CHAPTER 8:

Months went by faster than anyone could imagine. Sapna was really a part of the team by now. Everyone accepted her with whole heart. She shared a great friendship with chotu n shree. Rathod was strict but was also caring as always. And Arjun, well he was still old Arjun…😉 but she felt that now he was not angry with her as before.

One evening after finishing a case in a mall, all were returning to their SUV parked in the parking lot.

"excuse me…. Sapna?" a voice came behind them.

"Rajveer Sir…? Aap yaha..?"

"hai.. tum Mumbai me ho or mujhe patha thak nahi chala ? kaise ho ? your team ?" he enquired about others.

" I am fine sir, thanks. Yes ye meri team hai.. Sir, this is ACP Sameer Rathod, ETF chief. Or ye ACP Arjun sir, shree and chotu." She introduced. "Sir this is Mr. Rajveer Shekhavat, my mentor back at the training centre". She introduced the new comer.

"hello sir" Rathod shook his hands. "nice to meet you"

"the pleasure is mine sir.. bohot suna hai aapke team ke bare main.. I am really happy for you Sapna..you got the best team…par…"

"par kya sir?" rathod was surprised.

Rajveer turned to the shocked Sapna.. she knew what was coming up…"no Sir please…" her mind was crying.. but didn't have voice.

"iske matlab tum tumhari Riya ko replace kar rahi ho.. right?" he was upset.

The team was shocked 😲…how did he know Riya? And whats 'tumhari Riya'?

Sapna was not ready for this. The team still didn't know their connection. She always thought not to hurt them. That's why she didn't speek about it.

"tum or Riya tho best feinds the na… jab uske bare me suna… I was really worried about you… ki tum kaise manage kar paongi… but I am now happy that you made it… after all she is always in our hearts.. right!" team was stunned to hear this. 😲"tho aap Riya ko jante the?" Rathod couldn't believe this😲.

"of course Riya or Sapna meri training centre ke best students the.. or ye log best friends bhi the na… school ke time se.. phir college..training.. you may know about it right? "

He spoke for some 5 minutes about them..Sapna was burning inside…the pain she hid inside was about to burst… Arjun could clearly understand her feeling..

"ok then sapna take care…bye"

"b..bye sir"

The team was still in shock."to tum Riya ko janti thi..?" shree asked. "par tum kabhi…"

"sorry sir..kya mein ghar ja sakti hu…?"she couldn't stand anymore. Rathod understood. "ok you may go". She ran away from there. Reached her apartment and cried her heart out. She took all the letters she had… her Ri's memories…

ETF hall:

"I cant believe this… wo ithne din sub chupke seh rahi thi.. na kuch bola.. " chotu felt pathetic.

"ha chotu..she is really a strong girl.. warna hamari bathonse wo kab thak toot chuki hoti… and yes I remember seeing her somewhere.. but didn't know where? Maybe it was in Ri' s photos.

Rathod was proud of his officer. But kept quite.. Arjun felt bad for hurting her in Riya' s name.

"hum sub Riya ko bohot kam samay se janta tha..but she knew her for a long time.. so uske dard hum subse zyada hai.. or kisi ko miss karne ka dard koi humse pooche" Arjun said. "shree try to call her check if she' s fine"

"sir I called her many times.. she is not taking the phone.."

"maybe we should go n check". They went to her apartment. They rang the doorbell 2-3 times. No response. They were worried. After next try Sapna opened the door.. the scene was pathetic.

Sapna eyes were so red that it shouted that she was crying for a long time.."sir aap yaha.. " she didn't have voice. "may we come in?"

"yes. .. yes sir..please..". they went into the hall.. there were some photos of her family.. and then photos of her with Riya…starting from school time..picnic photos.. convocation days.. training period..there was the whole replica of their friendship..and she was silent lost some where. They noticed it and looked each other not knowing what to do. Shree put his hands on her shoulder bringing her back.." sapna please sit down.. don't think you are alone.. we are here with you.. why did you suffer alone ? you could have told us.."

"how could I Shree..I could see that you all missed her.. I didn't want to trouble you.." let weeped keeping her face in hands😭. And her friends started consoling her. Even Rathod tried. Arjun just kept his silence. Slowly she told about her life with Riya. About her friendship..about the letters.. she kept talking for hours. She felt better.. Arjun was just looking at her.. trying to read her feelings in her eyes.. late at night they made her promise to be ok and went to the door.. Arjun just stayed back.at last he went to her "kabhi bhi apne aasuonse apne yaadon ko chot math pahunchana… use jaise ho yaise hi rahne dena…" he almost smiled at her. "good night Sapna.. " that was the first time he said it to her😉.

CHAPTER 9:

The incident increased her relation with the team. She was feeling complete. After a few weeks:

Rathod came in " team we have a case. There is some trouble in Ratanpur. It's a very remote place. Slowly its growing as a tourist attraction. we have got some news about some arms dealing going on over there. And report says its some what serious. So we have to look into it. but us case ke kuch part yaha Mumbai mein hi hai… underworld ke log waha unke operations karnekeliye chuna hai.. par decisions isi sheher me hi horaha hai.. so we wil have to split up… Rawte or Sapna waha chalega.. or hum yaha.."

