Final Chapter

Arjun stood outside the SUV waiting for her confession, but she gave him a simple, "Dekhoon gi, sochoon gi." and smiled.

"Kya Dekhna hain, aur kya sochna hain?" he asked playfully knowing full well that Riya was only teasing him. He already knew that she loved him from the earlier kisses, but he also needed to hear the words, as if the words would be able to give him all the happiness in the world.

But still Riya just smirked and entered the SUV.

Arjun pulled a disappointing face and went in the SUV also.

"Tumhe koi fark nahi parta?" he tried again with a sulking face.

But Riya knew that he was only emotionally blackmailing her, so she changed the topic and started to talk about the case they had just solved.

Arjun, being the cop he was, would be easily side-tracked without his knowledge onto another topic, she thought. However this time not even the case managed to change his mind. Throughout the whole journey, he tried various ways to make her confess, but Riya remained adamant, she was actually enjoying this very much.

They had just reached their home, and when they entered inside, Arjun tried again. But still no answer, Riya was busy everytime changing the subject, to the big disappointment of Arjun.

"So you wont confess?" asked Arjun for the hundredth time, he already knew she loved her, but still he needed to hear the words. But Riya was just avoiding the topic and always running away from him.

He approached her, and picked her in his arms and took her to his bedroom. He gently placed her on the bed, and lay next to her, and held her tightly so that she couldn't run away.

He started kissing her near her ear, and whispered, "So my love, you wont accept?"

"I have tried manners, blackmail and sweet words, but still you refused to confess. Now i'd try something else Miss Riya, and this time you'll have to confess. After all you are against the great Arjun," he said and without giving her any respite started to kiss her senseless. At first Riya resisted him, but after some time, she could no longer keep her control, and started to kiss him back with the same passion. However, just when she started to respond, Arjun stopped kissing her. Now his mouth, slightly parted, caressed her high cheekbone, the soft line of her jaw, her chin.and started to kiss her neck. He bit her on her neck and lapped it with his tongue to ease the pain. He continued to kiss her on her neck, and went to bite her again where her pulse was beating. He again went to tease her a bit by kissing her again, and biting her on her lower lip. Just when she started to respond and kiss him back, he again drew apart, and they both were looking at each other while their breathing slowed, their eyes fastened together, devouring and intense, their hearts beating in unison, the torrent of feelings each had awoken in the other having taken them both by surprise. Riya stared at Arjun with mute longing, with a half-suppressed gesture of appeal and frustration, her lower lip quivering, and at last those wonderful eyes fixed on his.

"Why aren't you kissing me?" asked Riya with puppy eyes.

"I'm not kissing you, i thought that was what i have been doing," Arjun replied with a smile.

"But why do you distance yourself away everytime i try to kiss you back," Riya said frustratingly.

"I need the words love, and till you dont give them, i wont kiss you at all," Arjun blackmailed her, and saying this he got up from the bed and made as if to go out of the room.

But however he couldn't even take one step, before he felt someone holding his hands. He smiled and turned at the most beautiful lady he had ever seen in his life, with so much love easily seen in her eyes, however Riya had challenged him, and he had already confessed, then he was adamant that Riya also confess, even if he had to play hard to get for some time, he thought happily.

Riya made him sit on the bed next to her, and tried to confess her love, however all of a sudden she felt a sudden shyness and didnt know how to express her love. She got up and went to lie in his arms, with her head lying on his chest listening to his heartbeats.

"I love you so much, i never realised that i could love someone so much, but i love you more than myself. Will you now please kiss me back as i want and love," she asked meekly.

She had just finished saying those words, that without any notice Arjun threw her back on the bed and went to lie next to her, and started kissing her passionately devouring her lips, and when she started to kiss him back yielding her lips to his and opening them the more to appreciate his kiss, which was long and deep, soft and caressing, evoking feelings and disturbing sensations she had never known existed. After a few minutes both stopped so as to be able to breath a bit. After giving some respite to Riya, Arjun started to kiss her again, this time his kisses a bit different trying to lead towards the final union of themselves.

She was breathless, frightened, exhilarated, all at once. But those old scruples were grinding away at her, she had always wanted to be married before ever giving herself to any man.

"I know," he said softly. "You want to wait for the saath pheres and all the rituals, but to arrange that would take some time, especially if you want to invite everyone for it. That's weeks away." He pulled her to him, "Don't make me wait," he whispered huskily.

"Arjun..." She was torn, tortured.

He reached into his pocket and pulled out the jewellery box. He opened it. Inside were a simple diamond ring, "A piece of paper with a seal or taking saath pheres isn't going to make that much difference. With this ring," he said tenderly, sliding it onto her ring finger, "I hereby wed you, and promise that I'll never betray you, will always love you, will always protect you, will always give you happiness, that i will always be there with you in happiness and sadness. The rest will come later. I really love you Riya," he added with worship. "I'll love you until I die. Will you marry me?"

She could barely see the ring or him for the blur of tears. "Yes," she whispered.

He bent and drew his lips over hers, teasing them apart, coaxing them to kiss him back. She gasped as a charge of passion as powerful as a lightning strike shook her. The shock was in her eyes when she met his.

"We begin here, now, Riya," he said seriously. "The first day of the rest of our lives. Let me love you."

She was already too far gone to think of refusing him. They finally united as one.

He'd planned to have a big wedding, but his conscience got the better of him. In the night itself, he left a sleeping Riya and went to phone Rathore and Shree and Chotu and asked them to make all arrangements so that he can marry Riya legally and in a temple tomorrow itself.

So the next day, to the surprise of Riya, he drove Riya to the marriage registrate and got married to her legally with Rathore and Shree as their witness. After that without wasting any time, they drove to a nearby temple where Chotu was waiting for them and had already prepared everything for their marriage rituals to take place.

Finally two different persons, had found love and peace by becoming one.
