Don’t know if she knows. But tbh I don’t understand why people hate Anupama’s character because her character and what she’s going through is realistic for a woman who have been abused and conditioned for decades. She can’t leave in-laws whom she used to be free maid of and take their word for everything so fast and/or leave her children just because she got married. The children are her responsibility too.
It’s actually good progression that she’s becoming aware of her patterns by Anuj and trying her best to overcome it. But it can’t happen in one day or few weeks even. She has been married for few months(I assume). It takes a very long time to over toxic ppl whom you were dependent and conditioned by and sometimes lifetime. In fact, I know many like her irl. It would be unrealistic if she was shown completely getting over the toxic in-laws and having anything to do with them after she got married. She’s shown to be a flawed person and makers are showing her that way and pointing her flaws by Anuj. Even though they try to show her as mahaan which is annoying but at the same time she’s a good person. So it makes sense why they show her as both.
The char is far from anything real, IMO. Divorce/separation is a big joke in this show.
I do not understand why she cannot leave her ex-in-laws and children. Ofcourse, there will be some ties to that family because the common factor between her & family are her children. When she made the decision to divorce, she should have first come up with a plan on how her life is going to be soon after she signs the dotted line, a plan to co-parent in the case of young children. That is what divorce means when children are involved. This is not the same as disowning. Here her children are married adults. There is no country/culture that does what is depicted on this show.
This is a fictional work. We cannot wait for several years to see the change in her char. It is beyond annoying to see her go back repeatedly to her ex-in-laws & children only to get abused and then pull out the victim card.
Her char is someone who chooses to remain blind to her own flaws and reject those who point them to her. Honestly,I do not see an ounce of goodness in her. The char is an epitome of hypocrisy.
