The ''Antarpat'' was seperating them to see each other,while,others' were happy and literally had fun seeing Arjun's condition who wanted to see his bride,at any cost...
Soon,the priests' chanted some mantras' and simultaneously,the ''Antarpat'' lowered down,revealing Riya to Arjun,and,Arjun to Riya. Both had garlands at their hands. Riya was blushing profusely,while,Arjun smiled at her cute blush.
''Ab var kanya ko varmala pehnaye..'' Panditji said.
Arjun bent forward and was about to put the Varmala around Riya's neck,when,suddenly,Ravish and Rohit,along with Shree,raised Riya,so that Arjun cant put the Varmala around her neck. After the second attempt,Arjun,being the super cop,flung the mala,to which,luckily,fell around Riya's neck... Riya blushed heavily and lowered her gaze,while,everyone smiled... Everyone clapped and showered flowers on them... Arjun had a sweet smile on his face.
''Ab kanya var ko varmala pehnaye..'' Panditji said.
Riya bent forward and was about to put the mala around Arjun's neck,when,Sameer and Chotu pulled him.. Everyone laughed at this prank.. It also happened the second time.. During the third time,Arjun pushed away Sameer and Chotu and put the Varmala around Riya's neck.. Everyone laughed at Arjun's urgency and showered them with flower petals.
Arjun and Riya sat down for the rest of the rituals. Then it was the ''Ganpatri Sthapana'',where Arjun and Riya had to do the Ganpati Sthapana on a plate,which will be kept at the Mandir of Arjun's home. Arjun and Riya did the ''Ganpati Sthapana'' very beautifully.
Then came the Kanyadaan... Amrita and Col.Mukherjee went upto the dias and performed the ritual,emotionally.. They had tears in their eyes',while,tears fell from Riya's eyes. Arjun promised them that he will take very good care of Riya and will always love her a lot... Col.Mukherjee and Amrita smiled and thanked their luck to gift them such a kind and loving son-in-law.. Arjun smiled and turned around to wipe Riya's tears.
Then,Anindita and Antara came for the Gatbandhan.They took a long pink cloth and kept one portion around Arjun's neck,and tied the other portion with Riya's saree's pallu.
''Ab samaya hai Saptapadi ka... Var aur Kanya dono Agni Dev ko sakshi maanke saat janmo keliye bandhne keliye saat phere lenge... Var aur Kanya,kripiya aap log khare hojaiye phere keliye..''
Arjun and Riya stood up and started the Pheres',with Arjun taking the first 4 pheras'. As Arjun took one phera each,he had to utter the Vow taken,loudly... Like this,Arjun finished his first 4 pheras'. Now,Riya came forward and held Arjun's hands tightly and started the last 3 pheras'.She also had to repeat the Vows,as per Panditji said to utter... Thus,the couple took their seven vows and was about to sit,when Arjun asked the Panditji,
''Panditji,amin aur Riya ek aur vachan lena chahenge..''
''Avashya..''
Both Arjun and Riya held their hands tightly and looked at each other and said, ''Hum dono,Bappa se yeh hi prarthna karte hai ki humdono sirf saath janmo keliye nahi,balki,har ek aane wale janam mein pati-patni bane aur ek duje ka saath de..''
''Tathastu,putra...''
Everybody clapped loudly and showered them with flower petals.. It made Rohit and Antara,and,Ravish and Anindita reminisce their wedding days.
''Ab var kanya ke maang mein sindoor bhariye..''
Arjun took a pinch of Sindoor and applied it on Riya's maang... Riya closed her eyes to feel his touch and the sheer feel of Sindoor,adorning her forehead.
''Ab var kanya ko mangalsutra pehnaye..''
Arjun took the mangalsutra and tied it around Riya's neck.Riya again closed her eyes' to feel Arjun's touch and to feel the world's heavenly necklace around her ncck,i.e,the mangalsutra of Arjun's name...
''Ab yeh vivaah sampanna huya.. Aaj se aap dono pati patni hai.. Abhi aap dono apne buzurg ka aashirwaad lijiye..''
All clapped very loudly and showere flowers on them and Arjun and Riya got down from the dais to take the blessings' of the elders. Arjun and Riya took the blessings of the elders',while their colleagues and friends hugged them and congratulated them,which was followed by a sumptuous Maharashtrian dinner.
''Vidaai'' moment came. Riya cried a lot in her Mom and Dad's arms.She also went towards her,Dida,Maashimaa,Mamashree,
Rohit,Antara,Ravish and Anindita and hugged them and cried. She also hugged Sara,Ashwin,Rudra,Shubh and cried.. They blessed Arjun and Riya for a happy married life. Mini came running towards her Pishi Angel and hugged her tightly,not letting her go.. Riya became very emotional and hugged her tightly. After a while,Riya broke the hug and wiped Mini's tears' and assured her that,she will come after two days,after the reception..
Riya was accompanied to the car by Col.Mukherjee... She and Arjun sat inside the car...
''Usse agar koi bhul hojaye,toh maaf kardijiyega beti samajkar..'' to which,Daijaan nodded in positive.
Soon,Riya left with Arjun for her sasuraal..
