After finishing their dinner Kapoor made Verma listen to the entire explanation as to why did this small charade take place (given in the beginning of ch 31/32)...

Verma smirked at Kappy's brilliance...

Suddenly Kappy noticed a message and said "Listen... Liza aur Simran bahar jaa rahi hai... so I am going on a lookout for them, then I will go to Delhi... aur tu... back to helping Rawte eh?" Kappy looked at a smiling Verma...

"Haan... par Rawte tujhe full on ullu bana raha hai... I am sure he knows that someone is helping him toh iss mauka ka fayda le raha hai... smart kahika!" Verma complained...

"Waise bhi... what about Rathore and Sen?" Verma continued...

Kapoor gave a small sad smile "Devdas ban gaye... dono ke dono..."

Verma frowned "Un logo ko pata chal gaya? Kab? Toh phir Rawte abhi tak aaya kyun nahi?"

"Welll they got to know 4 days after the attack about the team and Liza..." Kapoor said...

"Char din baad? Itni deri se kyun bataya... see both of us know very well ki ETF kaam kaise karta hai... kisi bhi department main kuch bhi ho jaye toh they should have informed all the other branched within 24 hours!" Verma exclaimed...

"Not only that but also they should have called Rathore to Mumbai to investigate kyunki woh team ko jaanta tha... Kappy issme kuch ghotala hai... jo dikh raha hai woh hai nahi... andar se koi mila hua hai... jo Sikandar ko bhi cover kar raha hai..." Verma said...

"Waise I told Rathore abt Ayesha..." Kapoor said...

"Oh par uski mauth.." Verma said...

"Nope that she was Sikandar's agent..." Kapoor replied...

"WTH... aur phir?" Verma looked at Kapoor in shock...

"Nope... that's it.." Kapoor said softly...

"Are you out of your mind! Poori baat kyun nahi ki... ab Rathore ko toh... wo toh toot chuka hoga..." Verma reasoned

"I know Verma... but as of now the fuel of anger will keep him on track... for now I will find out as to why Sikandar is so silent... aur tu.. you know what you have to do..."

"Waise Sikandar pe koi khabar?" Kapoor asked...

"Hmm... hulchul toh mach rahi hai but then... thoda restlessness is there in the air..." Verma inspected...

"Oye - sher aur shayri dimaag main rakh... chal bye... ab toh shaayad mulakaat kuch din baad hoga..." Kapoor hugged Verma and left...

"Verma... even I agree with... there is something... a quietness... which is nothing but an indication of the upcoming storm..." Kapoor contemplated...

Kapoor walked out to see Sakshi standing on the door... "Wo.. woh main Arjun ko madat karoongi from now..." she whispered...

Hmm.. so Verma and Sakshi have exchanged places.. not an unknown fact...

"Verma?" Kapoor asked...

"Woh.. I said na..." Sakshi said and then slowly approached towards Kappy...

"Kappy?" she called softly...

"Hmm?" Kapoor answered...

Sakshi hugged Kappoy tight and cried... "I am..."

Kappy had tears of happiness.. pulling Sakshi in tighter... gently parted and placed a kiss on her forehead...

"Meri daredevil... meri jaan... don't... please... now you know what to do... but just be careful... handling Rawte... it won't be easy... he can do anything to you...in spite of the fact tha he maybe feels for you..." Kappy advised a sobbing Sakshi...

She just nodded her head and let her face be cupped by Kappy...

"Sakku..." Kappy called lovingly...

"Hmm Kaps..." she answered...

"You look like my perfect stupid daredevil... fluffy, chubby and cute... I love you dear... khayal rakh apna... agar kuch bhi hua then I am back with the first flight... samjhi? Stupid you..." Kappy caressed her cheek...

"Main stupid nahin hoon... tu hai... duniya main first undercover agent who tells their family that you are undercover hai - kya logic hai issme?" Sakshi complained while fiddling with the zip of the jacket...

"Drama Queen... are you done... I'll be going.. stay strong sweetie..." Kappy hugged Sakshi and left...

Praying the God above for the best to come while Sakshi waved a bye...

"Matlab.." Sikandar said but continued checking his gun...

"Matlab bhao - udhar main Arjun ko chod ke sabko upar pohochaadiya... phir khud case main gir gaya... aur waha Liza ke ghar main bhi blast hua par..." Thapar informed...

"Bolo... ruk ruk ke kya baat kar raha hai?" Sikandar scowled...

"Phir Bhao sab badal gaya - ek toh Liza ke saath woh launde jisko rent pe liye the woh bhi mar gaye... phir woh Arjun Rawte ne apne aap ko case se rafa dafa kar liya... aur nahi koi usse mila... aur waha Sameer aur woh dusra chokra Devdas banke beithe hue hai... kahi pe bhi koi aur... kisika milna na milna... aisa kuch bhi information nahi mil rahi hai..." Thapar told a grim Sikandar...