"remember ye ek undercover operation hai.. is samay waha winter fest chal raha hai.. is liye waha bheed hoga. To waha tum dono ko aise jana hoga ki koi shak na kare.. you will be a couple…" rathod continued.

"oh no…😲 " Sapna whispered. Shree heard and smiled😆.

"kya hua yaha koi comedy chal raha hai kya?"

"sorry sir" both said.😳

"tho.. tum dono keliye waha hotel mein booking kiya hai , as Mr and Mrs Arjun Singhania. Names as usual. Cover up story tum dono banalo.. but I just want to make sure that kisi ko bhi ye nahi patha nahi hona chahiye kit um dono officers ho. Everything clear?"

"yes sir" both said. But not with full hearts. As usual Arjun was going to drop her. " get ready by 8 am. I'll pick you up. We will first go to office and then back to location. So be ready with all you need."

"sir aap mujhe mall ke pass chod dijiye.. kuch shopping karna hai.."

" of course tum logon ko shopping keliye bus ek bahana chahiye"

"aise nahi hai sir.. sir ne kaha tha ki remote area hai tho aise formals me tho nahi ja sakthi. Is liye.. or kuch zaroori cheezen bhi chahiye …"

"ok" they reached mall. "wait karna hoga?" he enquired.

"nahi sir aap jayiye..mein chali jaungi.." he nodded and drove back. Well.. shopping list was a long one. After all married banke jana hai…

Next day morning. Arjun was waiting in his SUV ."kaha rah gai ye…" he was irritated.

Door opened. She came out in baby pink salwar. She had mangalsutra in her neck. Few bangles. A trolley bag in one hand. With the other hand she was pushing her hair behind her ears. And one thing among all took his breath out of him. Sindoor… it was just purity that reflected in her face.. he kept looking at her.she felt it.😳 "aise kya dekh rahi hai ye..achi nahi hai kya?" she asked herself. " chale sir"

They drove back in silence. " ab married hoga tho ek hi room.. I hope wo zyada naraz nahi hoga.." she was thinking. 😳When they reached the office even Rathod lost his words for a second. "they look good together..I hope Rawte apne harkatho se ise zyada problem na bana de." He said to himself. "kya Jodi hai yaar.." chotu commented slowly to Shree 😉 .Arjun ans Sapna were unaware of these.

After some briefing they left. He drove silently for a while. And she was just looking out of the window. "tho cover up ke bare me kuch socha?" he broke silence. "ji.. I was thinking about being a school teacher.."

"no not a school teacher.." Arjun said suddenly.

"but why sir?" she saw stress on his fore head. He was thinking of his Love.. "kaha na.. teacher nahi.. kuch or socho.."

"k.. to.. house wife ok hai sir… just like a normal wife..?" she asked slowly lowering her eyes😳. He saw it. "lagta hai house wife banne ki bohot shok hai.. to ETF kyu join kiya.?"

" ek sweet simple life har kisi ke sapna hota hai.. meri bhi ti..bohot darthi thi bahar ke duniya se.. agar aaj jo bhi hu wo Ri ki wajah se hai.. usine mujhe himmath se jeene ki salah di thi.. "she said with a smile. Arjun saw it and didn't ask anything else. After some time she slowly slept. And he didn't call her.

"Sapna utho.. we reached the place.." she woke up. Though it was almost noon. there was a slight chill in the air. It was beautifull.

They reached the reception. "welcome sir..how can I help you?" he showed the bookings. "ok sir your room is ready..3^rd floor..room:312. And Sir, since we are having the winter fest, we have some party here at 8 pm. Please do come with you wife." He nodded and they went to the room. Once inside both were uncomfortable. It was perfect for a couple. Its decorum would have pleased anyone. He felt her disturbance. "tum fresh hojao. Mein lunch keliye kuch try karthe hai.. then we will go out checking the area." She sat on the bed for a while trying to understand what to do next. Then she went to fresh up and came back in another salwar. When she came he was there waiting for her. Lunch was on the table and he was reading some newspapers. "sir aapko fresh nahi hona?"

"tum lunch start karlo I'll join". He went. When he came back he saw that she haven't started. She was near the mirror putting sindoor… he felt nostalgic..😳

"sir…." He came back. They silently had their lunch. Then they went out to different possible locations. They worked as usual. at a particular place it was so crowded. She was almost lost. He felt a tight grip on her hand pulling her out from there. She felt really secured over there.. they were lost in each others eyes for a while.😳 Finally they were back by 6. They called Rathod "there is probably some actions going on near to the fort.. we will check there tmrw"

"ok Rawte..just be careful..yaha se jo information mile hai use ye clear hai ki waha kuch bade contract exchange hone wale hai.. you both take care.." after phone he was evidently tired. "sir aap aaram karlijiye.."

"nahi neeche party pe bulaya hai. Nahi chalogi to awkward hoga. Mein change karthe hu..tum bhi karle.." he took his dress n went to washroom. After a few minutes he came in a light blue shirt,black pants and a black coat. He looked stunning. "tum ready nahi ho?"

"wo.. sir aapko wait kar rahe the.." he understood. "I'll wait downstairs". After sometime Arjun couldn't believe his eyes. She looked so beautifull in that black saree. 😳😉
