hmm. I started very late too. Then I watched regularly. Then watched few clips here and there. Then I relied heavily on written updates here and occasionally watched a clip or two. Now a days I read only written updates (sometimes). This show doesn't interest me anymore😵

I come here still, for the interesting conversations like this one.

Running away is always the solution in Indian serials 😆 bonus points if you pretend to die and have a child 🤣

if you can't soldier it up then no shame in running away until you are ready to face it. Depends on if odds are in your favor and how well you know yourself. A city and the people you are surrounded with can sometimes have a overwhelming influence and running away is an opportunity to reinvent. I say keep running as long as you are evolving.

But if you are just going to wear a shawl like rajesh khanna and sing that song- Jeevan key safar mein bichadd jaatey hain jo humsafar, woh phir nahien aatey.............. then you are merely carrying your desperation from one city to another.

run to evolve not to despair

Thank you for sharing this beautifully reflective poem. Your view of the world is coloured by your intrinsic nature. So, if fundamentally you remain the same and don't evolve, you will carry that view with you regardless of where you end up physically. I love how the poet says it here.

It's human nature to want things to change for the better, but not many have the depth of thought, or even strength of character, to understand and accept that true change begins from within. That which is without, and over which we have little control, can merely act as an impetus, if that.

Like you said, it's good that Anupa is trying to build a new life, but until the time that her sense of self is based on an inherent need to be needed, not much will change. As for our resident Devdas,

"Whatever I try to do is fated to turn out wrong and my heart lies buried like something dead."

^and this is not going to change anytime soon for him because every character exists only to burnish the angelic sheen of Anupa. The more illogical his behaviour, the more her patience and calmness and faith is highlighted.

With him being out of it, our original cad gets a chance to occupy centre stage with his shenanigans. When nayi udaans are being brandished in the name of rinse and repeat, why should he not dive in!

Dumb, dumber, dumbest. The only description they share out equally between themselves.

Running away can detrimental to other person. Because it puts other person in hope which can turn into anxiety n affect their mental health.

Like anupama herself imagined that anuj is on guilt trip n they would meet soon. Anupama is shown to be mentally strong but not all are.

If u really don't want to come back in someone's life tell them straight on their face n tell them reasons too so they too can move on in life.

Anuj is behaving like he is a boyfriend that he can do break up n run away. He is married n left his wife behind. He can at least ask her to come with him to Mumbai n if she still continues her weird behaviour he can ask for divorce n free both of them.

Beautiful poem ❤️

No matter where you run, you cannot escape from yourself. Anuj is not unhappy with his environment, he is unhappy from within. In ITV, he won't be happy till he gets Anupama. In real life, he would probably benefit from therapy / life coach and relearn how to love and create peace and happiness for himself. Being emotional dependent is not a good thing, running to people to make you happy is not a good thing.

The way I see this show is that the only story left is the one before Jan 23, before Anuj asked Anupama to draw boundaries and have healthy relationships. If a viewer enjoys that (Shahs on priority by Anupama) continue, otherwise leave. I see no long term progress for any character now and Anupama's individual journey will never be shown in details or a fairly realistic way.
