My dear Avantika,

First things first. Yesterday, after reading Part 1, I said to myself - Avantika and a mere 2 parter? Now this I have got to see! Lo and behold, this has become a multiparter, and I am sure it will end up as a fill fledged FF, which is something I would join your legions of admirers in welcoming.

As for this part, it is curious in both tone and content. It would take a lot of chutzpah for Emma to call a man she does not know at all, and brief him about her best friend's crush on him. I am a trained diplomat and used to all sorts of situations, but this one would make even me blench.

Plus, I cannot really make out what she is trying to achieve. Surely not to get a confession of reciprocated feelings for Sakshi from Arjun Rawte.Even if he felt that way, he is not going to open up to a stranger over the phone.

Given that, the only other valid reason is that Emma is trying to play cupid - for that is what it is - by letting Arjun know how much Sakshi cared, and cares for him, and how much she misses him. Now, demonstrativeness and love are welcome only if the object of these attentions feels the same. If not, they become an irritating imposition. Emma does not know where Arjun Rawte is coming from on all this, and so she runs the risk of making the whole situation even more awkward for Sakshi, who seems all set to go back to the ETF regardless.

Despite these reservations, I like Part 2, especially because there are two passages that are beautiful in their terse and involuntary candour.

-And the very next instant, a loud thumping in his chest alerted him..The very first sane thought that he came up with was; I hope she's fine..

-His fingers curled together and he plopped his fisted hand against his chin, letting Emma's words sink in..So she does miss me..

An unknown blend of joy and surprise filled him up slowly making way for a smile at the corner of her lips. As much as I missed her..

Lovely, just lovely.
