Mr Kiptea's House

"toh batao tumne aisa kyu kiya?" barked Rathore at Mr Kiptea.

Mr Kiptea: Sir, I shapath! Maine yeh nehi kiya. Par haan, maine hi uss lash ko road pe chodha tha. Main darr gayi thi sir!

Arjun: Kitne baaje dekha tha tumne woh lash?

Mr kiptea: raatke kareeb 3 baaje. Meri Dog, Elmar, achanak bhoukne laga. Toh maine darwaza kholke dekha ki waha lash pari hui thi. Aur khabrake jungle ki raaste se uss lash ko sarak pe phek k aa gayi thi.

Rathore : Bina koyi sabut k hum tumhari baat pe yakin kaise kar sakte hai?

Mr. Kiptea: Sir, main bhala uss ladki ko kyu marunga?

"Kyuki aap ki yeh property uss ladki hai!" A female voice alleged from behind. Rathore, Arjun, Shree were interrogating Mr. Kiptea in his drawing room. They looked at the main gate to see, Riya entering the room with Chotu, followed by a new girl. Shree gaped at the new girl in awe. Uska dill ka guitar toh baj gaya boss! ;)
She was petite and hardly be 5.3 in height. But damn, she was pretty and cute. Long black curls slightly kissing her cheeks, and those brown doe eyes. Hayee hayee, Shree ki raato ki hosh toh gayee hi samjho. On the other hand, Rathore, Arjun looked at the new girl raising an eyebrow.

"Oh sorry sir! I'm Neha Khanna. Forensic Science Expert." Neha, the new girl replied, shaking her hand with them. Shree's hand just 'happened to' linger a little bit more but Neha took away her hand. Awkward! ;)

"Oh, of course! Commissioner sir ne bataya tha. Par tum toh kal tak join nehi kar rahi thi na?" Rathore asked her, shaking her hand.

"Oh bas ghar baithe baithe pakk gayi thi toh ETF office chali gayi. Waha Riya aur Chotu bhai mile toh unke saath aa gayi."said Neha, smiling.

"well, Neha, welcome to ETF! I guess Riya ne tumhe sab samjha diya hai." "Yes, Sir" came Riya's reply. And for once, Arjun's eyes fell on her. Riya looked at Arjun at the same time. Arjun looked away that very instant.

"Aab kuch kaam ki baat kare?" called out an impatient Arjun. Rathore rolled his eyes at Raute's lack of communication while the others said "yes, sir" rather scared.

"Yeh ghar Shama Sarker ki naam pe hai. Shama Sarker is our victim sir." Neha told them, glaring at Mr. Kiptea.

"aab toh tumhare paas motive bhi hai usse marne ki! Disgusting!" Rathore spitted out in anger. "Chotu, ala Geun ja" Arjun beseeched.

ETF Headquarters:

"Aas paas ki logo se kya pata chala hai?" Arjun asked no one in particular but knowing really well that Rathore had sent Riya to do this job.

" Yaha pe 5 aur aise hi ghar hai. Chutti ki mausam hai toh Owners saab abhi yahi pe hai. Maine saab se baat ki hai. Unme se 2 log kal raat ko bahar thhe and they have alibi for that. And baki log yeh dawa kar rahe hai ki who ghar pe hi thhe." Riya replied.

"Riya, yeh Shama Sarker ki bare mein aur kuch pata chala?" Rathore asked Shree.

"Haan sir. Shama Delhi mein padhai karti thi. Haali mein yaha pe aaye thi. Woh shree ne humhe uski hotel ki address pataya tha. So, we went to her hotel and searched her room. Bohot hi ajeeb baat pata chali hai." Riya answered.

"Uski Father, Gajendar Sarker ki maut bhi kuch iss tarah se hi hui thi. And Shama yaha uski dad ki murderer ko dhundne aayi thi." Replied a rather hesitant Neha.

"What?" Exclaimed Rathore.

Shree : "haan sir, police report ki hisab se, he was slaughtered. Forensic said there were total 20 cuts on his body. Kuch mahino tak chanbin chalti rahi but police couldn't catch the culprit and this case was somehow closed."

Neha: "Forensic k hisab se there are 18 cuts on Shama's body. And she has been brutally raped by 3 men before they slaughtered her." The team flinched at hearing this. How can a human be so ruthless!! Neha got teary while Riya got totally quiet thinking about that poor girl which didn't go unnoticed by the ETF boys.

"Team, take a lunch break. We'll continue afterwards." ETF chief stated.

Riya was sitting on a table, all alone, thinking about that girl. That poor girl must have gone through hell! She took out her diary and started to scribble on it.

"Dear Diary,

Hey! I am back. Promise kiya tha na?

Pata hai diary'kabhi kabhi main yeh sochke hairaan ho jaati hu ki akhir koi insaan aisa kaise kar sakte hai? Hum insaan hai, toh aisi janowaro jaisi harkat koi kyu karta hai? Lalach, gussa, jealousy insab mein log insaniyat bhool jaate hai.

