He lifted his head and saw them torturing sameer, punching and kicking him. his face held few bruises and blood was trickling down his forehead and lips.

"usse mat maaro."

"kyun??? Sochlo. Agar hume usse nahin maarna hai to tujhe chup chaap maar khaani padegi"

He said in a malicious voice

"no Arjun. Tu aisa kuch nahin karega. Please for God's sake khatm karo inhe..."

"sam, mala mahit ahe pan me majboor ahe. Lok hencha tabyat ahet ani amhi khoop kami lok ahot.madad mile paryant amhala vel vaachvayla pahije. Mala kahi nahi honar, kalaji karu nako (sam,main jaanta hun, par main majboor hun. Log inke kabze mein haiand we are outnumbered. Help ke aane tak we need to save time. Mujhe kuch nahin hoga dun worry.)"

"pan RJ...oki... me tujha barobar ahe. Tu ekta kashala maar khaych? Mala pann maate sati, bharat maate sati maar khayla de...(par RJ... oki...mein tere saath hun. Tu akela kyun maar khaye? Mujhe bhi maa keliye watan ke liye maar khane de...)."

Arjun smiled at his friend and squared his shoulders.

"waah kya deshprem hai... par ab ye sab kuch waqt ke liye. Jab saans nikal jaayegi tab pata chalega"

"tum nahin samjhoge" Arjun chuckled.

He was beaten continuously.

They punched him, kicked his stomach. But he was rock solid. He did not even flinch.

"oye, wo akela dikh raha hai kyat um logon ko? Kya yaar, mera ego hurt hua... aao aao...mujhe bhi maaro..."

Sameer grinned.

When they came to him like enraged bulls, he stopped them

"arre uncle, haath to kholo...aise maar khaane mein mazaa nahin hai..."

Arjun and sameer stood in front of each other, hugged and parted.

They waited for the blow to come. But felt that those were not even close to what they would experience every time they used to have mock fight.

"sam, inko maarna aata hi nahin hai.ouch..."

He clutched his head.

"abbe haraami..." sameer lunged towards that man bet him to pulp.

Someone from behind him took a wooden log and hit his back.

Sameer fell on his face and immediately turned.

"he saw few men with logs and coming towards them.

He stood back on his feet and they silently communicated with their eyes. No words exchanged.

Two men took positions, behind them, and one infront of them with logs.

Arjun got his blow on his back. he gulped the pain shooting, recalling the people outside n their custody.

Arjun mumbled , in a low voice that could only reach sameer.

He looked back at him in surprise and yelped when log made contact with his torso.

They had their fists clenched, firm on their legs, bearing the pain.

Two more joined them, beating them with logs, not caring where those landed. Their uniform was torn and black and blue bruises were formed on their torso.

One of them hit sameer on his head and he fell down saying the words.

He tried to bend but someone brought the log to his shin again. He pulled the log and made person fall on ground.

Arjun was dragged behind and he saw sameer standing up, assuring he was fine.

Arjun felt many continuous blows all over his body. He clenched his eyes shut and spoke again.

Blood oozed out of their wounds but they stayed calm.

Aisha and Shree saw this from far, they tried to fee themselves but could not. Shree was nearly unconscious but he tried...tried to free himself.

"sameer" Aisha cried out. She never paid attention to him or she made him believe so. She always liked him. but for her work was more important. But today she could not see him like that nor she could see Arjun in pain, who she considered as elder brother.

They heard what they were speaking and both Aisha and Shree joined them.

Their hands were tied, they helplessly saw the torture Arjun and sam were undergoing from about an hour.

Sameer and Arjun were drained. They had held them selves with difficulty. Their body was paining but yet they wanted other's safe.

They both knew, by now atleast chotu would have managed to rescue some. They would tackle these with time.

The terrorists saw them and ordered them to be tied and thrown in a corner of the granary.

Arjun and sameer were tied and were made to sit at two different places, so that they could not help each other. There was just few hours for dawn and the terrorists changed their shifts. Few assembled near the fire they had lit to escape from cold. They all sat there, rubbing their hands and singing. They were care free as they thought that the army would not enter to risk their senior's lives. Little they knew what Arjun had planned for them.

Arjun sat in the corner, contemplating what had happened and how he would plan his next move. His body ached like hell but it was not time to think about that. The place was almost dark and had no light. Far corner, he could see sameer with same looks on his face.
