Arjun came back home after Sameer and Meera left.As he entered his house,he sensed the atmosphere was gloomy. He asked Daijaan about it.
''Daijaan,kya hua? Ghar ka mohal itna shaant kyun hai? Riya kahaan hai? Koi aaya thha ghar pe?''
''Beta,Sunbai Padmini ke paas hai.. Woh aaj Padmini beta ko vaccination thha,toh thora bukhar aaya hai..Chinta ki baat nahi hai,beta.. Vaccination ke baad bukhar aana accha hota,isse pata chalta hai ki vaccine kaam kar raha hai.. Accha beta,yeh Sameer Rathore aur Meera Rathore kaun hai? Sunbai ki rishtedaar hai kya?''
Arjun looked up at Daijaan at the mention of Sameer.. He sensed that a fight must have taken place between them.He sighed and answered, ''Daijaan,yeh Sameer Rathore mera colleague hai aur Riya ka bhai bhi.. 6 saal pehle Sameer ne Riya ko uske ghar se nikal diya thha aur aisi sazaa di hai uss ek galti ki jo Riya ne ki hi nahi... Bohut lambi kahani hai,Daijaan.. Fursat se bataunga.. Accha,main Padmini ke kamre mein jata hu.. Aap khana laga dijiye.. Main Riya aur Padmini ko leke aata hu.. Aur kuch zaruri baatein bhi hai..Kal karenge woh baat...''
''Ya Allah... Riya jaisi acchi insaan ko aise kaise sazaa de di usske Bhai ne... Kaher,yeh sab choro.. Sunbai bohut udaas hai..Uske paas jao aur usse baat karo... Thik hai..''
''Hmm..'' Arjun nods and went upstairs towards Padmini's room.. As he entered his daughter's room,he saw a sight that he never wished for.Riya sitting on the floor,curled up and tears were flowing from her eyes,continuously..Silent,muffled sobs escaped from her mouth. He couldnt see his beloved in a broken state... He went near her and sat beside her,taking her in a warm,side hug.Riya snuggled to him more and hugged him tightly and cried her heart out... Arjun carressed her head,gently.
''Jitni koshish karti hu unhe yaad na karne ki,usse bhi zyada woh baatein meri kaano mein bajti rehti hai... Har waqt main apne aapko kehti rehti thi,ki,ekdin woh mujhe maaf kardenge aur mujhe humare ghar le jayenge... Par nahi,uss Sakshi ki wajah se sab barbad hogaya... Unhone sabke samne mujhe mara hua ghoshit kardia.. Sabke samne mujhe dhakke marke bahar nikal diya... Uss ek galti keliye joh maine ki hi nahi... Kyun,Arjun? Aap hi boliye... Mujhe hi kyun mila uss galti ki sazaa,kyun?''
''Riya,kismat pe humare koi dabaav nahi hai.. Wohi hota hai joh naseeb mein likha hota hai... Rathore ne jo kiya,woh bohut galat thha.. Usne mujhe bhi toh saza di thhi,kyunki,usse lagta thha ki maine Sakshi ka dil torh ke tumse shaadi ki,par,sach toh kuch aur hi hai.. Khudko dukh pohuchake mujhe dukhi mat karo.. Pata bhi hai tumhe ki,jab bhi main tumhare aakhon mein aansu dekhta hu,toh,mann karta hai ki uss insaan ki khaal ukhar du jisne tumhare aakho mein aansu diye hai... Chalo,ab jaldi se woh dimple wali smile do,warna,main aur Padmini tumse baat bhi nahi karenge,samjhi ya samjhau?''
Riya smiled,while Arjun wiped her tears,while Padmini clapped her little hands to gain their attention.Arjun stood and picked Padmini and pecked her chubby cheeks,while she giggled and wriggled.Riya also stood up and embraced Arjun and Padmini in a group hug. After a while,both Arjun and Padmini,along with Riya went downstairs to have dinner together,while Daijaan fed Padmini.Riya thanked her Gannu Bhaiya and Kanha ji to bless her with such an understanding husband and such a sweet and adorable daughter along with a caring Daijaan,who loved Riya,just like a mother-in-law would love her daughter-in-law.
Next Morning,
Arjun got up and quickly had his breakfast and rushed towards his office.As he entered his office,his juniors' saluted him and his assistant,ACP of Mumbai Crime Branch,reported him about Commissioner's call for Arjun. Arjun nodded and sat on his chair. After a while,he asked his assistant to handle the work,while he went to meet Sameer Rathore.
ETF Headquarters,Mumbai.
DCP Sameer Rathore was engrossed in deep thoughts.He thought about yesterday's happenings and Riya's outburst.Though he went to meet his sister to apologise for his mistake,but,he had to return back after hearing her outburst. Tears rolled down his cheeks.He was so engrossed in his thoughts,that,he didnt notice Arjun inside his cabin.
''DCP Rathore,its me Arjun..''
Only then,Sameer came out from his thoughts and saw Arjun,sitting opposite to him.They shook their hands and started conversing on case-related informations.
''Rathore,kuch baat karni thhi tumse... Main jaanta hu ki tum kal ghar aaye thhe Riya se milne aur usse maafi maangne... Main yeh bhi jaanta hu ki Riya ne tumpar chillaya bhi thha.. Uska gussa,uski naraazgi bilkul jayaaz hai... Jo hua,woh hona nahi chahiye thha.. Main chahta hu ki tum aur Riya ki beech sulaah hojaye...''
''Tum jaante bhi ho tum kya kehrahe ho? Uske jeeteji yeh mumkin nahi hai... Woh toh mera chehra bhi nahi dekhna chahti hai,sulaah hona toh dur ki baat hai...''
