The real reason behind his outrage is actually Jhule ki chudail ruining all his efforts. Poori car journey itni mehnat ki to brainwash the cash cow but jhuli couldn't resist having another humiliation insult session and his well laid plan backfired. Definitely interested to see what's his next strategy...

I do find Bapuji being the master manipulator of everything a very amusing perspective that I think has been born out of this forum - but I doubt that it is the intention of the makers to portray him in that manner. I think the impression of him being an emotional blackmailer lingers because he has been used as a plot device time and time again to get Anupama to be sucked back into the Shahverse, right from the most crucial juncture when Anupama was on rise-from-the-ashes mode after Vanraj's betrayal and wanted to be a completely independent woman living on her own terms (feels like a decade ago) - and Bapuji very nicely and very sweetly gave the entire house to her and pleaded that she not abandon them. It's almost like that started a domino effect of a series of toxic events that we are still witnessing today.
