The look in his eyes made her shiver, she backed away. She could feel his fierce gaze on her. He was angry, very angry.
Riya, he said staring right into her eyes.
She was filled with disgust. How on earth did she fell for him, she wondered. In a state of panic she ran away. She ran towards her room hurriedly.
Riya, listen to me, he shouted and followed her.
He caught her hand and pulled her towards him roughly. She flinched away his hand and ran again.
She closed the door behind her and crouched in the corner of the room.
Riya, he shouted banging the door.
She didn't gave up.
In no time he broke the door and stepped in.
Riya, let me explain, he tried to pacify her.
I don't want to hear anything, she cried.
FINE, he snorted throwing his hands up in the air.
I didn't want it to end like this, but you left me with no choice, he said so softly that it was difficult to make out the words.

*Riya's POV*
I could feel it, somebody is shaking me vigorously. I could hear the voice, but everything seems to be blurred. I tried to open my eyes but they felt like heavy weights. My body feels lethargic and my mind…..

She sat up, gasping for air. Her heart was racing madly. It took her a while to acknowledge where she was. She saw him looking at her worriedly. She rubbed her eyes to confirm and when she realized, she took a deep breath and

Riya? He called her again.
No response!
She looked around completely perplexed.
He took her hand and squeezed it gently to capture her attention and asked again, Riya, Are you Okay?
She looked at him and smiled awkwardly, realizing it was all her imagination. Yeah, I am okay Arjun, she replied quietly.
She could see him narrowing his eyes as he came closer. Are you sure? He asked.
She nodded.
10 minutes ago..
As he stepped into the room he saw her snoozing on the couch. She was trembling and mumbling something.
He became worried and tried to wake her up.
What were you mumbling? He asked.
She looked at him and started laughing aloud.
What is so funny? He asked raising an eyebrow at her.
You would not believe me if I will tell you, she said controlling her laughter.
Really? He asked mischievously. Try me! He winked at her.
She could feel her face flushed. How can she tell him what she dreamt of!
Her expression changed suddenly, she looked serious.
Arjun, promise me you will never leave me, she said looking into his deep brown eyes.
He was confused for a moment. He captured her into a hug and planted a kiss on her forehead, I promise, he said reassuringly.
Wait a minute, Kahin tumhe yeh toh nahi lagta ki I am having an affair, he joked.
She bit her tongue. Of course not, she lied.
She felt guilty for the awful suspicions. She could feel the depth of love in his voice, in his eyes that he felt for her.
He broke the hug and asked her about her injured hand.
Her eyes travelled down towards her right fractured arm and then back to him. Better now, she replied.
Riya, I think tumhe ETF phir se join kar lena chahiye, he suggested.
"But Arjun-"
Field pe nahi jaane dunga, par office me toh baith sakti ho, he said tucking a lock of hair behind her ears.
I know ghar pe bore ho jaati ho, he continued.
She smiled weakly.
He smirked and said in a mocking tone, Pata nahi mere jaane ke baad kya-kya karti ho.
She hit him gently with her elbow and started giggling.
You should sleep now, he said and captured her into his warm embrace and carried her to their room. She clutched him tightly with one hand and could not hold him closer enough. He placed her on the bed gently and covered her with the sheets.
His eyes wandered across the room and stopped at the empty water jar which lying on the side table. I should get some water, he thought.
He took the jar and walked out of the room. While passing by the hall he tripped over something and fell down. He saw something lying on the floor. He picked it up and got up slowly. It was a book. He turned the book to see the front cover and catch its name.
