"Jawab dene ki liye subh muhlat ka intezar kar rahe ho kya?" an irritated Rathore asked.
"What?" both asked, coming out of their trance. "Do you know each other?" Rathore repeated.
Riya and Arjun looked at each other. "Yes." Arjun replied while Riya said no! Dang, the hell broke loose. Arjun felt like his heart has been stabbed several times. How can she deny meeting him? Their friendship? How could she lie when she hasn't certainly forgotten him? And why?
Riya realized what she did and the look on Arjun's face, yeah, Arjun Raute's glares make you shiver, you know! "Umm, we were group mates back in an exchange program." She finished, looking anywhere but him.
"kahi yeh woh Riya toh nehi." Rathore thought, while looking at the duo. "Main uss jangal mein ja rahi hu, wahi pe kuch surag milega." Arjun said, and started walking towards the jungle, without giving any glance to Riya or giving Rathore a chance to ask farther.
Riya looked down in shame. "Kya riya! Sochke muh kholna chahiye tha na! Pata nehi usse kaisa lag raha hoga!" she looked at his retreating back.
Shree and Chotu was approaching her to ask how she met this saru boss but was cut by Rathore. "ACP Arjun Raute, ETF second in command. Aab agar introduction khatam ho gaye ho toh kuch kam kare?" Rathore retreated. "Yes Sir." The trio replied. " ACP! Wah" Riya beamed proudly at his success.
Riya started examining the body closely this time. When she noticed something on her hair. There was sand on her hair. But how did she get sand on her hair? She thought and the answer came to her mind. Beach of course!
"Sir, I think we found the murder place!" Riya informed the team and explained how found sand on her hair. "and beach yaha se 5 minute ki duri pe hi hai." Rathore passed on. Right then Rathore's phone buzzed on. "Haan, humhe bhi pata chal gaya hai ki beach pe hua hai yeh khoon." Rathore answered the phone without giving the caller any chance to speak.
"Riya bhi tumhare tarah dharti hilane wala discoveries kar rahi hai." Rathore told Arjun. Riya turned red.
"main beach pe hu." Arjun said and cut the call annoyed. Not that he didn't like Rathore sarcastically praising Riya! He was proud of her but yes, hurt also.
He had already seen sand on the death body and instantly knew this had happened in the beach. He took the jungle route to make sure the killer came by the highway to drop the body. If they had taken the jungle route, Arjun'd find some clues there and he did. There were blood stains which were fresh and clearly belonged to the victim.
He saw some houses near the beach. One wouldn't dare to slaughter someone in a beach, he thought. Maybe in one of the houses! Just then, whole ETF team came. Riya looked at Arjun who pretended like she wasn't even there. Arjun told Rathore about what he found.
"Shree, collect those blood samples from the jungle route and send them to lab." Rathore instructed shree. "Chotu, pata karo ki kal raat yaha pehradar kaun tha. Aur Riya, aas paas ki logo se pata karo ki kisiko kuch bhi pata hai ki nehi." The trio left.
Arjun looked in some houses and found one suspicious. Mr. Kiptea, the owner of the house was now being questioned by Arjun.
"aapne kal raat ko yaha kuch unusual dekha?" Arjun asked Mr. Kiptea, while eyeing the sandy yard.
"nehi. Hum toh raat sare 9 baje hi so gaye the." Mr Kiptea replied, scared.
Arjun: "kya koi iss baat ki proof de sakte hai?"
Mr. Kiptea : "Nehi sir. Hum akele rehte hai yaha."
Arjun: "Vaise aap ki yard thodi ajeeb nehi hai?"
Mr Kiptea: "Kya matlab?" He was sweating.
"Baki saare gharo ki yard mein bhigi reth nehi hai, sirf aapki hi hai. Aab woh kyu hai ye samjhe ya samjhau?" Arjun charged him while calling Rathore to let him know that they have their suspect no.1.