Sikandar quietly moved to the other room where there were huge computer screens monitoring the tracking of every informer - not only his...

"Thapar.. yeh informers jo Arjun Rawte ke paas hai - yeh pichle ek hafte se stagnant kyun hai?" Sikandar peered into the screen...

"Bhao koi informatio..."

"Shut up Thapar! They are dead..." SIkandar scowled...

"Bhao, it's impossible..." Thapar replied exasperated...

"Aah.. Impossible is nothing - especially if it concerns Arjun Rawte!" Sikandar yelled...

"Thapar... you idiot... ab tak samaj main nahi aaya?" Sikandar whispered in a deathly cold tone to Thapar...

"Chal samjhata hoon... Arjun Rawte ko koi bhi milne nahi aaya..

Point one.. kyun? Arjun Rawte ne khud kisi se nahi mila... case toh woh solve karta - obvious it is... maine waise bhi Waghmare ko front pe rakha tha...

Point two : Liza ke saath woh bande marr kaise gaye? Aisa sirf aur sirf ho sakta hai agar kissine un sab ko marwaya hoga...

Point three : Rawte ke waha se woh informers ek hi baat keh rahe hai... ki haan sab theek hai... aur database main these guys are stagnant... aur isska matlab hai ki woh sab marre hue hai..." Sikandar growled...

"Bhao... iska matlab woh Verma Kapoor... woh joh humne socha tha... woh dono asliyat main hai..." Thapar told...

"Hmm... aur yeh hi nahi woh log shaatir hai... itna ki mera har chaal ko jaante hai... kuch toh choot raha hai... yeh kaise... aur Mumbai main jo informer thi... uska bhi the end ho gaya... as usual..." Sikander said...

"Sir woh ETF member thi... naam waise nahi pata..." Thapar said...

"Woh.. ETF member... yeh plan main nahi tha... yeh kaise ho sakta hai... aagh! We are being made a fool out here!!! Ab toh ek hi target... twenty days... main jaakar Indonesia, Malaysia aur Russia se drug shipment fix karta hoon... aur tum... you know what to do.. in twenty days... exactly... not a day before... not a day afterwards... ETF Delhi... exactly - jissme Sameer Rathore aur Shreekant Sen hai - it should not exist... baakio ka dhoondna..." Sikandar ordered...

"Done bhao." Thapar agreed...

"Issme naya kya hai Sakshi... waqt mile hi tu chali jaati hai uske paas..." Verma chuckled...

"Shut up!" Sakshi outed and got her preparations ready...

Verma just smiled while Sakshi prepared herself.. there was nothing much... truly... just that Sakshi was looking for the informers...

Happiness, confusion, perplexity on one side... but then when it came to matters in hand... she can't be lost in la la land...

Arjun woke up with the sound of a car...

Simran had returned...

"Hey Arjun! Hi Karan!" she chirped in the minute she walked in...

"Simmi.. ek baar call bhi nahi ki? Raat ko 11 baj rahe hai! Tu toh hi hi main time pass kar rahi hai! Pata hai humari jaan chooti jaa rahi thi! Main kya.. Arjun bhi jaga hua tha!" Karan hounded Simran with questions...

And Simran just turned the face towards Arjun who just got up...

Karan thought "Saale... koi bhi waqt pe tu sota nahi! Aaj falooda bana diya na mera!" "Toh kya Simmi - mentally he was thinking!" Karan justified...

Arjun walked over to stop the scuffle when he noticed the scarf and shirt that Simmi was wearing...

Previously he was so occupied that he didn't even notice that... but now he did...

He gaped at the plane light blue scarf... made of pure cotton... "Yeh kaise ho sakta hai..." he whispered...

Then he looked at the pale yellow colored cotton shirt that she was wearing... "Yeh toh Sakshi..." he thought... the day she was shot...

He grabbed Simran by the arm and turned her aside... "Oye Shera..." Karan started but Arjun showed him a hand...

On the left side... near the upper arm there was an area on the sleeve that was patched up...

Arjun gasped looking at that...

It was the place where Sakshi was shot...

"Yeh shirt tumhe kab mila? Kaha?" Arjun asked Simran...

"Shera... yeh kya ho raha hai? Mere dimaag se sab fisal raha hai..." Karan complained...

"Karan... yeh Sakshi ka shirt hai... I know... left upper arm main this area is patched up... like obvious... she was shot there..." Arjun explained...

"Yeh meri shirt hai Arjun... thora dheela but it's mine... I got this day before yesterday..." Simran protested...