How can a someone rape a girl, jab unhe janam dene wali hi ek aurat hai! How and why? Kya milta hai.. aise insaniyat ko mitake?"

"Ri'. Kya kar rahi hai?" came shree's voice. She looked up to see Chotu, Neha and Shree standing with their lunch boxes.

Riya hurriedly wiped away the tears that were about to flow and smiled at them, "Nothing." She kept away her diary.

"Lunch nehi karna hai kya?" Neha asked her while sitting down on the chair next to Riya. Shree sat down next to Neha quickly before Chotu even had a chance to walk at this direction.

"Woh actually main kuch pack hi nehi kar payi thi. But don't worry! Coffee keeps me going!" Riya said, giving them a big smile.

"Aise kaise Riya? Aab hum dost hai na..toh humari saath share karlo." Chotu said, keeping a reassuring hand on Riya's.

"Duh! Chotu bilkul sahi keh raha hai." Neha said while Shree started to sing,

"Joh tera hai woh mera hai, jo mera hai who tera"

Soon Neha, Chotu joined in singing with him. This made Riya genuinely smile. She was sure they'd be friends forever. And keep her safe from Mr Akru Raute,Riya chuckled at her own thought.

But she was unaware of the fact that someone was thoroughly watching her since she was writing on her diary. Her Mr Akru Raute very well knew how sad and upset she'd be regarding this case. Riya was delicately soft when it comes to emotions. She was that kind of a person who'd sacrifice everything to keep someone happy. Dusro ki dukho ko apna bana leti hai Riya. Her quietness worried him. He saw her sitting alone, writing on that diary of her. But soon joined by the others. He smiled at their antics and was happy that they actually cared for her which "he thinks" he failed miserably. Arjun turned to leave when he heard his name mentioned.

"Awww guys! Thank you so much!" Riya said while side hugging them.

"Vaise guys, yeh Arjun sir ka humesha se hi itni kharoos thhe ya phir aaj koi medicine liya hai kharoospan ka?" Neha asked the trio.

"Woh toh sayed bachpan se hi aise kharoos hai. Unki janam ki baad sayed unki maa neb hi kaha hoga.. 'hayee mere lal peele, kitna kharoos hai tu!" Shree said. Riya, Chotu, Neha burst out laughing.

Arjun was glaring at Shree but slightly smiled when he saw Riya laughing.

"Arre nehi. Dungu toh bohot sweet hai, bas kabhi kabhi kharoos hota tha! Jahapana ki mood pe depend karta hai" Riya told them, still laughing.

"Dungu?" Shree asked her. They looked at her confused.

Riya realized that she just called Arjun Dungu infront the team. "tum Arjun sir ko Dungu bulate ho?" Asked Neha.

"woh main.." Riya stammered. And right then she saw him walking into the room, looking directly at her. Was that a slight smile on his lips?

Arjun heard her calling him Dungu. After God knows how many days! He just had started to believe that maybe he won't ever hear her calling him 'Dungu'. He wanted to just hug her till this eternity ends. Arjun started to walk towards her only to realize what he was doing! He stopped but hell, everyone had already seen him. He looked at Riya and just couldn't help that slight smile that creeped up on his lips.

Riya saw arjun walking upto the coffee machine. The trio looked at the duo. They knew something was brewing between this too. Kuch toh kashish hai aur phir yeh kahu, kuch toh chut raha hai!

"Riya tum yeh daal khao. Meri aai ne banayi hai. It's the best" Chotu said, trying to divert the situation.

Riya, lost in her thought, took a bit of the daal and was about to put it on her mouth when a strong hand smacked her spoon away. Riya stood up and looked at the figure who did that. Before she could even bark at him, Arjun literally growled at her,

"What is wrong with you? Itni laparva kaise ho sakti ho tum?"

"What the hell! Ek toh aapne mera spoon gira diya, uparse mujhe hi daant rahe ho?" Riya got mad.

Chotu, Shree and Neha just stood there quietly observing this two.

"Iss daal mein Celery hai Riya! Aur agar yaad na aaye toh bata du ki tumhe celery se allergy hai!" Arjun voiced or should I say shouted. Riya was speechless! He still remembers! She forgot all her issues and was happy to see him remembering this small thing about her after all these years!

Arjun left the room without giving any glances to anyone. Riya looked at his re-treating back and no wonder, there was tears in her eyes.

Riya excused herself and left the room as well, leaving a shocked trio behind.

Chotu: "Guys, kuch toh gadhbar hai."

Neha: "Bohot kuch chut bhi raha hai."

Shree: "par kya, dammit?"

"pata karna hoga" and they looked at each other, grinning.

"And all along I believed I would find you

Time has brought your heart to me

I have loved you for a thousand years

I'll love you for a thousand more..."
