Just to let you know, after reading all the three of Riya's letters at one go, that you do not need to feel in the least hesitant or concerned about how good they are, or about whether you have left something out. They are moving and entirely plausible, and as far as I can remember, you have not left out anything of any importance.

What I liked best was the matter of fact and unsentimental tone of the messages, though the depth of the underlying emotion, and her attachment to each of them, comes thru clearly. You have done a very good job of the drafting.

The basic question of why Riya would write such farewell letters when she had no way of knowing that she was going to die so suddenly, remains, and many have asked you that question. You had better tell them that she had a premonition!

I shall look out for the last one, the letter to Arjun. For now, you have every reason to be pleased with your effort, though I personally do not like the contractions of the Hindi words - like krta for karta - that so many of you seem to prefer.