"Jhoot! Mujhe jhoot se sakht nafrat hai! Yeh shirt dheela toh ho ga hi! Kyunki yeh tumhari size hi nahi hai! Sakshi roughly might be size 8 or 10... aur tum toh shayad 6 - 8 size main ho Simran... sach main batao... kisne diya yeh... kab... dekho yeh mat bhoolo ki main ek police waala tha... get that!" Arjun barked at Simran...

"Simmi... kyun baatein bana rahi hai? Kisne diya?" Karan prodded Simran...

"Dost ne.." Simran said...

"Dost?" Arjun and Karan asked confused...

"Haan... ek baar meri madat ki thi usne... woh ek producer mera... u know... film line main kya... so she saved me from that producer... tabse main aur Vani best friends hai... hum milte nahi - par sometimes we leave notes for each other... jab waqt milta hai to par leti hoon... and usually she leaves a gift for me... hamesha... woh humesha kurti pehenti hai na... so often if I like any one of them... then I tell her... she buys for me... ya she gives me her own... bas... main bhi uss ke liye khareed ta hoon... especially on her birthday... I had bought a really expensive bangle for her... waha ke uncle knew me toh he gave me one bangle free..." Simran completed in one breath then stood quiet and took deep breath...

Arjun and Karan gaped at her...

Suddenly they heard someone...

"Arjun... dost wost chod... pehle chupte hai... well wisher shaayad..." Karan said...

Simran proceeded to her own room while Arjun went to his... keeping a watch on the door... Karan too stood aside...

"Empty... too empty..." the person thought...

"Chal Karan... main sone jaa raha hoon... kal baat karunga..." Arjun said - a little loudly for the person to hear...

It was a futile attempt... entire night Karan Arjun waited but there was no one in sight...

Karan and Arjun literally signed off for the day...

Many questions pondered in his head... especially Arjun's... but none had any answer... after the message of an informer of Sikander being here... their well wisher was supposed to be here... any moment... any time...

Next early morning...

Arjun woke up, it was 3.30... well he barely slept in the first place... wearing tracks he stepped out of the place... for some reason his heart was betraying him... he felt nauseous... uneasy... restless... he got an ESP that something was going to happen...

If he just knew how true it was...

Giving three rounds in the alley... Arjun was sure that the presence he felt.. of someone watching him... that had disappeared...

A light shower had begun... and in front he could see the moment when he and Sakshi were standing near the tea stall...

Where he had locked his hand with hers... and asked her...

Flashback

As she took a hand to hit him he caught it and said "Toh tum mujhse nafrat nahi karti?"

Struggling to release her hand "Oh God Arjun abhi abhi ek lambi speech di! Aur yeh tumhare haath hai ya Thakur ke hath... phaasi ka phanda... kabhi nahi khulta!.."

"Haan ki na?" he enquired

"Obviously na! Maana tum utne theek thak nahi ho" Arjun raised an eyebrow "Par tumse nafrat nahi karti main." she completed giving her trademark smile...

He looked straight into her eyes and rubbed his thumb over her knuckles "Agar nafrat nahi toh kya karti ho mujhse?" he said softly

She stared into his hypnotic eyes...

He stared intently into her deep brown ones, something had changed in her and he needed to find that out.

"Arjun yeh kya kar rahe ho... kyun mere paas aana chahte ho? Yeh waqt sahi nahi.. tum kuch nahi jaante... jab jaano gey toh in aankhon ke nafrat nahi le pavungi main..." her heart screamed but she remained numb as her tears started forming...

He saw the light disappearing from her face... tears were coming... she seemed frozen... "Arjun soch... kuch toh hai..." his cop mind kicked him... ever since a month she became even more reserved... his other hand softly wiped her tears... his hand was still locked in hers... "ssh.. Sakshi... no more crying..." he gently whispered... he could feel her cheeks heat up... he slowly neared her face.. when the lightning hit...again...

Arjun stepped out from flashback as he tripped on a stone and fell on his face...

Wiping the mud on his cheek he walked back home - the garage... something was wrong...

To prove that... he got a message from Karan... "Pakad liya... jald hi aaja..."

Arjun ran back to the garage... they had kept specific items in the garage that would be touched surely in their absence... one of them was the notebook by Arjun... he kept it specifically open in the page where the name Sikandar was written... on the other page a bookmark was there... in fact it was a small electric shocker that would paralyze the person for 60 seconds... in that an alarm would be rung as well...

Hence I guess that is how Karan caught the informer... well curiosity kills the cat... Arjun was sure that the informer would behave in this manner...

But her memories hit him hard... he didn't know why... her smiles were eating him alive... literally... for the basic reason.. for one day that he accepted that she is dead... the effect of that is falling on the other day... their intimacy... he felt different...

The minute he walked in he found Karan - but with a few bruises... "Shera... isse pakadne main.. bohot...mushkil... kya stamina.." Karan panted and Arjun walked forward ... Karan seemed hesitant... though Arjun couldn't think why...
