Sach Mein Ek dosti ke chakkar mein Tamashahi ne show ka kya haal bana diya hai. Show was supposed to be about Anupamaa, a woman who was cheated on, disrespected and her efforts undermined by her own family. How she finds her own self. Instead it became about glorifying that very same family and adulterer husband.
Anupamaa only gets suffering and DDP while Vanar gets infinite redemption chances and constant justifications for his never ending 'Pita ka dukh' despite being vile, interfering in her life, what he did with Mukku, kavya etc. Let's not even mention how Anuj character has become a complete joke as a result of backhand insecurity.
And today Anupamaa is getting slapped. While Vanar only got defenses made on behalf of him by Anupamaa herself. So is Vanar the protagonist of the show?
There is one more takeaway. Despite trying to move on in lyphe, Anupamaa only made a mess both professionally and personally. Is Tamashahi secretly portraying regression that she should never have left him and a woman can't manage by herself? Let's compare with the flagship show that never ends.
There he showed traditional joint phemli in Season 1 where the protagonists had arranged marriage and managed to do well mostly but in Season 2 he flipped the script and showed love marriage where the lead couple mostly faced problems and a lot of separation. I believe it's the same for Season 3 (haven't watched). So the lesson is that traditional patriarchal systems work best......
