CHAPTER 19:

He walked into the conference hall. He couldn't still understand what he heard. How could they think like that. How can some one put other's life in such danger situation. He waited for the team to come in. but they didn't. he was really angry and was walking up and down in the hall.😡

Back in the commissioner's office:

Arjun had walked out. "dekho Rathod.. mujhe uss se koi nafrat nahi hai.. mein bas ye case jithni jaldi ho sake uthni jaldi solve karna chahtha hu…"

"I know sir… but I am sorry.. is baar mein Rawte ke saath hu…" Sapna couldn't believe this. "me nahi chahthe ke mere kisi bhi officer aise khathre mein pade.. I am sorry…"

"ok then… think again… soch ke bathana.. and if there is any other ways go for it.. but inform soon.. you may go" they rose to go. " ek minute.. Sapna just stay.. I want to talk to you.. you all may go."

She silently took his permission and stayed back. Others went away.

Conference hall:

All came in. " kaha rah gaye the aap sab.. bali ke bakra the thair karne? "😡

"ab bas karo Rawte tumhe kya lagtha hai ke yaha sirf tum hi Sapna ka khayal rakhthe ho.. I am the chief of this team. Or mein aise khadam kabhi nahi uthaunga jis se kisi ke jaan ko khatra ho.." Arjun was a bit relaxed to hear this. "Tho case discuss kare? Or ye Sapna kaha hai?"

"use commissioner sir ne kuch baath karne keliye bulaya hai.. ab aathe hi hoge"

"damn it.. tum use waha rukhne kyu diya.? Ab wo use brain wash karkhe hi chodenge.."

Commissioner office:

"dekho officer.. jo baath ab hua hai.. I didn't mean to hurt you.. its just my duty.."

"I know sir… its ok.."

"tho kya socha tum ne?" she was not sure what to say. "I don't know sir.. jaise mere seniors kahenge waise hoga.." she took a safe side.

" I know. But Sapna you will have to know about this case better. Sikander ka bahar hona bohot bada problem hai. Tumhe patha nahi wo kithne saare cases mein juda hua hai. Or ab pattan lala ke contacts bhi hai tho.. he will be unstoppable. Just imagine how many more girls will be in his trap… teekhse soch lena.. I believe now the future of this case is in your hands. She was driving back to office. She kept thinking of his words. He picturised girls been kidnapped.. sold out… she felt bad.. then she remembered Arjun's words.. how Roshni was killed.. she was not able decide quickly. By that time she reached office. When she was opening the door she heard his voice

" kuch bhi hojaye Rathod.. hum Sapna ko aise khatre mein nahi daal sakte.. aise nahi hona chahiye. " there was concern in his voice. She thought for a while. " I am sorry sir.. I know that I am going to hurt you now.. please forgive me.." she went in " or agar mein ye kaam karne wali hu tho…?" Arjun was stunned to here this.

"kya keh rahe ho tum.. ?" he was near her. "pagal hogaye ho kya.. ya achanak mahaan banne ki koshish me ho?" he was fuming. 😡"koi mahan banne ka irada nahi hai sir.. bus duty kar rahi hu.. " she tried to calm him down. "sir please try to understand.. or koi rasta nahi hai… "

"kuch tho hoga Sapna… mein aise order nahi dunga tumhe… " Rathod was firm.

She went to him." Sir I know ke aap subko meri fikar hai… but please don't worry… I can do this… I am trained for this… or waise bhi aap sub hai na.. mere saath…" he thought for a while. It was true. But he couldn't betray his friend. " Rawte iske baath sahi hai… why don't we think about it.. "

"Rathod tum bhi… iske saath…" he couldn't believe.

"ok… sir lets think about it.. waise commissionser sir ne kaha hai ki…" she couldn't complete. "to tum mere baath se zyada ab uske baath man ne lagi ho?"😡 she didn't know to answer that. She kept silent. He was going out and stopped at the door. "jo plan karna hai karlo… par mein isme shamil nahi hoga… I know what to do.." he glared at her and walked out.

He went home and sat on his bed. He didn't know what to do.."how can she say that.. use tho apni jaan ke bhi parva nahi hai… par mein aise hone nahi dungi…" he looked at Roshni's photo."please help me jaan…"

She came to his home and saw him sitting in his bedroom looking at Roshni. She felt so bad and went and sat near him. "sir…" he looked away from her. She sat on her knees on the floor in front of him.

" naaraz ho mujhse? I am sorry… par please try to understand… I am just trying to help everyone. " he looked at her "kaise Sapna? Apne jaan ko khathre mein dalke.? How can you think like that?"

She cupped his face in her hands and made him look at her. "sir aap jan na chahthe ho ki mein aise kyu kar rahi hu? Its becoz I believe in you. Apna aap se zyada. I am sure ke aap mujhe kuch hone nahi denge."

"how can you be so confident.? Agar mein nahi kar payi tho?"

"you will sir… I know you will… please sir mere saath dijiye.. let me do it..please.." he kept looking at her for a while. "lets go…" he said. Even now he was not ready to accept it. "par ek shark hai.. agar mujhe patha chala ki koi khathra hai.. I'll stop this mission.. or us waqt tum sirf meri sunoge…"

"promise sir… ab hum chale.." they drove back and reached ETF office. Trio noticed that Arjun was still not ready. He was quite. "sir.. we are ready…" Sapna said firmly to Rathod looking at Arjun. They sat down for discussion. Arjun didn't say a word.

