha?" Kappy asked...

"Well.. mujhe nahi pata... Verma should have kissed Arjun then!" Sakshi joked...

"Haha... yehi baaki tha... Arjun heartfail se marr jaata..." Kapoor smiled...

"Aur kitne baar marega?" Sakshi said softly and settled beside Kapoor... Verma handed over a cup of steaming chai...

"Jitna baar ek insaan marrta hai... ek hi baar.." Kapoor answered...

"You are right Kappy..." Verma said...

"Par tu itna sure kaise ki Arjun zinda hai?" Verma asked... Sakshi silently kept the tea aside...

"Verma... yeh tu hi hai na... arrey Arjun kaun hai... Samrat Anand ka number one... ok tied up with Rathore... and after them who joined?" Kapoor asked...

Verma drank the tea and suddenly jerked... "Kappy... mil gaya..."

"Kaun?" Kapoor asked...

"Drug... it is one of the most simple thing... Nutmeg..." Verma said..

"Par isme hallucinations aate hai na.. how did he end up with Sakshi like that.." Kapoor asked...

"I have the answer!" Sakshi said...

"One... he must have thought I am Roshni... aur two... I was stupid and let him do what he wants..." she laughed... her tears slightly brimming in her eyes...

Kapoor hugged her tightly... "Kappy... main itna confused kyun hoon?" Sakshi sobbed... "Dekh... rone ke samay aasoon bhi nahi aate... kya phooti kismat hai... aur Arjun... main chain se baith toh nahi sakta jab tak na main usse dekh loon..." she hugged Kapoor tightly...

"Tu... itna mohabbat... Arjun se kyun karti hai? Woh shayad tujhe waapas pyaar bhi na kare..." Kapoor said...

"Kapoor... shayad mere paas waqt bhi nahi kisi aur se dil lagaane ka... jab main marr javungi toh kisi ko dil main utna chot nahi lagega!" Sakshi smiled...

Kapoor sighed and looked at the waves in front... Sakshi too looked ahead... "Kabhi Kappy... I don't know who I am... sometimes strong and an awesome investigator... sometimes a pure blonde... sometimes hardcore romantic... sometimes tough... sometimes weak.. main kya hoon Kapoor... mujhe khud pata nahi!"

Kapoor caught her hand... "Mera bachca... you know what... tu har baar woh personality create ki hai which makes you fit into the situation... don't do that... for once just be who you are... Maya jaisi kyun ban rahi hai... yeh bubbly thing... movie freak - yeh toh Maya ki trait thi na...itna miss karti hai ki uske jaise ban rahi hai... where is that silent reserve Sakshi Anand?"

Verma got up at the mention of Maya "Kappy main.." Kapoor nodded... "Jaa... par Sakshi ka khayal rak..."

Bidding a bye to Sakshi as well Kapoor walked in the other direction... "Rawte... nikal aao... itne jald maroge toh kaise ho sakta hai... aur Sakshi... kya hai yeh..."

Strange... "My love is in front... aur I can't do anything... she loves you a lot... but you don't love her... anyways... main thodi na Mumbai main hoon to solve love issues... let everything take place... waise plan is setting up..." Kapoor sighed and kicked a stone in front...

The man stared in front of the mirror... his lips... they had a small cut on them...

Every memory hit his head hard... "Oh God... yeh.. aise..." he cursed as he remembered everything...

"Drug... it's so not a good thing... par main usse kya kahoonga.. that I didn't mean it... sh*t..."He ruffled his hair and sat on his desk again...

Sipping on his cutting chai he looked at the names in front...

Sikandar, KV...

He took the photo in front into his grip.. "Mere kuch hone se sabko farak aata hai... aur agar issme KV nikal aaye.. toh tab kuch aata hai..."

He took out a timeline...

2 weeks in November - his informer rejects to send further information...

December - death of ETF

• Liza too attacked... but saved... as she was saved by KV...
• Helping Liza and me...
• In short attached to me...

Scratching his head he thought...

"Bas... jab mere ifaazat in sab ki problem hai... toh marr hi javunga.. so phir sab khilaadi saamne ayenge..." he grinned and scratched his stubble...

"Sakshi I am so sorry... I shouldn't have kissed you..." he sighed... and guiltily looked at Roshni's picture in front...

As the mirror reflected a stressed and tired Arjun...

he smiled a little... "Cliched that I am alive na? Well... ab aur kitne din se intezaar ho javun Sikandar ke aane se... if he can be anonymous... then I can fake death right?"

When something clicked in his head... "KV... they are undercover experts... kab.. kab... I have read something similar to their plans..."

He opened a file and read the undercover methods that he had noted down... "messages, hide and seek... wait wait wait..." he thought..

"Agar yeh mujhe follow kar rahe hai so let me check how are they doing that... cause through them can I reach Sikandar then... kyunki mujhe Sikandar pata hai... aur un logo ko uska astitva..." he thought...

Opening his laptop he accessed every information that was put up about him... not just the net but track records as well... and surprisingly only the Academy... that too the duration where he was with Samrat sir... and the history of Academy was frequently checked... it was impossible to find that who checked.. for this he needed to revive his old informer... his favorite one...

Running towards the Academy... he reached within 15 minutes... sliding through the door he quietly entered and ran out with his decade's year book...

And his eyes picked upon a slight information on the two years after he passed out.. using a slight tissue and water he dipped it on the page... and the dry ink dissolved.. and the changed part remained as it was written with a waterproof gel pen...

165 was changed to 163... "Strange... isme hi 2 log kam hai... aur KV bhi do insaan hai... should I take it as a coincidence... aur gel pen... waterproof was introduced in 2010 aur yeh toh early 2000's ki journal hai... aisi kya baat aayi ki number change karna pada? The funny thing is that I don't believe in co-incidences..."

He called up his informer... "Suno.. I need to know ki 2001 se 2009 ke beech all those passed out from Academy in Navi Mumbai... kaha kaha posting hui hai... 72 hours... thanks... waise you do act pretty well..."

"Chalo KV... ab apna senior se milne ka waqt ho chuka hai..." Arjun grinned and twirled his chair..

"Kya Dead Body... aise kya ghoor rahi hai... hoon na main smart... tui o na... (tu bhi na) chal... goodnight jaan e mann... kal subah baat karoonga..." he left kissing the picture of his lover...

No guesses now for who was the true informer of Arjun... and how did he get chance at the ETF...
