Chapter 5

"rawte, rawte"

Arjun snapped out of his shock hearing rathore's voice. By the time, a doctor and another nurse also entered the room. seeing the doctor, riya paled and forgetting about herself, she hid behind arjun. Arjun notices this but does'nt say anything. With a storm in his heart, but a calm expression on his face, he simply said "the guy was attempting to inject something into me. since, I knew that it was'nt the time for the medicine I hit him."

Rathore (in an incredulous voice): you punched him to the wall lying on the bed.

Arj: I am just injured rathore not handicapped. Now instead of staring at me arrest this person. he was definitely upto something.

Sam: what was he upto we will find out now.

He picked the person by the scruff of his shirt, hauled him upto the sofa and threw the jug of water on him. rajesh came into consciousness screaming "bhoot, bhoot." Sameer slapped him out of his hysteria and said "there is no ghost. Now tell us what were you doing in this room?" the door suddenly closed and everyone turned to see the doctor near the door. But arjun saw riya holding the door close as the doctor attempted to slyly open the door. He marched upto the doctor and said "you are also involved in this. are'nt you?" the doctor shook his head but as arjun tightened his grip on his neck he nodded. He said "now tell. Why did you want me?"

Sam: not here rawte, lets take them to the ETF office.

Arj: fine, I am also coming.

Sak: but arjun you still need rest. We will call you when we have done the interrogation.

Sakshi quietens down under arjun's glare. They take both the doctor and rajesh to the ETF office. Arjun enters the office to the gasp of everyone and sees riya standing there. She walks towards him hesitantly. As she reaches near him, he grabs her hand. Startled, she looks at him and he said "you are not leaving. Samjhe ya samjhau?" she nods her head slowly.

At the interrogation room,

Arj: so tell us, what was your plan?

Both the doctor and rajesh kept silent.

Sam: what happened? Where is your voice?

Arj: seems like rathore, they won't tell us like this.

He grabs the scruff of the doctor's shirt. The doctor calmly looks at him and said "you don't know what you could have become. If only you had been asleep."

Arj: so it seems that you had a greater purpose planned for me. now do tell me what is my greater purpose?

Doc: how did you get up from the sleep by the way and have the strength to flung rajesh to the wall. From the injection I had given you earlier you would have been at least groggy.

Raj: arre, doc it was not him. there was a ghost in that room.

Sam: stop saying lies. Why did you want to kidnap arjun?

Doc: kidnap him? what purpose would I have in kidnapping him? I wanted him dead.

Riya's hands curled into fists. She is trying to control her anger but it was difficult for her.

Arj: how much people did you kidnap?

Doc: oh around 10 or 20.

Everyone seeing the interrogation starting feeling disgust and fear for those people.

Sam: how much of you are there?

Doc: oh there are lots of us. and our purpose is almost fulfilled.

Arj: you did'nt say, what was your purpose?

Doctor leaned in and gestured to both of them to come near. He whispered "to create immortality."

Arj: and how do you plan to achieve that?

Doc: oh I already made the cure. I just wanted to test it on you.

Arjun then went outside and came into the interrogation room. everyone saw that he had a picture in his hand. he showed the picture to the doctor and said "did you kidnap her also?"

Doctor smiles seeing the picture and said "ahh, she is special. She will be the symbol of the success of my experiment. My daughter, my riya."

Arjun looks shocked at riya to see the disgust in her eyes. Sameer stilled as shree and chotu controlled their anger but in the end aisha, liza and sakshi had to stop them from entering the room.

Sam: riya is your daughter?

Doc: of course she is my daughter. I created her.

Arj: where is she?

Sameer looks at arjun and understood what he is implying.

Arj: I am asking where is she?

Doc: no, I am not going to tell you. she is undergoing the experiment and when she emerges she will be the symbol of my success.

Ri( in a choked voice): tell him I am dying.

Arjun looks at riya with shock but said to her father "your experiment is not becoming successful. She is dying."

Doctor shook his head and said "no, I know what I am doing. She is not going to die. She is my daughter."

Arj: do you think I am telling a lie. She is standing right behind you with tears in her eyes.

Sameer looked at arjun in shock. He caught arjun's shoulder and said "arjun have you gone mad?"

Arj: I don't know whether I have gone mad. I just know that I see riya standing in front of me. she is real to me. now tell me where is she?"

Doc: NO, I am not going to tolerate failure. She is going to be the symbol of success. My success.

And he started to laugh maniacally with rajesh now looking at him with a scared expression. arjun and sameer frustrated walked out of the room.
