Arakshi SS: Mere Humsfar

Part 14:

Disclaimer: The Characters in my story are inspired from the show but the way the react to different situations are purely my imagination. Any resemblance is purely coincidental.

Saakshi arranged the table and served Arjun his breakfast. In the meantime, she started feeding Shristhi who was trying to find all kinds of reason to skip her breakfast. Saakshi made Shree sit on the table and started telling her stories and feeding her. Arjun was very keenly observing the mother daughter duo while having his breakfast. He had to admit that Saakshi was a wonderful mother and Shree was indeed lucky to have her. Each and everything about Saakshi was very organized and she indeed managed everything very well. The bubbly, chirpy and ready to irritate crime investigative journalist he had known transformed into mature, responsible and lovable mother of Shristhi almost seamlessly.

After about half an hour, they were ready to go the hospital for Arjun's check up. Arjun was about to take the driver's seat only to be stopped by Saakshi

Saakshi: Arjun tum Shree ke saath front seat par baito. Mein drive karoongi.

Arjun: It's ok. I will drive.

Saakshi: Please don't argue. Tum ab bhi teek nahi ho aur jaayda strain nahi kar sakthe. Kal bhi tum rest nahi kar paaye meri wajahse. Issi liye please meri baat mano.

Shristhi: Dost aavo mere saath baito. Don't worry Mama teek tak drive kar lethi hai.(Saakshi stared at Shree) Shree ka matlab tha ki accha drive karthi hain.

Arjun smiled and got into the front seat and made Shree sit on his lap. Soon they started the journey towards the hospital and he had to admit to himself that Saakshi drives very well.

Once they reached the hospital, Saakshi lifted Shree and went to the reception to enquire about the appointment followed by Arjun.

Saakshi: Mera Dr. Mehra ke saath appointment kal fix kiya tha. Kya ab hum unse mil sathe hai?

Receptionist: Sorry Maam. Dr. Mehra ko tho urgent kaam ke wajahse out of town jaana pada. Iss liye unke saare patients aaj Dr. Sharma handle karenge. Aap bhi unse mil saakthe hain. Seedhe jaakar right mein third cabin.

Saakshi: Ok. Thanks a lot.

Saying that they headed towards the doctor's cabin. They entered the cabin after knocking.

Saakshi: Good morning doctor. Mein Saakshi hoon. Meine kal appointment liya tha.

Doctor: Haan haan. Dr. Mehra ne bataaya tha aur mein aap hi ka wait kar raha tha Mrs Rawte.

Saakshi and Arjun were shocked to hear Mrs Rawte from the doctor.

Saakshi: Doctor. Mein Saakshi mera matlab Saakshi Anand aur yeh hain Mr Arjun Rawte mere saath kaam karthe hain.

Doctor: I am really sorry mujhe aap logon ko saath dekar laga ki aap pati patni hain. I apologize once again.

Saakshi: It's Ok doctor. Yeh rahe Arjun ki reports.

She gave the reports to doctor and took their seats. Doctor checked the reports. He checked his wound and provided dressing wherever needed

Part 14 (Continued):

Doctor: Everything is normal. Sirf kuch medications change karne hain aur aaj ek injection lene hain. Other than that there is nothing to worry it will heal gradually and aap ko atleast ek hafte ke liye rest karna hain.

Hearing this Shree who was sitting in Saakshi' lap jumped down.

Shristhi: Doctor uncle mere dost na bahoot ache hain unhe injection mat dena. Please unhe bahoot dard hoga. Please please.

Saakshi: Shree chup raho. Doctor ko unke kaam karne do.

Doctor: Beta aap bilkul fikar mat kar aapki dost ko na jara saa bhi dard nahi hoga.

Shristhi (To Arjun): Aap bilkul math daro Shree aapke saath hain. Woh mama aapko kiss degi injection lagane ke baad tho dard gayab ho jaayega.

Hearing this Saakshi and Arjun were shocked to say the least.

Saakshi: Shree yeh kya bol rahi ho? Tab se dekh rahi hoon bak bak kiye jaa rahi ho. Chup chap yahan aakar beito aur unhe apna kaam karne do. Vo tumhare dost bache nahi hain ki unhe injection se dard hoga. Woh bahoot brave and daring hai unhe dard nahi hoga.

But Shree had not moved a step where she was. Saakshi was about to drag her back but Arjun signalled her to let Shree be. Soon the doctor filled the syringe with medicine and injected him in his upper arm. All through this Shree was standing holding Arjun's other arm. As soon as doctor completed injecting him, Shristhi kissed the same spot.

Shristhi: Dost aapko dard ho raha hai kya?

Arjun: Nahi Shree. Mujhe bilkul dard nahi ho raha hai.

Doctor gave the new medications and Saakshi thanked him and they came out of doctor' cabin. Shristhi was walking in between Arjun and Saakshi holding their hands.

Saakshi: Arjun tum Shree ke saath yehi ruko mein jaakar davaayi lekar aathi hoon.

Arjun nodded and Saakshi left to buy the medicines.

Shristhi was looking here and there observing the surroundings when she saw an elderly man selling ice creams.

Shristhi: Dost wo dekho ice cream mujhe na abhi ke abhi ice cream kaani hain.

Arjun: No Shree. Mama ko aane do agar wo maani to tum zaroor kaa saakthi ho.

Shristhi: Shree ne kaha na abhi ke abhi kaana. Shree Mama ko mana legi vo aapko daantegi nahi. Please please

Arjun: Beta zidd mat karo. Baad mein kaa lo. (To himself): Arjun yeh kahaan fus gaya agar nahi kilaaya tho yehi nahi manegi. Agar ice cream kila diya tho iski maa tho tumhari achi se class legi tumhare hi samjhe ya samjhavun ke saath.

Shree instantly kissed his cheek and pleaded him which left him with no option but to agree. They crossed the road and went to the ice cream cart. She got a big strawberry ice cream and started eating it. It started melting soon and it got sprayed all over her hands as she was unable to manage it. Arjun soon got it from her and started feeding her. Shree wiped her ice cream filled fingers on his shirt. It was only when Arjun stared at her she realized what she had done.

Shristhi: Sorry dost. Shree ne jaan boochkar nahi kiya.(She held her ears) Sorry.

Arjun could never be angry at her when she apologized to him so cutely.

They again went to the car parking where Saakshi was waiting for them.

One look at Saakshi's face anyone could say she was not happy with the proceedings.
