Chapter 18

Sonia enters making everyone alert to her presence. She slowly walks down the corridor dressed in white shirt with a blue jacket and blue pants making her look professional. All over thoughts are being echoed

what is she doing here?', a wh**e cannot do any decent work', wonder how she trapped our boss', she is a housebreaker. Got to stay away from her.'

Sonia enters the room without knocking. A man in a 3 piece suit is seated at the table tapping something into the laptop furiously. His forehead is furrowed in concentration. He does'nt look up at her entering but simply says "close the door and put down the shields." Sonia locks the door and puts down thecovers of the window hearing every thought echo here they go again.' After it is done she turns to see him still tapping furiously.

Son: you know your laptop will break if you keep tapping those keys so furiously.

He finally looks up his brown eyes revealing his feelings sonia is well aware of. She signs and opens the drawer and takes out the medicine. Taking her time she took the tablet and poured a glass of water. Taking the tablet and medicine she holds it out to him. he simply stares at her. she signals with her eyes to take it but he does'nt listen. Before she could say anything, someone knocks the door in a hurried manner. She puts the medicine on the table and takes out her jacket. Ruffling her hair a little bit she puts up a bored expression and loosens 2 buttons of her shirt. She then goes and opens the door and karan enters. She closes and locks it again. Seeing karan stare disapprovingly at her she fastens the 2 buttons saying "what?" and ties her hair into a pony. Karan then looks at the man and seeing him stare at her furiously jokes "sonia with the way arnav is staring at you, you would have melted into the water already." Sonia replies "I was more afraid that I would melt into the air."

Arn: if your both joking around is over then we can start to do work.

Sonia and karan raises their hands showing their surrender which makes arnav crack a reluctant smile. Sonia seeing the smile says "see, you should smile more often. It helps to improve your mood."

Sonia gets a flash of a girl with her twinkling eyes and a ready smile on her face before her. she softly says "don't worry arnav. It won't be long before that will happen also." Arnav just stares at her. sonia then rubs her hands together and says "so let's get started."

After 1 hours,

Sonia gets out of the room with a satisfied expression on her face like a cat got the milk. Everyone thoughts assailed around her with disgustment, repulsion and lust shown. Aman comes towards the room. sonia while passing winks at him making aman give a small smile. He thinks take care sonia.'

Aman enters the room seeing arnav and karan sitting at the opposite sides of the table. Arnav gave his expression which indicated to continue. Aman said "they are fine and got all the clues that were planted by us. They may reach here within 2-3 days and co-operate with the Italian authorities to catch him. And anjali mam, khushi mam and the children are also good." Arnav then nods indicating aman to go. Karan walks to the window and stares at the view. It is a view of the river with the bridge. Boatman are passing each other rowing romantic couples, sightseers or businessmen. It is a normal day in venice. He saw sonia coming out and waiting. A boatman comes and she sits on the boat. He continues seeing till the boat turned a corner. Lifting his hands to his eyes to wipe something off, he saw that something is tears. He closes his hands and takes a deep breath to calm himself down. Shaking his head he turned to say something to arnav but he saw arnav staring at the seat where sonia sat. Looking at karan, his expression matched what karan thought, to stop sonia from succeeding no matter what it took.

hey guys, I am planning to finish raaz within 3-4 updates. since my exams are coming up I will finish this ss before the exams start.

Chapter 19

A girl is leaning at the window sill and looking at the letter which is holding. She has read it a dozen times and remembers every word of it but still reading that letter she could'nt help but feel helpless. She so wanted to go and hug the man she loves but she was unable to do so. She thinks how ironic this situation is. Before also she was unable to help and now also. But there is also a difference. Before she had no one to help her but now she knew that she can count on someone to help him. Because now it is not only his life which is on stake but hers also. Her thought process is broken when the letter is snatched out of her hands. Before she could do anything the man in front of her tore the letter and threw it into the fire. She just watched as he threw the letter into the fire and continued to watch as the letter burned into the fire. She then turned her head up to look at him with the question in her eyes. He simply said "no one should know what is the secret except for us. that is the best for them and for us." he walked out of the room while tears silently streamed down her eyes. She quickly wiped them and prayed to her devi maiyya to give her strength. She held to her mangalsutra and with fire in her eyes said "you are not alone anymore arnav. You were never alone."

Arnav snapped out of his sleep with her name on his lips. He looked around the room and realized that it was a dream. Getting up he sat on the bed and held his head in his hands. it has been almost one and half year since they have been divorced but he still could'nt help but curse himself for making her go through this. he knew he had no choice if he did'nt do this then their lives could have been ruined but nevertheless this never reduced the hurt he had. Only he knows how he survives day by day just with thought that he will make it up to her but he leaves with the fear that the damage is too deep for it to heal. Even a person who is as selfless like her would have a limit to tolerate but this time he hopes he has'nt crossed the limit. Looking at the time he gets up and powers up his laptop. The red signal had blinked throughout the night indicating its functioning. He opened and saw that the files were stored. He opens the files dated 8^th feb 11:30pm, puts on the headphones and begins listening. Hearing what is being said made his expression look as if it is carved out of a stone. He removed the headphones gingerly as of it is fragile, put on his boxing gloves and went to the punching bag. He then hit the punching bag so hard that it flew out of its handle and landed a few feet in front of the bathroom door. His breathing becomes heavy and he thinks "time has come to pay for what you have done. Time has come."

Sonia is humming a tune while combing her hair. She opens her mind and hears rogers say "nope, she has'nt gone anywhere. We are leaving for rome in this afternoon flight. Yes she spent the entire morning and night with both of them." sonia withdrew with tune now becoming forced. She knew that it is always like this but it still hurts. She looks at the mirror and sees herself. Wearing a dress which only reaches upto her knees and her hair covering half of her back she looked decent. But her eyes and the manner she held herself would make anyone believe what she is. She looks at the mirror and says "believe this sonia. The world sees you as a beautiful, manipulative and seducing wh**e. There is no one whom you can trust and who will trust you." smiling bitterly she puts the final touches of her makeup when the bell rings. She becomes puzzled and opens her mind to her the mailman think "wow, must be some hotshot who has a bodyguard who checks her mail. Maybe I will get to see her in a nightie." And the image in his head made sonia cringe. She immediately withdrew and went to open the door. She counted till 10 and opened. The postman in front of her was a young boy. Putting the sweetest expression on her face due to his young age, she signed the form and said "grazie".(thank you) Her dimple smile was going to put the boy flat on his face. But sensing the bodyguard behind him he just said "benvenuto"(welcome) and left towards the boat waiting for him. rogers nodded his head which indicated that package is safe. Curiosity now overwhelmed sonia. She quickly closed the door after giving a curt nod to rogers and placed the package on the table. She just took the lid and was shocked to see what it is.

He smiled on seeing the sonia put on her sweetest expression with the irritation visible in her eyes. She looks beautiful in a flowery dress right upto her knees conveying an image of innocence untouched. He watches from the brim of his hat as her expression changes from sweet to surprise to curiosity and then to impatience. She signs the register and takes the package. Although the postman now sat on his boat but he took sometime in rowing away. He wanted to glance back to see if he can glimpse her through the window when she opens but the bodyguard made him think twice. He rows away with the postman having a dreamy expression remembering the words play a move which you did'nt even expect acp". Arjun thought "the game begins."

Precap: "how the hell did he do all this?" he screamed. Sonia replied calmly "I don't know. he fooled me too."

She feels a bolt a electricity jolt through her making her body shudder violently. Khala leaned down and said "I think sonia beta, it is time to show you what pain is."
