Or

"Dolly, Molly, Holly, I've dressed you all up for my doll! Now let's have some breakfast together!" (or whatever the hell that was)

Even if the script is not in one's control....the facial expressions are in their control...the body language is in their control......did you see how Maya did ..Manwa laage....and how Mata ji did it.....with her weird expressions and flailing her arms....I don't believe anyone who tells me that Rupali is not a bad actor....😵

How do you think Maya would say something like "Swagwali Maya is back?" Hmm...still probably much better than Rupali, the way she is now.

I just think it's an interesting discussion point!

It doesn't matter. The show is number 1 and is already termed a successful one. The show has also won awards. So whether people in India Forums or Twitter hate them or not, they don't care!

To be honest, if I was in their team, I wouldn't care too! Because my KPIs are getting fulfilled

What I feel is even the cast of MAA show knows that there is nothing left in the show. It is just a regular job. The script plays a pivotal role in one's acting and if an actor doesn't connect with the character then it is not possible to do justice to the portrayal of the character

Added later: Since I am writing I do feel the same way. The main reason I don't write anything about MAA is because I do not understand her character at all and I do not connect with her for the same reason.

True, she wasn't this bad before. I have wondered about it too. Based on other examples/analysis,this is my theory, take it with loads of salt.😊

IMO,creativity is endless. The pursuit for perfection and doing better than before is one of the innate traits of humans. As long one believes that there is room for improvement there is always creativity, to improvize, to do better than before.

The drive to be perfect dies the minute one assumes there is nothing to improve upon or they have surpassed perfection. This misconception that they are an epitome of perfection, coupled with other factors such as peer pressure, competition, monetary compensation etc just adds to the problem, forcing the talent curve to take a u-turn.

In the performing arts industry, there are countless such examples. It is rare to find talent that is exhibited consistently over years, leave alone decades. That is why perhaps, the likes of Lata Mangeshkar et al are called legends are only a handful in a country of billions.

ps: I am/was not a fan of RG, have not seen her prior works either. This is my general observation on arts, human talent( innate vs learned).

Smitha, you wrote this much after a long time! I got reminded of your lovely drabbles that were your take on the everyday scenes! good times

At this point she isn't putting any efforts... just completing for the sake of completion. Besides we all know how all the characters of this show have been butchered. No one can connect anymore to any of them...

Anupamaa is a biased mom but not the way u think.

When that crazy lady Megha tried to attack Aadhya with a knife, Anupamaa was the one who took the bullet for her and almost died. Before that...
