LAKSHYA
A beautiful land known as crown of our nation, its beautiful valleys filled with flowers and happiness.
Children played in the ally's and women chatted in the market areas, unaware of the danger lurking above their heads.

They were not many in number. But definitely, patriotism was in their every pore, every breath. They had left their families back just to serve the nation no matter what.

*gunshot*
"khabardaar ki koi apni jagah se hila to. Ek ek ko goli se uda denge hum"
"hum jeet kar hi rahenge. Un faujiyon ne hamare saathiyon ko maara hai na ab hum dikhayenge unhe ki hum kya kar sakte hai. Le chalo aur saare lgon ko char hisson mein baant do. Bacche, mard, aurat aur buddhon ko alag alag kamrom mein rakho. Aur haan. Poora naakabandi kardo iss ilakhe ka. koi bhi humare naron se bachke ander na aane paaye."

"Jai Hind sir. Lieutenant Arjun Suryakant Raute sir"
A young man saluted his senior.
"Jai Hind sir. Lieutenant Sameer Damsingh Rathod reporting sir"
"Jai Hind officers. Emergency hai. Isiliye aapko bulaya gaya hai"
"yes sir" the two said in unison.
"Kashmir valley ka ye gaon terrorists ke kabze main hai. Its been 24 hours aur poora ilakha pareshaan hai. Ye gaon aas paas ke ilakhon ka granary hai to agar ye baaki logon ko bhi threatening hai."
"hame kab nikalna hoga sir?" Arjun asked and glanced at sameer.
"thodi der mein. You two will be leading the regiment to the area. It is about 55 kms from here. Beech main hamara koi base nahin hai. So yahin aapka ground camp hai. Yahan main aur kuch seniors rahenge aapke help ke liye. Mausam ki wajah se air force is not able to join us at this moment."
"that's ok sir. But hame tankers ki zaroorat padh sakti hai" sameer quipped.
"I know officers. But there is a problem. You have to cross a river and they have destroyed the bridge. So there is no way that tankers can reach there. It ll be solely you people to act to this mission. You are best officers in your batch and I have given this task to you. I want positive results"
"sure sir. Hum aapko nirash nahin karenge. Chahe jaan chalijaye hum kaamiyaab zaroor honge. Jai hind sir"
"jai hind"
A soldier took them to the area where their regiment was getting ready for the rescue mission.
"lieutenant Arjun raute", "lieutenant sameer Rathod"
"hum dono aapko lead karenge."
They all assembled around the large table with map and Arjun started briefing
"shonakabad. Ek chota sa gao hai valley mein. Almost protected from every side.granary of the region, now under the control of terrorista. We have to rescue the people and free the village."
Sameer took the que and continued
"ek aur baat. Ye village humara link hai uske oopar ke ilakhon ke liye. We have to risk our lives as there is no chance of taking tankers and planes can help us only when the weather is clear. Agar kisi ko maut se darr lagta hai wo abhi waapas jaa sakta hai." Arjun and sameer looked across the hall and saw none backing. They saw each other and smirked.
"oki. Safar ki taiyaari karo. We are leaving in some time. 30 min to be precise. Lt Rathod. Aap mere saath chaliye. Need to discuss something."
"sure lt raute"

"Rathod"
"call me sameer or sam raute... I am not old hag. Just 27 you know."
"oki. Call me arjun or Rj or jun whatever you feel like. Even I am 27 and not 72 that you call me raute." He smirked.
"oye gadhe, gale to mil yaar. Saal beet gaye mile hue. Aate hi raute Rathod lagakar baith gaye hum dono..."
They both hugged each other and then started discussing about the mission in hand.

Half n hour later the regiment left for their mission.
Weather was turning worse every passing minute and painfully dragging their journey longer.
A simple one hour journey with vehicle turned to take two hours. Then they had to silently swim through the river flowing in full force in chilly evening.
Regiment of 100 finally reached their destination.
"sam, tum apne team ko leke uss taraf se cover karo as planned. Main yahan se baakiyon ko leke cover karta hun. Sambhalke jaana bhai.."
"abbe, sambhal ke bacche. Jab hume hamari jaan ki koi fikr hi nahin hai to darr kis baat ka?? watan ke liye jeete hai, watan ke liye hi marenge. Jai Hind"
"Jai hind sam. Mitaenge desh ke dushmanon ko hum, chahe iske liye mitana pade khud ko"

they all took their positions around the village.
After giving necessary instructions to the team and with 20 men each they stealthily neared the barricades of the village.
There was no way that they could risk people's life in. they had to be careful in every step they took.
"Rj, 7 o'clock direction danger" sameer whispered through the microphone.
"gracias sam" Arjun took out his gun and fixed silencer to it. He could not risk being caught. One shot and the man was gone.
"good shot RJ"
"thanks sam. You know me na..." he chuckled.
"set for motion. CRAWL" Arjun and sameer ordered their respective teams and they all started crawling, cutting the darkness.
It was very risky to crawl in the valley that too in darkness. They did not know where the traps were laid and neither did they know where their enemies were.
But it seemed their seniors very well knew what they were doing and where they were heading. They could hear the careless banter through microphones, their laughter and also the way they were alerting each other. Both the teams moved together in a semicircle, down the valley. The other part of the regiment was coming down from the other side of the valley, just a difference that they were more in number,
Suddenly they heard a loud explosion at the back of the troop. Sameer turned behind and saw flames.
"shit Rj they will know that we are here..."
"don't worry about that sam. I ll handle it. Take the troop and move ahead fast"
"what about you??"
"gotta handle a situation brother. I cant let my 50 brothers lives in danger. Go ahead with our plan. I ll join you people soon. Jai hind"

"I saw the rest troop move ahead in mush faster pace. I have a very little time in my hand. I need to do something very fast.
Whats that???!!! A boar?! Lalala... that's something very good...
here It is... uff!!! Its so heavy and chee!!! Is that its stool???? Agar desh ka sawaal nahin hota to kasam se isse main kabhi chuta bhi nahin. Yuk!!!
Eww...blood. I need to wash it soon... there they come. I can hear their words clearly. bas***ds... hope my team is at safe distance... these swines are polluting our land. Jaa mere wild boar... unka raasta ab tu bhatka...
I pushed it away from me... voila!!!! My plan worked...
With what pride they call themselves as terrorists??? Ha... they believed that mine exploded because of a boar??!!!! Chee chee chee... don't they even know ki agar boar ki wajah se blast hua hai to boar bhi mar chukka hoga... what do they think ki dead body zinda hogaya??!!!! Hehehe...kal ka sooraj bhi tum log nahin dekhoge bacchu...

Arjun spoke in his mind all the time he was doing his job. All thought it as to be his weird nature to talk aloud aur mentally debate when at work. But least they knew, just not him but his best friend sameer Rathod too had the same habit. That helped them to analyze the situation in a better way, draw pros and cons in any matter. That is why they were the best, usually sent for very crucial cases.
