CHAPTER 10:
They went to the party together, they were just perfect together. Many eyes were drawn to them, some commented too. Melodious songs filled in the air. After some time, all were urged to come on the dance floor. They tried not to go, but others didn't allow, both were uncomfortable. Worried about hurting each other's feelings.😳
"sir kya hum bahar chale.. thode der keliye?"
He was relieved. "sure". They went out and walked silently. It was a beautiful location. Roads had trees near to footpath. With small lights as if stars. They walked for a while, but talking a lot in their silence. A couple was sitting ahead lost in each other's arms kissing passionately. They felt awkward.😳
She was feeling cold and was rubbing herself to get warm. lips shivering a bit. Arjun saw that. He removed his coat and covered her. She was shocked. 😲 "kaafi cold hai..chalte hai warna bimar hoga.." they walked back but she was worried to go back.
In the room, she was really worried. She went to change. When she came back, she saw Arjun asleep in the couch. He had taken one pillow and left one for her on bed. But he didn't take the blanket as there was only one. But it was really cold. Sapna smiled at his action. 😊 She went to the cupboard to take the spare blanket and covered him up." Good night sir" she said smiling and went back to bed. Arjun opened his eyes. He was witnessing all these .
after breakfast they left for the fort. For anyone it would have felt as if they were normal couple. it was tough to climb up. She was a bit tired. He kept his hands forward to help her. She doubted before giving in. after a while they were walking hands in hands. After a point both were breathless. only then they realized about being so close. both felt awkward. 😳 Suddenly she turned around worried. "kya hua?" he asked.
"pata nahi aise lagtha hai ki koi hamare peeche kar rahi hai"
"lets be careful" he was back to his cop's role. But they didn't know about the trap set ahead. Their coming was been informed to this people earlier itself. They were prepared for these cops. They both reached almost near to the vehicle. Sapna felt uneasy. Was it real or her mind's play? She could see some people closing in. Arjun didn't miss this too. He silently nodded to her to be prepared. they had guns in their bags. The firing started immediately. They both were working as a perfect team. Taking out as many as they can. Only two of the goons were left. they were not prepared for this. One of them shot at her. She ducked in time. "Sapna…." Shouted Arjun.😲 Then was relieved that she was ok. they got their hint. They started firing at her continuously. She couldn't move from her place. Arjun was distracted. He ran towards her. One of them turned and shot him. he was hit near to the ribs. " aah…………" he shot back and the goon fell down. He couldn't move.
Sapna was shocked " SIR…." She ran towards him shooting the left person killing him. Arjun was about to fall when she caught him. He was losing his consciousness. "sir ankhein khuliye… please …please sir….." she kept calling him making him lean onto the vehicle. He slowly opened his eyes. She was crying… 😭"please sir uthiye…" he saw the man whom he shot slowly getting up. He was aiming at her but she couldn't see him. Her back was towards him and she was only concentrating on Arjun. He swiftly held on to her waist keeping her close to his chest and turned around when the goon shot. It hit his arms. He was holding onto her waist more tightly.
She didn't understand his reaction at the beginning. Only when she heard the shot she understood. She fired and killed him. Now Arjun was really losing his grip. He kept falling down. Sapna was supporting him with all her power. She opened the door and lead him into the car. He was bleeding heavily at his ribs and arm. " sir ……sir…" he was wincing in pain. She tore her dupatta into half and tied onto the wounds. She took his face in her hands.. " sir… please hold on.. I'll take you hospital".
She started the vehicle and rushed out…… he was almost unconscious. She could hardly see him breathing. They reached the hospital, she ran out screaming " koi stretcher layiye please……doctor……." He was brought into the corridor. Doctor was checking his pulse. It was very weak.." please inhe bachalijiye please….. bohot khoon beh raha hai…… please help………."she cried.😭
"dekhiye inhe goli lagi hai… police case hai.. pehle unhe aane deejiye.."
She was shocked 😲and lost all her control and caught hold of doctor's collar "tho kya goli police nikalenge..? tho aap sub yaha kyu hai……? Bolo…!! Agar inhe kuch hua tho mein aapko nahi chodungi…."
Doctor was shocked at the lady's rage.." haa tho atleast inke parivar walonko bulayiye…"
"tho mein kaun hu…??? hah….. BIWI HU MEIN INKE..…Mrs: SAPNA ARJUN RAWTE… ab leke jaiye inhe…."
They rushed to the theatre. She fell onto the chair…
