Chapter 11
Karan walked and stood behind arjun as arjun faced the sea view which the balcony showed.
Kar: you did'nt have to tell riya this arjun.
Arj: I had to karan. It was the right choice.
Kar: the right choice? Arjun did you seriously think that she would believe you that her brother is sikander.
Arj: yes.
Kar: then you made the wrong choice arjun. Because choosing between blood and love the individual will end up choosing blood.
Arj: depends upon the individual karan.
Kar: she is leaving arjun. Your information has made her so angry that she is ready to leave. And you know what will happen if she leaves. How do you think you can handle it?
Arj: send simran.
Kar: what?
Arj: send simran.
Kar: what do you think she can do to change her mind?
Arj: I am not letting riya leave karan. She is the only way I have to reaching sikander.
Kar: wait. Riya? Way?. Arjun how can you think about riya like that? she is innocent arjun. You know that.

Hearing a knock on the door, riya did'nt want to give permission but she gave. Simran opened and saw that she is packing her clothes into the bag.
Sim: karan told me
Riya said nothing.
Sim: riya, I don't think that you should leave.
Ri: simran, how can you expect me to stay with a person who is going to destroy the one person I care about the most?
Riya sat down on the bed holding her head in her hands and simran sat beside her placing her hand on her shoulder.
Ri: you know simran. Our parent died in a car accident. Some car bashed them and they fell over the edge of the cliff. Their bodies were never found simran. For days I sat silent staring at nothing unable to comphrehend that they were no more. Bhai tried many ways to make me react. Finally he kept his hand on fire to make me react. He held me as I cried. Finally as my sadness began to fade I realized that he too should have been feeling the same sadness as me if not more. You know my brother was adopted before my birth but my parents never differentiated between the two of us. I considered him more as my real brother and he adored me as my sister. When he disappeared, I knew I had to find him. I could'nt even think that he is dead and even if he is I needed to see his body. How can arjun sir even think that my brother could be sikander simran?
Sim: riya, evidence is there pointing towards your brother.
Ri: arjun sir always told never always trust the evidence. Then just because of one letter and a flashdrive how can he believe that my brother is the culprit?
Sim: riya, that evidence was given by nupur. Don't you trust nupur to do the right thing?
Ri: I don't know simran. I just know that the man who held me as I cried, who always ensured my happiness can't be the murderer. He just cant be.
Sim: okay why don't you stay back and accompany arjun in his search for sikander?
Riya looks at her in disbelief.
Sim: riya, think about it. Instead of going off on a search on your own, you accompany us in the search for sikander. In this way you can even prove to arjun that he is wrong if there is some inconsistency in the proof which is there. You say you know your brother very well, so even if you find out that he is in trouble then you know that the best person to rescue him is arjun.
Riya said nothing as she processed the truth of simran's words.
Sim: we are leaving in half an hour for Bhopal. Make your choice riya.
And she got up and left leaving riya in her thoughts.
After half an hour,
After checking that everything is okay in the house, arjun closes the door and climbs down the stairs. Riya had left the house and he did'nt see her in the car. His heart beats wildly as he contemplates if riya did'nt come with them then what but his face showed nothing. Since the glasses of the car doors were tinted he could'nt see whether riya is in the car or not. He opens the driver's door and gets inside. He releases the breath he was holding seeing riya sitting right behind him. Their eyes meet for a second and arjun sees her anger and her frustration while riya sees his pain and his understanding. She wrenches her eyes unable to bear to see him. arjun starts the car and they start on their journey to prove whose choice was right.

Chapter 20
Anjali felt her eyes going sleepy with the constant stroking of her hair by riya. Jerking herself up from riya's arms, she said "di, I am not feeling sleepy."
Ri: anjali, sleep for a little while.
Anj: but I did sleep di. Because of the medicine.
Riya did'nt know what to say.
Anj: di, is mama in trouble? We will be able to find her right?
Before riya could say anything, arjun said "of course we will find her anjali."
Anj: promise mr arjun.
Arjun (looking into riya's eyes in the mirror):- promise. Now sleep for sometime. It's a long time till we reach Bhopal.
Riya's eyes became furious hearing arjun's words. How can he promise something which he cannot fulfill. Arjun steadily looks at riya even though she does'nt look at him.
Riya (her thoughts): how can he promise something which he is not going to fulfill?
Arjun (his thoughts): I intend to fulfill my promise to anjali riya. I will find nupur and along with him sikander.
His expression becomes unreadable as he remembers karan's words is'nt riya your life?'. He did'nt want to give a name to what he felt for riya. He knew that the moment he did that, she will become something which he will always fear of losing just like he lost his roshni, his ETF team. No, the more he stays away from her and treats her as a clue, the better. It is the best choice for both of them.
Kar: shera, it has been 8 hrs since we are on the road. lets stop at a nearby hotel to freshen up.
Arj: karan, the longer we are on the road, the faster that we reach Bhopal. The more we delay the more time it will take to reach Bhopal. No, lets continue our journey without taking any break.
Sim: come on arjun. There is no harm in just freshening up. And I have to do my make up also. please arjun at least for sometime let's stop at a hotel.
Ri: I think karan is right. it has been 8 hrs since we are on the road. we can stop at a hotel for a snack and for freshening up also ar... if possible we can even take a dinner parcel so that we don't have to stop for dinner.
Arjun notices how riya carefully avoided saying his name. Seeing the puppy dog stare from karan, he hid a smirk and said "okay. We will stop. For half an hour. After that we are on the road."
Karan smiles and said "okay." He notices how arjun keeps on glancing at riya from time to time while riya is also studiously avoiding to look at him. he exchanges a glance with simran and sees that simran is also noticing the same thing. Her glance indicates how worried she is about the two of them. Even karan is unable to think on how to go about bringing these two together. He could'nt agree with arjun's saying that riya is just a clue.
After half an hour they see a decent hotel and arjun parks the car after dropping all four of them at the entrance. Karan asks whether there were any rooms available and got two rooms, one for him and arjun and the other for riya, anjali and simran. Suddenly, it starts raining outside. Arjun rushes in but not before getting himself fully wet. Karan said "arjun you are fully wet. Go to the room and change". he gave one key to arjun. Arjun took his bag and left for the room.
Sim: guys, let's go to the restaurant. I am feeling very hungry.
Kar; oh my god! you are feeling hungry. No, no simran don't eat. If you eat, then your weight will increase and if your weight increases then how will you become an actress?
Sim: ha,ha very funny karan. I am going to eat and I am going to eat even more than you.
Kar: haha, eating competition then I will surely win.
Sim: let's see.
Ri: oh god! both of you. stop it. karan, can I have the keys to my room? I would like to keep my bag and freshen up before coming to eat.
Karan gave the keys to riya and riya taking her bag left.
Anj: what happened to her? why is she so serious?
Karan and simran could'nt say anything. They just headed to the restaurant.
Riya enters the room and keeps her bag on the bed. Taking her things out, she stops hearing the sound of water coming from the bathroom. Slowly, she removes the gun from her bag. Hearing the sound of the bathroom door open, she whirls and points the gun towards arjun.
