Exactly.. agree with you, moral policing dikhane ki zaroorat nahi hai, just leave it be, no need to comment because as you said OTT pe they show everything, even gay men doing it (which I was surpsingly shocked, didn't know Indian tv was that bold and accepting)

Yes, they did not show the two going into a hotel room but they were by themselves on a number of occasions, isn't it? They too were totally financially dependent on their parents, what the hell, they still are. Once their love was revealed, Shahs and everyone supported them and were a unit. It is this support that stopped them from doing anything nasty.

In all of today's drama, didn't understand why these emotions/words/ didn't come out of baa when toshu or Vanraj did this? Typical gender bias🤔 sons grandson can never do wrong or should be forgiven.

Why is kalank and zaher dena all this lectures didn't come out from baa, at that time what bloody Hippocracy.

This is exactly what they are highlighting in this serial ….The gender bias ingrained in the various generations.

I haven’t watched episode, only going by updates ...

Totally agree it’s so irritating why Anupamaa keeps harping about Maryadaa wrt her and Anuj’s relationship , it’s kinda even insulting to the TRP audience... They were progressive enough to appreciate a divorcee moving on , falling in love and having a 2nd marriage , that’s why the show is still topping the TRP charts . What they did not like was a 50 year old abuser , abusing an emotionally ull vulnerable DV victim and they showed their clear dislike for the track through the TRPs . Then why this unnecessary talk of Maryadaa , I don’t think the TRP audience cares ,in fact the highest TRP came at a time when Anupamaa was supposedly “ living in “ at Anuj’s place post his accident .
N if the show wants to be so righteous then they shouldn’t have talked about Anuj’s ONS ( not once , but it was brought up multiple times ) , usko bhi sant dikha dete

Also I think it goes back to the root cause, that Pakhi lied and broke her parents trust, that should be the topic of discussion, her sneaky ways, her shortcut attitude get rich khayali pulao.

Anupamaa also had some inherent bias against Adhik which were confirmed by Barkha acknowledging their poor state.

So as a parent Anu does have a point against Pakhi, also about wanting everything for free attitude but I think makers are not able to decide where to take this angle moral policing, family kalank route or breaking trust/lying route

They have established Adhik as the bad boy the moment he was introduced and that is going to be it for as long as the serial is. Everyone else (Shahs) can swing like a pendulum between extreme righteous to dark amd back.

Frankly, I dont understand.. whats the point of discussion. sex is not allowed until one is independent or before marriage. What is maryada? and who sets maryada .

Why are we comparing it with western culture?

If we see Indian culture, Does our indian culture allows parents shouting in front of teenagers ... Maa says- mera pyaar kanhaji ka pyaar, mera pyaar meera ji ka, pita says Maine saccha pyaar. kiya hai. , brother is spending the whole day at girl's house,dancing , God knows what are they doing even before settling in career and the Other brother had also affair during college time, who can say that they were in maryada or not

May be They were lucky enough that they were not caught or they had personal space 😆

Today, if youngsters are having affairs and are serious in their relationship, first of all, they think of career and they do not think of marriage unless they are well settled or achieve what they want in their career.

It depends on the environment that we parents are giving. Its responsibility of parents to lay a strong foundation, inculcate the values, and guide from time to time How can one expect great building on a weak foundation?We cant blame kids for everything.Even youngsters including girls of the lower class think of being independent whether educated or not. I dont know shah family kisko belong karti hai

After an age, parents can just tell what's right or wrong but scolding, lecturing, and arguing, creating scenes every time in front of everyone ( just bcoz you are parent), will make them more rebellious IMO.
