CHAPTER 7:

Sameer stayed quiet for a moment but then he stood up. Aisha also stood up with him.

Sameer: Yeh ghatna kab hua?

Aisha: Sir lagbag 3 ghante pehle.

Sameer nodded. His face was hard.

Like a storm he went to the conference room and called everyone. He was standing in his place. When everyone assembled he dropped the bomb.

Sameer: With a heavy heart I am declaring the death of ex army major and our mentor Mr. Mohit Chopra.

All became quite. He was a brave and honest person. He was the chief of Mumbai Police Academy. Every person who came in touch with him will never forget him. He was known as iron man. Shree, Aisha and Chotu were his student but for Sameer and Arjun? They were made by him. They had taken training under him personally. After a few minutes Shree spoke up.

Shree: Sir how...

Sameer gritted his teeth.

Sameer: He had been burned alive.

That shook them to the core. Blind rage filled their veins.

Arjun banged his fist in the table. Their eyes became filled with hot tears.

Arjun: We are going to the spot now.

Sameer: I think we should solve the case first.

Arjun lost the remaining temper he had.

Arjun: Just let the case go to hell. There are other team who can solve it. We are going there now.

Sameer just nodded in agreement.

In two hours they reached the crime spot. Whole house had been burned down. They couldn't control the tears that blurred their visions. In midst of that they searched for the remaining of Mr. Chopra. It took them almost four hours but they found the body anyway. But what shocked them was another body. It was definitely a woman.

They send the bodies to postmortem. After examining they declared that both the victims had to go through unbearable torture and then they had been burned alive. Whole team tried their best but couldn't get hold on a single clue. Minister had given them three days to solve the case and then the case will be closed. It was their last day. They had only three hours left. Everybody was exhausted, frustrated and angry. They were sitting in the conference room. They were discussing the case from the beginning when an old memory struck Sameer's mind.

Sameer: Oye Arjun hamne ek bohoti important bat ko puri tarahse ignore kar dya.

All looked up to his face. Arjun frowned.

Arjun: Kya?

Sameer: Sir ka ek beta tha na?

Then it hit Arjun. Yes he had a son. They don't know his name. They never saw him. But their sir mentioned him once.

Arjun banged the table hard.

Arjun: Yes. Itna important clue ham kaise bhul gye!! But sir ke death heu teen din ho gye hai. Ussne hamse contact karneki koushish kiyu nehi ki?

Shree: Shyed usse abhi tak iss bat ka apta hi nehi chala ho?

Ayesha nodded her head.

Ayesha: Aisa nehi ho sakta. Sare newspaper mein headline pe aya hai yeh news. Shyed woh kisi musibat mein ho?

Sameer: Nehi. Agar aisa hota to hame pata jarur chalta. Koi na koi khabar hame jarur milta. Chotu, Shree, Ayesha apne sare khabrio ko alert kar do. Pata lagao woh aab kaha hai..

Shree, Chotu, Ayesha (in unison): Yes sir.

Two hours passed like this. Still they got no news of their mentor's son. As if he doesn't exist.

Sameer: Damn it. Aisa kaise ho sakta hai? Ek admi aise hawa mein kaise ud jata hai? Aisa lag raha hai jaise woh exist hi nehi karta.

Arjun: Aur to aur sir ke ghar ya kahi aurse bhi hame ek clue tak nehi mila. Aisa kaise ho sakta hai?

Chotu: Shyed sir ke sath unke bete ka jhagra hua ho aur gusse mein akar ussne sabkuch mita dia ho?

Suddenly a voice boomed from the door.

Voice: Kya bate ho rahi hai?

They all looked and find Mr. Rrawte standing there.

Mr. Rawte: Pechle teen din se ghar nehi gya. Bas phone pe do teen line bat karta hai. Teri ma pareshan ho rahi thi. Aaj aur unse raha nehi gya. Isslye jabardasti mujhe bhej dya. Kya main andar aa sakta ho?

Everybody got up from their seat.

Sameer: Arre chote papa aap? Aye na?

Mr. Rawte came inside and took a seat. They described the case to him and also the fact of the son.

Mr. Rawte: Ek bap chahe kitna bhi naraj kiyu na ho jye woh apne bete ki koi bhi cheez kabhi nehi matyega unless.

Once he realized he got everybody's attention he resumed.

Mr. Rawte: Unless he know that his son is in danger. The mere existence of his can kill him.. (turning to Sameer).. Socho tumhara ek beta hai. E louta aulad. Bin ma ka baccha hai. Phir rk din tumhe pata chalta hai ki ek bohot bada dushman tumhare peche pade hue hai. Woh tumhare sath sath tumhare bete ko bhi mar dega. Dunya ki koi bhi shakti tumdonoko nehi bacha sakta. Tab tum kya karogi?

Sameer didn't even think before replying. The reply came in instant.

Sameer: Main usse chupa dunga. Dunya ke panno mein se usske sare nishan mita dunga. Taki kabhi bhi kisiko bhanak tak na lage ki woh mera beta hai.

Mr. Rawte: Correct.

They it dawned to everybody.

Mr. Rawte: Tumhara mentor ek genius tha. Usse malum tha ki dushman usse jarur dhund lenge. Marnese pehle ussne apne bete ko secured kar dya. Main ek advise doom?

Sameer: Sure chote papa.

Mr. Rawte: Iss case ko yehi close ho jane do. Chupi hui batoko aur mat kheecho. Ek na ek din woh beta wapas jarur ayega. Apne bap ka mout ka badla lene. Tab isse phirse reopen kar dena. But let it rest for now. Because if don't them the son might fall in their target.

Arjun thought for a while. Then one by one he looked at everybody.

Arjun: I think dad is right. What do you think?

When everybody answered affirmatively he called the Commissioner and told him that they couldn't solve the case. The Minister ordered to close the case.

Thus the biggest and scariest case became closed. The incident that shook the whole world became closed in the world's eye. But unknown to others there were people for whom the case will be never closed until they solve it. On one side Sakshi Anand and Prem Chopra. And on the other side team ETF.

Guys.. Now the story is coming into the main track.. Untill the updates u read were just the mere prologue..