"Sapna.. as you are ready for this mission..I will once again say this is going to be a tough one…" she nodded. "or ab Rawte.. jaise ab sab is plan pe chal raha hai…" Arjun glared at Rathod.😡he stopped for a second and continued…" tho jaise mein keh raha tha… ab sikander ko lagna hoga that she is Special to you.. tho isliye…" he was not sure how to put it forward.. " tum dono ko… shaadi karni hogi…" Sapna was a bit shocked. She had never thought of that angle, but Arjun had… he looked at her pleadingly " please Sapna.. there is still time… back off…please…" .

CHAPTER 20:

Sapna didn't know how to respond. She wanted to go on with the case… but was not sure about marriage.. it was not that she didn't like him.. she didn't want to hurt his feelings. She thought well for a minute. She looked at everyone. All were waiting for a reply. She looked at him. There was pain in his eyes. It screamed no…. but it was her decision time… she took a deep breath and prayed silently. And looked at Arjun. " I am ready sir…." Arjun felt so weak… he didn't want any of this to happen. He closed his eyes. It was burning and then looked at her with all the pity. "kyu Sapna … kyu apne zindagi aise waste karne wali ho…?". He stood up and walked towards the door but was stopped by her voice.

"mein aapse shaadi karke meri zindagi waste nahi kar rahi.. balki ek naye matlab denekesoch rahi hu… " he went out. " sir aap sab thayyari kijiye.. he will be ready…if not for him.. he will be ready for me…" she said to Rathod.

Rathod Shree and Chotu arranged a small marriage function at the court. Only they were there. Arjun was present at the court in the morning. He was completely emotionless. Wore a white shirt and black pants..and was leaning onto a pillar, arms crossed across the chest.. lost in thoughts. Rathod felt pity on him.."Rawte mujhe patha hai ke tum ab bhi ready nahi ho.. but believe me bohot jald you will be happy for this decision. Thab tum dono bohot kush hoge… "

"kaash jo tum kaho wo sach ho Rathod.. par mujhe ye fikar hai.. ke in sab ke baath Sapna kaise feel karege.. shaadi koi samjhoda nahi hai Rathod.. jab thak wo puri dil se na ho.. wo shaadi hi nahi.. " he walked away."tum nahi janthe Rawte.. wo puri dil se hi ye kar rahi hai…"

Sapna came to the court on time. She was wearing a red saree with minimum jewelry. She looked so cute. Arjun felt a pain in his heart.. they moved to the court and proceedings were carried on. Now they were officially Mr and Mrs: Arjun Rawte. They went out and reached his home.. the same place were she had arranged Roshni's bday. Shree and Chotu helped to do the Grahpravesh.. there was still silence in the air. She excused and went to the room were she kept her bags. After a while she came out with a mangalsutra in her neck and sindoor on fore head. All were happy to see this. But he was still feeling guilty. By evening Shree and Chotu had arranged a small dinner keeping herself free for the day. After dinner everyone were there speaking about what to do next. "sir.. ab shaadi tho ho gayi… lekin hame kaisa patha chalega ke Sikander ko ye baath patha chala hai?" Shree asked. "use patha chal gaya hoge Shree.. usne kasam khaye hai ke mujhe aaram se jeene nahi doge.. tho usne sab patha chal gaya hoga… ab bas right time ka wait kar rahe hoge…"

Pathan lala's cabin:

"tune suna sikander.. hamare yaar Rawte firse shaadi ki hai?" pathan asked sarcastically. "patha hai lala… patha nahi hame kyu nahi bulaya?"

"bulaya nahi tho kya hua.. chalthe hai use milne.. or dono ko uske pahle biwi ke pass bhejthe hai…"

"nahi lala.. abhi abhi shaadi hua hai.. use jeene do.. 7 din or 7 raath jeene dethe hai..aatwa rathko hum dekhlege… " they laughed heartily.

Arjun's home:

"ok guys .. lets go.." said Rathod. Both Sapna and Arjun went with them to the door. " bye yaar.. apna ghayaal rakhna.." Chotu and Shree told their best friend. Rathod walked a little away from them and told to Arjun " Rawte… please us se naaraz math hona… she really cares for you.." "I know Rathod ..I'll keep her safe.. " the 3 of them left. Sapna and Arjun were sitting in the hall. After a while" Sapna.. mein ab bhi ready nahi hu… I know ki tum shaadi mein bohot believe karthe ho.. but I still need time.."

"its ok sir.. I can under stand… raath bohot hogaye hai… aap aaram kijiye…good night sir…"

"good night…" she smiled at him😊 and went to her room. He was looking her for a while… and then went to his room. They couldn't sleep the whole night.

In the morning he woke up with her sweet voice. She was praying.. singing sweetly.. he came out and saw her doing the aarthi.. she was in a beautiful red saree… 😳he looked at her for a while and then went to get freshen up. When he came back breakfast was already on the table. "good morning Sir.. breakfast ready hai.."

"good morning.. " they had their breakfast. He helped her to get the plates back to the kitchen. After cleaning she changed to her formals with her sindoor and mangalsutra on. " chale sir.."

"yeah… ek minute Sapna.. tum mujhe ab Arjun bula sakthe ho.." he said relaxed. She was so happy..😊

" thanks sir.." he raised his eye brows.😉 "I mean… Arjun.." they smiled and went to office. All were happy to see them ok. They worked as usual. All these days they didn't have a clue of Sikander. It was the 7^th day. Arjun was irritated. "ye chal ka rahe hai… wo ab thak samne kyu nahi aaya..?"

"shayad wo dar gaye ho sir..isliye.." Chotu said

"tum use nahi jaanthe Chotu.. wo aisa nahi hai.. agar ithne din chup hai.. tho iska matlab koi bada plan hai… mujhe bohot fikar ho rahe hai Rathod.. " he was looking at her who was near the coffee maker.

" Don't worry Rawte.. use kuch nahi hoga…"
