I remember when I was in 1st class, I won a painting competition, I got a consolation prize, but it was a big deal for me bcoz I am bad at this stuff, we couldn't go as it was raining a lot and we didn't have many transport options.

(I didn't get the award that I got at that time as we failed to reach that day).

A few years later my brother got 1st position at the same place,

So my dad requested the management and I too got that award that day.

It can be a small thing, but it made my day and made me happy, it always reminds me that my parents won't ever discriminate between us.

We couldn't get that few years bcoz of unavoidable circumstances still he made sure I get later so that I don't feel bad.

So this is why I am getting so annoyed seeing Anupama ka attitude, these small things hurt a kid and later it has a huge impact on a person.

Woh sirf dance, stage ya trophy nahi thi, it was about her parents supporting and being with her and unfortunately, Anupama has always failed.

thats great of your dad to do that hats off to such a great dad

but in general all over world usa too daughters or girls are discriminated at homes compared to brothers

No matter how much we hate Anupamaa for prioritising others over her child, this is what many kids' fate is. Many children have to go through this and parents don't make it a big deal.

"Kids are to be heard and not seen" is what happens in most families. Parents side with outsiders over their own kids, their child's self respect is none of their concern, they only want an obedient, samajhdaar kid, that's it. This is why adults love to show off before others how obedient and mature their kids are.

It's bold of the makers to give Anuj dialogues such as "I don't want my child to be mature beyond her years" because that's exactly what many parents aspire for in their children. Anupamaa represents those parents.

Having brought up in an environment such as this where a child's self respect and desires don't matter much for the parents, kids grow up much before becoming adult but the truth is they never grow up. Ironically they never grow up to be self-reliant, decisive adults who can make and maintain boundaries, decide for themselves. They grow up only physically, internally they remain those love craving children, favouring others over themselves, prioritising others over themselves.

I cried when Anuj made a big deal of it because parents usually do behave as if it's not. A child's self respect, wishes and self esteem are the last things on their parents' mind.

I'm happy they chose to showcase it. I just hope, Anu gets to live her childhood and doesn't mature before her years.

Anupama didn't say a genuine sorry to her child once. Why? Because she didn't think it was that important. For her, Anuj snatching his hand from hers was more important, not Anu's tears. In this case she's just like Leela. Leela just said it openly. Anupamaa said it through her actions. I'm not saying she's a bad person. But this is how many parents are. They actually care for and focus on their stubborn, angry child more than the understanding one. It's realistic. And then these children grow up making everyone happy but themselves, caring for everybody but themselves and get taken advantage of the most by everybody, because they grow up believing they aren't important.

I would love to see a different adulthood for Anu, though💔

Bold part even I thought the same .. when I was watching the serial , when Anuj confronts her it seems like she was worried because Anuj was angry she didn't have even an ounce of guilt for what CA went through.

Dance competition was important to her because Anuj was already angry with her and this was her last chance to prove herself as best maa in front of Anuj .

It was not because she loved CA as a daughter but it will make Anuj happy. She gave lecture to CA when she was said but not once accepted that she is sorry that because of her CA didn't even had a chance to prove herself, taking part in the competition and loosing is different thing and

Samar pakhi dimpy could have been left at home atleast they all with baa could manage pari better and she should have left early with CA but she was the last one to left

I know baa does not like dimpy but then it's her choice to eat or not but it wasn't like do or die situation that Anupama couldn't leave baa and pari with others it was normal situation even sometimes mother leave their child with bua/chacha/mosi and take rest

anupama has become like Baa to kapadiyas

Like Baa orders and misbehaves with all others in shah home

anupama has become a Baa in kapdiya house to CA, barkha, adhk, ankush, sara etc whoever

anuj has become like vanraj for Baa in kapadiya to cover up anupamas all faults and threaten other family to fall in line no matter how wrong Baanupama is

Banuppama knows if her Vanraj in kapadiyas anuj gets angry with her her positon as Baa in kapadiyas will shake so shes only worried to please him anong kapadiyas if he shows anger

Rest kapadiya including CA, GKK kaka, Mukku can go to hell as long as her vanraj anuj is loyal to her and can threaten others in kapadiya to follow Banupama orders

Basically anuj is the doll rather terminator that starts dancing on Banupama orders and makes others follow Banupama orders

Why is anuj important to Banupam ato please if he gets upset or angry is because he is the ultimate owner of kapadiya empire and mansion and can take away all her powers and wealth that will help her very dear 3 kids, baa, bapuji, vanraj shah in future
